GymAbout the Club
The Plassman Athletic Center was an addition added on to the existing Turnstone building in 2015. This side of the building houses an adaptive, inclusive fitness center, a pool, and a large fieldhouse with an indoor track and 4 collegiate-sized basketball courts. Turnstone is a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower people with disabilities through comprehensive services and programs.

This place is great! I tried to go here a couple times a week to work out in their gym. You don't have to be afraid of being judged here, everybody is very kind and accepting. Love this place!

My Mother-in-law has been coming to Turnstone since ~2009, after her stroke. She'll be 91 this month and still goes 3x's/wk!! She attributes her wellness to Turnstone. She tells every person she meets, "Turnstone is why I'm alive and well today." she has completed the Fort for Fitness 4K run/walk about a dozen or more times with Turnstone! She's a true inspiration, and I, too, believe it is because of Turnstone and all of the great trainers and staff that are there caring so much about her! Thank you, Turnstone❤️

Has a wonderful indoor track in the gymnasium. Has a swimming pool but is really for therapeutic use since the temperature of the water is really really warm

Went to a travel basketball game here July 2024. Very nice facilities: clean, easy to find court and bathroom. Only negative was the parking lot was full and we had to create a spot of our own.

Excellent place to go for physical therapy and a lot more. They have a workout center, a therapy pool, and a gym with a track and basketball court. And many classes you can take. The employees are very friendly, kind and professional.

This has been a positive venue for our Lutheran Basketball Association of America - National Basketball Tournament these last 2 years. They have worked hard to accommodate our needs and we have been able to successfully hold the tournament at their facilities. We will look to progressively enhance the tournament each year at this site in the years to come.

We were here for a week for the Boccia Ball National Tournament. We were so impressed with the quality of the facility for disabled individuals. The restrooms had all handicapped stalls complete with emergency pull cords in every stall. The parking facilities were well laid out and 20 to 25 handicapped accessible slots for vans. The balcony provided easy viewing of all the courts. A lot of thought has gone into the development of this facility.

8 years of AAU basketball and this is my favorite facility. Can see 4 courts from any seat. Walking path around perimeter of courts. Concession stand, extremely nice staff, very clean, easy to park, everything about this facility is GREAT!

Beautiful, spacious, very large indoor track with 4 full sized basketball courts. I was very impressed with the new facility for youth and adult handicapped people. And I only saw part of the facilities. I know there are class and meeting rooms available too as well a offices for leadership.
Fort Wayne is blessed to have this opportunity to serve another aspect of social and special services for the region and national programs! Kadoos to Turnstone and it's leadership!!!
