Only sign up if your serious. They make cancellation such a pain. Be cautious.

Terrible. If you are considering becoming a member of this gym please just put a gun in your mouth and pull the trigger. I pre-paid so that I could use the steam room and half of the time itβs broken or they shut it off early so the maintenance guy can clean it on customer time.

there is nothing worse than paying good money and wasting gas to go to a gym that will not open up on time or as advertised. It is not 5 or 10 or even 15 mins but when a gym does not even open up after an hour when it is supposed to and you are waiting this is so unacceptable. this is why people leave and cancel the membership. this is not the first time. either get new management or people who want to do their job. I turn a blind eye when it comes to many substandard equipment there like broken cardio equipment that has been like that for years and never repaired or outdated machines BUT not opening when they say they will i will not accept

I love the Golds, Powerhouse, and World gym types, but, this gym is not up to par and Is an embarrassment to the World Gym name. This Gym says it offers 3 day pass to new members. It's more like one day and you have to beg for it... once you get there you won't like it. These machines are unkept. The machines are a liability, a lawsuit is waiting to happen. Cardio equipment is The original models from 1990. The shower is the nastiest I've ever seen in a public gym. Anyone that says this place is clean is just lieing. The layout is just horrendous. The equipment is just all over the place it's hard to move from spot to spot. The dumbbells or not in any order at all and the dumbbells might the oldest and out of date I've ever seen. I love old school cylinder iron blocks, but these Db' s are a joke. Cables are torn and worn. They might cut you. Anyone that gives this place a 5 star doesn't know what decent gym standards are, this ain't it folks.

Great Gym open 24 hours accept when it counts Fri and sat. They should switch closing hours with monday and tuesday, no one really use the gym after 10pm on those days. They better hurry before Xsport see this flaw.

Gym is good for variety free weights and equipment. More of hardcore gym which is what i like. Letty was very helpful and made my drop in easy. No complaints for quick workout. I did a day pass and will most likely be back when in the area

Letty is a horrible gym manager. She enforces rules on some members but not others. She needs to enforce all rules for every member and not change rules for her "favorite" members. Aside from her, the gym is good but not coming back while she is manager there.

Just started there this week. I understand everyone's complaints but it's not for the average fitness person. It's the place I've been looking for for years. Yes dumbells are all over. Yes weights are all over. But all of the lifting equipment and machines are hard core and help with growth. True weightlifting environment. It's not Hollywood high. It smells of testosterone lol. It's dark and not for people there to take selfies all day. The staff has been very nice to me so far. I have gotten the best weightlifting workouts in years this week alone. Cant wait to go back every day. It's not perfect for everyone, but it's perfect for some, me included. But if you want to throw weight around and make mass gains its legit

9 months ago I renewed my contract because I was told it was going back to 24hrs in 2 months.... nope! The staff isnβt very friendly. If you like tripping over equipment thatβs never put back or you donβt like finding the right dumbbells ever or you like lifting damn near in the dark or never having enough barbell clamps to secure your weights or you like benches that are quickly tearing more each day or you like gangs of 8-13 buddies crowded around one area hogging every pice of equipment... then this is a great gym for you!

A massive blood and guts type gym. I love this kind. It has every machine and free weight you could ever need. You can wear what you want, grunt as loud as you want lol, no one bothers you. It has a couple issues that could easily be improved on though. Some places you can get away with a few signs to remind members to re-rack their weights but it seems this doesn't work well here. The free weights section is wading through a war zone of iron all over the floor, and you really have to search for what you need. I think if every day at least started with the weights organized on the rack, it would help to inspire people to keep it that way. Most of these weights are very heavy, and the typical petite female employee this place has employed has little chance of doing anything with them. Someone needs to be employed at closing time who can handle 150lb dumbells.
The next thing is a suggestion for the people using the cardio equipment. All of the equipment is turned toward the exterior walls, which do have a few TVs on them. Hang the TVs from the trusses in the interior and turn all of the cardio equipment 180 degrees so they face the gym. This way people doing cardio can look out at the gym instead of a wall. I know the one wall has a window for part of it but I would still turn them.

Been going here for 5 years and it's gotten progressively worse over the years. I quit going and signed up elsewhere. I loved that it was a bodybuilding gym and all, but it got...below my standards. The equipment was always broken, locker room was always disgusting, the tanning booth was so old and bulbs were always out (not to mention they never clean it)... so glad I left.

Very unclean and old squeaky sticky equipment. Cable machines have gum or something stuck between weights. Treadmills are old with dusty fans and some don't even turn on. Locker rooms were disgusting. Staff was always just standing around. Some very loud obnoxious patrons. On top of that we moved to Arizona and needed to cancel membership and were told when figuring out how to cancel that we signed up for 18 months when we only signed a 12 month contract.

The gym is a good place to workout. It is kinda dirty and the weights are always on the floor and never put away to many members dont clean after themselves. Ive even seen them throw toliet paper on the floor or leave it wrapped on the toliets after use. The hours arent helpful to me cause i work nights and i can only workout in the early a.m hours. I became a lifetime member years ago when the hours were open 24hrs thru the week. This is frustraiting and I cant even use my membership at any other world gym. I paid a 300 dollar initiation fee in the beginning and never have to renew and locked in a 19.99 fee per month and now im regreting it

well ..in the last 3 months cleaning of the mens bathroom as improved , they look like they hired cleaning people to mop and clean twice a day..
which helped the people that dont know what s and w is.. the machine do need a daily tightning of nuts and bolts .. locktite goes a long way..
overall if your a die hard and believe in a good workout ..this gym will do..

World is very Clean and the staff is very professional. I enjoy working out there because the other people there are not there to socialize and chill, they're there to work out. There are a vast amount of machines. Even when its packed i never have to wait long for a machine i want to use.

Horrible. I signed up for a monthly payment for $30 a month and the next month they sent me a bill for $1224. They guy who signed me up didn't mention that I had to stay until I payed it off. Their just a bunch of con artist which makes them sound smarter than they really are. It smell horrible in there, the staff are a bunch of idiotic garbage stained a-holes. They over charge you for bad atmosphere, worst treatment and horrible instructor. Thank God for Planet Fitness, the Hammond civic center, and Charter. And True Fit if they ever open up here. I lost 70lbs with these gyms and all the years I spent at the gyms I still haven't paid as much as World (worst) gym. If there's a way to give them negative stars, please let me know.

I have just had the worst experience with world gym corporate office with the most Arrogant representative of World Gym by name of cody, and yes little c in cody.
I have moved and ask to break my contract that ends in July in less than 6 months. Was told by cody that I moved less than the mileage in order to break the contract. I used google map as cody stated they used, but when I did it the map came back with more mileage. I told cody that and he ask me to fax him, and so I faxed and email it to him. Called him back and was on the phone with him another 30 minus only for him to tell me βI got the proof and I see it, but our office pulls a shorter rout event if you donβt see itβ. I then asked him what was the reason he had me to do all of this he stated just to hear you out. I stated to him I needed help not your arrogant attitude.
If you need help donβt expect to get if from the corporate officeβ¦..:(
