About the Club

We are a sports performance training facility in Bloomington, Indiana. We specialize in vertical jump training, speed, and explosiveness. We help athletes get stronger, faster, and get to the next level by improving athleticism.

We train youth athletes, as well jr. high and high school aged athletes. Come and work alongside the all levels of athletes who want to get faster and stronger!
We also have a world-class adult fitness program for parents of athletes and individuals who want to feel and look their best at ANY age. This program is best for those who want strength and body composition change. It is personalized fitness coaching with a close understanding of what you need for your safety and skill.

Teamwork has been WONDERFUL for our son this summer. They provided him with a structured and fun fitness plan to stay active and level up this summer. He often times mentions all the different coaches who interact with him and how ALL of them are really cool and help him. He likes the variety of moves they have him try, and feels like he is getting some noticeable results, as well as growing his confidence

My 10 year old daughter is finishing her first 6 weeks at Teamwork. It’s been awesome to see her progression. She’s not really into fitness but looks forward to going to class each week. The instructors are great and the way the sessions are structured with varying skill and age gives her motivation to improve. Would highly recommend Teamwork to athletes of all ages.

Teamwork is an amazing place for both youth athletes as well as adults who care about their fitness, strength and vitality. The coaches here make all the difference. They provide good guidance on proper form and client-specific recommendations on how to fix injuries/weaknesses. I felt comfortable pushing myself to get stronger and improve my coordination.

I really like the variation in workouts but things repeat often enough that I can see my own progress. Also, pushing the weight sled around is of the most exhausting but rewarding exercises I’ve done.

This is a great place to escape from being a “gym rat” and actually train to just be stronger or for sport-specific performance.

I went to teamwork from about 6th grade until I left for college basketball after high school and highly recommend the gym, staff, and owners to any athletes or adults that want to change their fitness and lives. Rod and his team at TWB are as good as it gets. I started as an inexperienced HS athlete looking to take my game to the next level and TWB prepared me to become a Big Ten athlete. Rod is always working on his knowledge within the field and never settles for just being good enough. He is always looking for what’s next and how his team can best help their athletes, no matter how old or experienced they are. Not to mention they provide the most welcoming environment a gym can have. I found myself motivated to go to TW for many reasons, but one of the top reasons would be their positive and friendly environment. Not only are you going to better yourself athletically or fitness-wise by going, but you will naturally build a lifelong community as well.

My teenage daughter has struggled with knee pain in track and basketball. She’s had PT, taped her knee, as well as worn a brace and compression leggings for additional support. She’s been going to Teamwork 2x per week for about 10 weeks and was able to play in summer basketball tournaments and games without pain and without additional support. (She’s had weight training and conditioning at school as well during the same time frame.) Her sprint and vertical jump have both increased since she’s been training at Teamwork. My daughter likes the coaches at Teamwork. When she’s had soreness after sports the coaches at Teamwork review the condition with her and help her address the underlying issues as well. I’ve been even more impressed than I’d hoped to be with Teamwork coaches working with my daughter.

My kids worked out with Rod Root before he and Erin started teamwork Bloomington and as soon as Teamwork opened they all signed up. Pretty soon I also became a client. Teamwork was the first gym I ever tried and it has set the standard for my workouts ever since. Rod and Erin go above and beyond to find the best fit for each person in the gym. Was a multi-sport athlete who LOVED hard workouts in high school. Joined the armed services and started to dislike any type of workout. Tried workouts at various gym with traditional equipment and even hired a trainer at a couple gyms. All of it came out as a big NOPE. 16 years after leaving high school I FINALLY found a gym that brought my love of working out back! Teamwork Bloomington is a fantastic gym with OUTSTANDING trainers, diverse workouts, and a holistic view to better health. 18+ months later at 37yrs old, I'm 40+lbs down, my nutrition is much better, and I still love the workouts. I had no intentions to begin a strength training program. A good friend ragged on me for weeks to come in and meet with Erin and Rod. I had a lot of excuses.

I agreed to give it a shot and have been going regularly for over two years. My 11 year old son is now training two days a week outside of his soccer and basketball routine. I feel better than I’ve felt in years. I’m stronger in nearly every aspect. It’s funny- my biggest fear when I started was that I would get injured having never done a real training program. As stable as I am now I am worried I may get injured if I quit !

Can’t say enough about how good Teamwork has been for me And I can’t wait to see how my son develops and with added strength and confidence.

If you are looking for a gym were you are personally trained, with good results. This is the place for you. Everyone one of the coaches here are awesome!! I personally been I member her for a year, have lost 100lbs. I have gained so much confidence. Not only are they great with adults, they are awesome with kids. They all take pride and love what they do. I would say they are the best gym in Bloomington!!

I am not a member but both of my children are members. They work out between 2-4 times a week here. The staff is fabulous and supportive. They want to see the athletes develop not only as an athlete but also as a human being. My kids love this place and I am so happy we made the decision to sign them up.

I don't see myself as a gym kinda guy. But I need to stay in shape for the work that I do. I started working out at Teamwork Bloomington about four months ago and I enjoy my time there. There is a great mix of people there from student athletes, adults training for a sport, and just ordinary folks like me who want to get into better shape.

The trainers are encouraging and supportive. If you want them to push you so you can be a better high school athlete they will. But if you are an adult with improved fitness as your goal they can take a more relaxed approach.

If you are thinking of starting a new fitness routine but a franchise mega gym turns you off, check out Teamwork Bloomington. They are great people who can help you reach your fitness goals!

If you want to work out in an environment where the coaches truly take an interest in your whole being, then Teamwork Bloomington is the place for you. Rod, Erin and the rest of the staff invest so much time and energy into the well being of their clients. They GET it! They understand the lifestyles and busy schedules of working parents, like me, and provide the best, most efficient workouts as well as nutrition coaching. They will get you on the path to a healthier you and you will not only see the results but, better yet, you will feel them! I have more energy and more confidence after every session at Teamwork. Oh, and not only do they train adults, but they train athletes as well. I have two teenage boys who train at Teamwork. One is a high schooler hoping to become a collegiate golfer and the other is a middle schooler who plays basketball and baseball. Teamwork tailors their workouts to fit the sport the athletes play to help them reach their peak performance! I honestly cannot say enough good things about my family's experience at TWB. Awesome facility, awesome staff, awesome results!

At the beginning of the year my wife joined TeamWork and as a family we started the nutrition plan (whole30) encouraged by Rod and Erin. I mostly went along with it to support my wife but started to see amazing results just through the change in diet. I dropped around 20 lbs and eliminated the severe heart burn that kept me up at night.

With such great results from the food alone I decided to join the gym along with my wife, (who has also seen amazing results). I've been attending the gym two days a week for the past two months and have dropped an additional 15 lbs (30 total) and my diet habits have completely changed for the better.

Another great instance of the care Rod puts into his training—Not too long ago I tweaked my back at work. I've had pretty chronic back pain off and on throughout adulthood and this time around was a real doosie. Typically when this happens, I take a break from the gym with the intention of resting up but then I always get out of the habit and go back to my old ways. But with the accountability model inherent in semi-personal training and Rod's expertise, I felt like I should continue going and I'm very glad I did. Rod modified the workout to accommodate my back injury, focusing on stretches and anarobic exercises intended to loosen my back up and get me functional throughout the day.

I see people of all ages and walks of life come in to train at TeamWork and we all seem so happy to be there. Rod and Erin are very genuine and friendly. And I'm really in the best shape of my life because of them.
