I was driving back from lunch on 166th street and got a golf ball through my windshield. No one confessed to it and Stonycreek refused to reimburse me for damages. Needless to say it's left a bad impression on me.

Iβm not sure who the GCSAA is at Stony Creek but he/she and their staff should be very proud of their work.
I have worked and played at many golf courses throughout the states and overseas between South Korea and Japan and Stony creek is in my y top ten of conditions that I have played over my 40 years of play.!!
Kudos to the GCSAA and staff at Stony Creek!!

Golden thing at Stony Creek. Chocolate Chip cookis they will take you back to childhood.
Honestly this place has it all in Hamilton County and they are a little pricey on the weekend but nothing that is ridiculous for Hamilton county. They have a par 3, a great range, and the 18 hole course is beautiful and fun to play. Weekday rates are great.

I was able to get a tee time for a single, thatβs a big deal around these parts.
$56 peak rate, about a 5 hour round but thatβs expected on a nice weekend day. Donβt get me wrong Iβm not expecting a perfect place but those greens are the worst ive played on in years. Super tough, divots everywhere and itβs not well manicured. Maybe itβll be in better shape as the year progresses.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this golf course. The staff was exceptionally rude from the moment I arrived, and it seemed like they had no interest in providing even basic customer service. Every interaction felt like an inconvenience to them. To make matters worse, the course itself was poorly maintained and seemed completely mismanaged. The overall organization was a mess. I expected much better for the price and reputation, but this was one of the worst golf experiences Iβve ever had. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent round of golf with kind customer service. Avoid this place there are plenty of other great courses in the area.
As requested visit date was September 21st around 4pm the golf starter at hole one was exceptionally rude and literally yelled at members of my group. Ruined the whole experience to the point of being ready to leave.

They like to pack the tee times full here so If youβre a twosome then you can expect to play with another random twosome who were able to book the same tee time. It doesnβt account for level of play being paired and I like to play golf with my buddies without worrying about who weβre going to have to play with.
I havenβt seen this at other courses but I donβt like the idea of paying for my round and getting paired up with anyone. Singles who want a faster round this could really slow you down.
The course is good, the price is fair.

Absolutely the best course in the area for the price. Well kept, always soft and green, and really great staff. The course is fun and good challenge for anyone as the tees range from Junior to Tips.

The course is in great shape! Cheers to the grounds crew! Also, the food is delicious and inexpensive. I definitely recommend stopping in and the turn and take advantage of calling the number at hole nine back tees so itβs ready for you as everything is cooked to order. They have breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, brats, cheeseburgers, pulled pork, chicken/and or tuna salad sandwiches, and turkey or ham sandwiches along with all the snacky things you would want. Totally worth the price and more to play this unknown gem!

Chose this place to play the par three 9 hole course during the eclipse April 8th 2024. Greens were faster than I hoped π€ But really neat place to play. Staff was nice to this first time visitor. Will keep this place in mind on my travels in the future.
Special shout out for the neighbors for giving me two pairs of extra solar glasses during the event. You rock.

Great course. Great mix of fun and challenging holes. Super friendly staff in the Clubhouse. Let's talk price....wow. Couldn't ask for better prices post covid for a course of this quality. I think Greens fees were in the neighborhood of 17-19 bucks. Being located were it is that's fantastic. The greens and fairways were in decent shape. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a round if your in the area.

This is a fun 18 hole course with plenty of challenging holes, but not so difficult that itβs not fun to play. The prices are reasonable, and the club pro, John, is very helpful and friendly. As a suggestion, book your tee times plenty in advance, this course is popular and books up fast.

Was my 1st time playing golf there and didn't like your place. Old guy Manager was pushing me , didn't even enjoyed it. Never coming back!!!
Reply. It was Saturday 27th of May. Tony, Javid and 1 other guy. 12 pm. I came there to enjoy not to get pushed. We were not even playing slow to get reminded to play faster. I will spend my money elsewhere is what I will do.

Longest round of golf β³οΈ I ever played. 12:15 tee off, completed around 5:30. Ranger did make an effort to speed things up, after the first 2 holes were around 40 minutes. The course greens and fairways are well kept. However, tee boxes need attention. Hope to return some day for a better experience.

Horrible experience at SC today! The ranger was extremely rude. Followed us from hole to hole, ran my ball over and agued with us about pace of play while slowing us down on every hole. I had to speak with 3 people at the clubhouse before talking with the manager who was just a rude and condescending as the ranger. He didnβt take any accountability for himself or his employees or offer any kind of apology he just shoved our money at us when we said we wanted a refund and told us to have a great day. He also told us thatβs not how they treat their customers which is funny because almost every bad review on here is about the rangers/staff and how terrible they treat people. I will definitely not be renewing my membership or golfing at SC again.

Played this course for the first time tonight. The staff was extremely friendly. The clubhouse was very nicely stocked. The lady at the snack bar was awesome. The fairways were well maintained and the course was challenging but also allows for a mid handicapper great opportunity for regulation shots. I didnβt get a chance to hit the range but it looked very nice. The ranger was a cool dude. Green fees were very reasonable at $35. Iβll be back. Thanks for a great experience.

Would not recommend this course. The staff is rude and harassed me and my 3 friends during the front and last half of the back. In short, this place is ran by a bunch of old grumpy men with nothing better to do than harass the players on the course. If you read the other many reviews it's the same case. Management needs to figure something out about these grumpy old men.

Edit 7/15/22: Been a few years since I originally wrote a review, and thought I should give an update. The conditions of the course have improved drastically since my original review. I'm impressed! My dad and I have been playing 9 here on a near weekly basis, and both of us are impressed with the conditions. Because of this, I'm updating my review from 4 to 5 stars. My only complaint is that the tee times always feel a bit rushed; as soon as the group ahead is not in driving distance, the starter is waving the next group up. Play can get a bit cramped and there can sometimes be a bit of waiting around on tee boxes.
--
Didn't get out last year, but was looking forward to getting out early this year. I read some of the other reviews that the greens were in terrible condition last year, and was definitely worried that the conditions were going to be bad, and that I wasn't going to get moneys worth playing. Decided to give it a shot this past weekend. Safe to say that the greens, for the most part, seem to be recovering, with a few on the back 9 that definitely look like they had been destroyed and are still recovering. A few holes I just picked up my ball from the green, and moved on without putting. Overall, for $13 walking 18 holes, it was definitely worth the price to me. I still had a great time, and most of the greens were playable.

Played with a group of 4. The ranger started us 5 minutes late and then after 7 holes was extremely rude about how we were 10 minutes behind. Could have asked nicely or with some manners. I'm guessing his mother never taught him any. Also we were pretty close to the group in front of us and could not have gone much faster The ranger followed us and kept giving us an attitude. I suppose he doesn't care about paying customers.

The ranger here hurried us onto the tee before our scheduled time which made no sense because we still wound up waiting on the group ahead. We played in under 4 hours, yet were very rudely told that play must stop at 9pm even though we had paid for 18 holes and were permitted off the back with more than 2 hours until 9pm. As a golf course, the grass is extremely inconsistent with some holes being wet while others are bone dry. The greens are hard as stone with long, shaggy grass so they play extremely slowly. Skip this course - the ranger is a power-tripping jerk and the grounds aren't well kept.

If you want to enjoy a round of golf don't play this course. The golf ranger is very rude and unprofessional. He is out on the course harrasing you speed up your play. If they don't want anyone to play the course they should make it a private members only course. My group will not play there again!

What an improvement!
Have played Stonycreek several times each of the last 3 years. Was pretty good 2 years ago (at least for the price). Last year, the greens started deteriorating, they destroyed #10 green by misapplication of fertilizer, and several other greens were severely damaged. The entire course nosedived and gave up playing there in 2018. Went back in early spring 2019, not much improvement, and hole 18 was completely torn up for drainage issues. Because of terrible conditions, we completely quit playing there. Decided to give it one more try a couple of weeks ago, and were amazed by the improvement. Played again last weekend, and couldn't be happier with the overall condition. Greens went from completely unacceptable with multiple deadspots and terribly inconsistent, to some of the best conditioned greens around. A great, great turnaround by the grounds crew and staff there.
Last year at this time, I would have given 1 star, it is an easy 5 stars for the value now.

Extremely pleasant and knowledgeable staff. The greens have suffered from misguided application of chemicals. New sod has been laid; the fairways are great to distinctive and the greens hold shots played to them as required. Nicely appointed pro shop with test Ping woods available at no charge for use during a round. Practice facility, nice teeing area, target boards for pitching to nice audio feedback. Bunker and chipping green also well kept. Gas carts with windshields a must in November and December. Good layout with well situated tees for players of all levels. Worth the money!

Was told on phone "1 or 2 greens were in rough shape." Most greens were beyond very rough. The normal rate on weekend for 18 and cart is $46. We were preemptively given a $7 discount. After playing I politely went up and explained to the associate that the condition did not justify a $39 price tag. Especially since there was a very low turn out on a 70 degrees and sunny Sunday, the community must have known of the issues. There was no offer of refund, appropriate discount, or even a rain check round for later. There are too many golf options in the area for this level of service. To be clear it wasn't the fact that the greens were in bad shape, it wasn't commensurate with the cost. That plus the lack of making a customer satisfied makes me not wish to return.

Absolutely horrible conditions on the green. They dont tell you that when paying. I paid at 254pm and at 3pm it is $22 not $30. Asked for an $8 dollar discount for not informing of the conditions. Would not give me a refund. I would not waste my money or time here.

Great layout and nice staff but currently the greens are 100% unplayable. Looks like they were destroyed with herbicide. I had a feeling something was wrong with the price being so inexpensive but I was traveling for work so did not know. When I payed the gentleman said the greens arenβt in the condition that they would want so they reduced the price. I would have appreciated 100% transparency and just tell me they are unplayable. Before you play this course make sure you ask the condition!

The friendly cafe staff and the course itself were excellent. No other stars due to pushy and harassing starter/official. I came with a large group (20) twice on a weekend. First time the starter was being pushy and moving our carts as we were teeing off. OK, whatever. Second visit, probably the same guy - followed around my 4 some and the 4 some behind us for most of the front nine. He probably went to "keep an eye on" the other three 4 sums when he finally left us alone. This guy picked up some balls on the hole behind us (never seen that happen before) that he thought were ours that we had lost and gave them to us. Turned out that was the group's shots behind us, nice one bud. I heard later from others that he picked up one of my friends balls after a poor tee off and told him to go chip up at the green. Mind you, this was not a busy spot on a random Monday, and our pace was fine. There's likely more stories but I didn't solicit from all 19 others. Needless to say, they need to fire this jack ass; turned a nice event into an annoying experience.

This is my top course in the Noblesville area. They have a great 18 hole, with a very challenging back 9, as well as a fun and quick 9 hole par 3. The driving range uses a key fob like system, so its really easy to hit balls without stopping in at the shop if you sign up for the service. Prices are ok and way cheaper than a course just down the road. The club house is well stocked, and has decent lunch options at the turn.

Nice golf course away from the busy areas of Fishers and Carmel! The course is always in good shape and the greens run very true which is nice compared to some of the other nice courses who have fast greens but a little bumpy (for some reason I think Gray Eagle is the bumpy greens course I remember). Nice, big driving range and they even have a 9-hole par 3 course. The course is a little short but narrow on the back 9. It should not be confused with a very nice private course or a 5 star public course as the club house is nothing special and they do not serve or allow beer on the course (I don't drink so it doesn't bother me). Overall 4 stars (maybe 3 1/2) based on course conditions/quality, lack of crowdedness, value, layout/challenge. The price is also nice as it's only $26 for 18 and a cart after 3:00 PM M-F. Weekend price probably drops this course to 3 stars as its around $40ish which is one of the big factors to me when picking a course to play.
