Here for a volleyball tournament this weekend. Horrible experience. First of all, parking is horrendous. People parking down side streets, backing up the residential areas in this area. Once I finally found parking, I walked nearly a mile to the entrance. The lady working the front desk says “$12 or $15 for admission in.” What?? The facilities had no fans, no air circulation. The courts were set up on top of baseball turf! Staff members were taking lunch boxes from the players and asking adults what they had in their bags, to avoid allowing outside food or drink in. Games went until 10pm but the concession stand closed over two hours prior. Absolutely horribly experience. If I could rank it lower, believe me I would.

Here for a volleyball tournament. This place is super outdated. Needs a face lift. No cell service unless you want to pay for their wifi. Seating is awful and the temperature inside made you sweat when it's 60 degrees outside. If your league plays tournaments here schedule elsehwere.

There is not enough room for spectators at tournaments - they trip over each other and won’t move when their teams are done. People are fighting each other for a little bit of space to just not have to stand for hours. There is no place for people to go in between their games and it feels claustrophobic. They don’t have enough space to accommodate everyone for food and the lines are too long. But when you bring in food from a place down the street they rudely single you out and make your kid eat outside in the cold when literally everyone has brought in their own food, including fast food from down the street. The bathroom stalls are so tiny you have to rub up against the walls and doors and toilet. Overall it feels dirty, gross, cramped, and hostile. We pay too much to our league and to get in here to have to deal with this mess too.

One of the worst organizations I have ever dealt with. Contacted them on Dec 20 to rent a court for Jan 11&12. After following up several times, I finally got a response on Jan 3, which was too late for me to plan for that weekend. It took another 5 days for them to tell me that all weekends are filled. Indoor soccer ref (Brock) does extremely little to protect players. He favors certain teams and allows them to foul and injure players with no repercussions. When presented with evidence of physical injury, he replied to me with “well what do you want me to do about it” instead of showing any interest in curbing said player’s behavior.

I’ve played in several volleyball events here. The courts are always clean, the nets and equipment are well maintained. The Friday night tournaments are highly competitive, but the open gym and leagues are easier to join in case you don’t know many people. I enjoy the prices at the bar and the food is really good!

Come to a softball tournament, and it's horrible to enjoy. You have to sit far back or try to get a seat upstairs. Where it's not the best. The food prices were fair but the food was cold. I ordered Nacho, and my cheese came straight out of the can not heated up. No zero drink option, but they don't allow you to bring in your own food or drink. The bartender was rude and unprofessional. Parking is horrible. They pack the place with multiple tournament. Like volleyball, soccer, and softball all playing at once. It could have been a fire hazzard with the tight walkway and overcrowded area. The people at the front desk during the day were amazing and nice. The night staff were rude and didn't care. The restroom needed more tlc than the staff wanted to take care of. The tables in the area were sticky and dirty. Make sure you have your pants tucked into your boots. See at least 2 mice running around the food court area.

The volleyball organization here is truly awful… the organizers recruit semi professional/ collegiate athletes to be on their team so they can dominate every Friday night. I mean smart idea trust but don’t make it seem like fun volleyball when you pay 10-20$ per tournament just to watch your team get handed to. If you’re looking for volleyball I recommend this place if you’re one of the above or else you will not have as much fun.

They need to limit tickets/admission for large events (and frankly, this place really isn’t big enough to be hosting large sporting events with a lot of out of state attendance). Having parking overflow where around 100 vehicles are parked on both sides of the road, in other private business lots, and all along the streets of adjacent neighborhoods is not only inconsiderate, but almost certainly a fire code violation having that many people in the building at once.

This is the best maintained sports facility I have ever been to with a professional team of staff that organize events and tournaments very well! The owner Damon has a true passion for sports and the development of kids in Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer and Softball. Walking into The SportZone was a disappointing experience from the start. Not only were we unexpectedly charged an entrance fee per person, but the facility itself was underwhelming. The softball games were difficult to watch, and the overall cleanliness inside was appalling. The only saving grace was the average quality of food and snacks, although we didn't dare try the adult beverages. Overall, a lackluster and unsanitary venue that failed to meet expectations.

SportZone has multiple volleyball, soccer, and basketball courts. It also features a workout room for group fitness and other amenities. I visited while it was rented out by my campus ministry, so I'm uncertain of day-to-day use. It was a relatively nice space with plenty of room for the large group it hosted.

Place used to be okay until new leadership. The gal believes she is the best thing around Indiana when she isn’t. She upped prices 15%, gate fees by 40% and says that people should stop complaining. You already charge $50 more than competition and people supported you and now you want to force customers to pay more for less time playing?? If you want more support add an extra team to a tournament and don’t charge your loyal people more… seems like someone needs to give this ownership a reality check (Judy) before they lose their support from their used to be loyal customers. The staff is very rude besides the young kids - it’s actually backwards in what’s supposed to happen. You might have been the place to place in years past, but trust me, we will all go elsewhere.
