I signed my 3 year old (rather uncoordinated) son up for the tumble tots class (4 weeks during summer), I will start by saying he had alot of fun and was much more comfortable by the last class. I am writing this review for other moms of high energy boys who may be looking for advice on signing their kid up. The gym itself was a little overstimulated for a 3 year old with multiple classes going on around you while doing your class. His teacher was nice but I wished she wouldve introduced herself to the parents & kids. The teacher did struggle to engage my son and keep him on track, which I know is a task. I would advise maybe 2 teachers to a class or even smaller class sizes because kids would separate from the group while the teacher would be helping someone else. Also a better spectator area for the little kids area, its very confined with other parents/kids and you cannot even watch your kid during class half of the time. Again, my kid had fun and thats what was important but these were just some of my observations where I think this gym could improve in order to be a bit more inclusive.

Summit Gymnastics is a wonderful place for the whole family. We started with enrolling our oldest son 5 years ago and not long after enrolled our 2 oldest daughters. We could not be more pleased with the staff, coaches, and gym owners. Summit has an amazing friendly, family oriented environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. We are very impressed with the boy's and girl's programs for both recreational and competitive gymnastics. We have encountered numerous coaches over the years and only have positive things to say about the experience with all of them.

I’m a gymnast at summit, and this fall I will be at summit for 5 years. Most of my favorite memory’s were made at Summit. The coaches are so nice, supporting, and I love that they push you to be the best that you can be. Love it here!!

The CHEER/TUMBLING program is a joke. My daughter has been going there for 3 years and has been stuck in ‘intermediate’ for over a year. Intermediate consisted of round-off and cartwheels because they kept letting girls into the class that couldn’t do them. My daughter has been able to do a back handspring since last summer but was rarely given the chance to do them in class because it was constantly round-offs. Not to mention that the tumbling class we never given the opportunity to work on the tumbling floor/mat.

She was recently given a ticket to move up to advanced by an instructor but then was told she would have to test again because the advanced instructor who hasn’t even worked with her didn’t think she would be ready because they were working on round-off back handspring tucks. If ‘intermediate’ class doesn’t teach tucks where is she supposed to learn it? Why would she need to test again? She performed what she needed to advance. It seems to me that there is a coach that doesn’t want to teach. I’m tired of different rules/expectations for different people. I guess my daughter is not one of the ‘chosen’ ones.

I promptly told them that my daughter would not be returning for the July session and would like my money back. I received a call that the coach (same one) that doesn’t want her class during the summer would love to have her in class during the fall. Why would I have her work with a coach that doesn’t want to work her? Nice try, not going to happen. You should never tell a child that she has the skills for advanced and then tell her she isn’t good enough.

She had already been enrolled at a different place and has been working on round-off double back hand spring and has only been there twice so I guess it is their loss.

In less then 1 year my daughter went from preschool program, to beginner girl, to preteam and she is only 5 years old. I love how they present the kids with a golden ticket letting them know they are ready to move up to the next level based off of skill and not age. We are on our third coach now and have loved them all.

Would give a zero star if I could. Do not enroll your children in this facility’s programs. Not safe for children. Should be shut down

All five of our children are enrolled either in the competitive program or rec program. I could not give a better compliment than entrusting their influence on our children multiple times per week, and have done so since our oldest now 13 years old, was 2.

Also, our youngest has Down Syndrome and the parent tot program has really helped him with his strength and gross motor skills!

We enjoyed watching our grandkids from the upper balcony. The kids love it and to me, the coaches seem to be knowledgeable and did a great job of giving some individual attention to each child.

As a collegiate Track and Field Athlete who has been involved in athletics my whole life I DO NOT APPROVE OF THIS FACILITY BEING A SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN. The owner, Janet, looked as if she was going to smack a child who was horsing around in the hallway with a stuffed animal when she was taking me to her “office” to kick my child out of the TODDLER program. Janet didn’t handle a situation, she created a situation. The people running this gymnastics establishment are very rude and AGGRESSIVE. They don’t seem like they care to be there and play favorites of the athletes. I have been going here since the summer and my daughter has loved it… UNTIL we got an instructor this fall that had some weird aggression towards my daughter. AND GET THIS, she isn’t the main instructor. She is a sub. Yelling at my daughter on the mat during STRETCHING. She is 3 years old! As everyone knows every child is different and if someone yells at my daughter it causes for a downward spiral of bad behavior. I think any instructor with aggression issues shouldn’t be working with 3 year old children. And any business owner should know proper etiquette of how to handle a situation and Janet unfortunately did not handle it well. Saying how they are “recording” and could pull out the “footage” of why my child was getting kicked out of class and siding with the instructor when everyone sitting in bleachers could hear her aggressively yelling at my toddler. Mind you, this is only 1 class that I was aware of of my daughter not listening but they acted as if they wanted to remove her for WEEKS now. Maybe if they would have addressed this situation sooner and found a better instructor for my child it would have turned out. I am not new to coaching. This is not how you handle a situation like this whether it’s a 3 year old or a college athlete. DO NOT GO HERE. The only right thing they did was refund the gymnastics tuition.

On a side note the sitting area for the parents is a JOKE and during the summers it is literally 110 degrees in there! No AC or heat. Find a better gymnastics academy!

I have had an amazing time the past 5 years. The coaches are really supportive and kind, but still push you to try new things. They always keep you safe and make sure you’re ready to do a skill before you try. There are 3 coaches I would like to give brownie points and a shoutout to, thank you to Emma, Britney, and Hannah for making my gymnastics journey the best time of my life. I will never forget you guys. Out of those 3 coaches I want to thank Britney especially. She has been with me on my journey for 4 years and has always been my favorite coach as she is super funny, kind, and supportive. I have always felt safe in her class and she has taught me almost all I know. I could not have made it without her. If you or your child has her, count yourself lucky that you have the best coach I’ve had. She will always help you and I can promise you will love gymnastics. Thank you summit, Emma, Hannah, and especially Britney, for helping to make my dream come true.

My daughter loves it here. The instructors are very nice and patient with her as she is new to gymnastics. They encourage the girls to do as much as they can physically do while building on skills for the future. She also gets to workout along side the big girls that she loves to watch and aspires to be like.

When I was a kid taking gymnastics at the y, this is the kind of place I would have imagined in my wildest dreams. They have small class sizes and their gym is absolutely full of equipment. So each kid when they're working on beam will have their own beam to work on to continuously practice trick after trick after trick. With multiple vaults multiple trampolines, multiple pads, beams, bars and apparatus... It's amazing. It's also a positive environment where everyone can learn at their own pace.

Overall good experience. I have a younger daughter (3.5 years old) and she has been doing gymnastics for several years. We moved from another gym in town because of scheduling and payment issues and have been very happy we did move. Classes are great and sizes are appropriate for the age group. Every now and then a scheduling issue may arise, but the staff does try and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

My kids enjoyed their classes, but I didn't enjoy the the unkept building. Summit Gymnastics would be optimal if they invested a bit more into maintaining the actual building. Smells really bad in there. Glass doors to enter gym are often filthy. The place should be cleaned more often. Overall the classes and instructors are mostly attentive.
