My fianceé and I worked with Jordan at The World of Dance to help us prepare for our wedding. He was amazing to work with, very positive & encouraging, helped curate an awesome dance specific to our song, and even recorded videos with us to practice with later! We came into this with very little dance experience and came out with at least one dance under our belt and some special moves we can bust out during open dancing. Thanks for everything Jordan! My fiance and I had the most amazing experience here with Jordan. He took two absolute novices who knew nothing about dance and transformed us by teaching us a beautiful dance to a song of our choice. It was well worth the money. Jordan made each class enjoyable and we progressed quickly from knowing nothing to having a beautiful full wedding dance in just a few classes. We drove from Evansville to get here (think 2 hour drive) every class and it was 100% worth it! This will be the highlight of my wedding, I couldn’t think of a better investment!

My husband and I saw that they were having a special for Valentine’s Day so we signed up and had THE BEST EXPERIENCE with Jordan! My husband and I are both Puerto Rican and wanted to honor our roots by honing our salsa skills and Jordan SHOWED UP! I’m a little more advanced than my husband but even with the difference in our skill level, Jordan was able to meet our individual needs while keeping it fun! We did three sessions with him and would’ve signed up for more if we weren’t moving away! Highly recommend taking classes with Jordan!

Truly, the best dance studio— not just in town… but in the region! I just completed my first dance showcase after just under a year of lessons. What a joy and sense of accomplishment! The instructors are AMAZING— and the entire vibe is one of community, caring and support. It doesn’t matter your age , level of dance experience, or your ability level… what matters is the desire to want to dance. And the best part is, the great people who will teach, care about and support you in your journey. You always feel special (because you are! — that is the culture of the studio). That is reflected in the individual dance lessons. The group lessons are fun, informative and really helpful for all levels. And the Friday dance parties allow you to practice, dance with other instructors (and more advanced students!), and simply have a good time. 😊.
I cannot recommend World-of-Dance more highly! Do yourself a favor— try one of their incredible intro-packages at $50… and i know I will be seeing you in the studio!

Came to visit my daughter and wanted to dance. They invited us in with open arms for their weekly Friday dance party. Enjoyed dancing with Dimitriy with a Waltz and Tango. During the dance he gave praise to all the dancers when they were dancing. Will come again when we visit.

Where to begin--I absolutely love going to World of Dance. If you're concerned about whether or not you'll have a good time, you definitely will. The owners/instructors, Dmitriy and Oksana, are so kind, encouraging, and excited about dance. They give great feedback too--over the past few months, I feel like I've learned a tremendous amount. I see the improvement from week to week.

And it's important to know that I initially went into this whole thing with a really bad attitude. We went because my fiance's parents bought us a free lesson for the holidays. I didn't want to do it...so I begrudgingly went to the studio expecting to hate dancing. But from the moment I walked in, I felt at home. It was a lot of fun! I can't recommend this studio enough.

Great people. Great dancers. Great teachers. This is the place to go!

Update: My now husband and I moved away from Bloomington two years ago (in 2020), but we love this studio so much that we’ve continued taking dance lessons with them through Zoom. We’ll take lessons from them as long as they’ll have us.

My wife and I had a dance lesson for a special occasion. Oksana and Dmitriy are both so enthusiastic about their work and such patient instructors, I think they would set anyone at ease. Clearly they have been doing this forever. At moments when I was less confident (and I swear I did not telegraph it), she sensed it and responded with positive feedback. We had a wonderful time. We worked with Oksana from Fred Astaire Dance Studio to create and practice our first dance for our wedding. Oksana was very patient with us as neither my husband or I had had any dance experience. She created a dance that was accessible, fun, and went along with our first dance song. We were also invited back to the studio before our wedding to practice our dance in front of an audience. Overall, we had a great experience working with Oksana and I would recommend her and studio!

We have a very small amount of basic dance experience and received a dance package as a gift. I wasn’t sure what to expect in a private lesson having only done a few group lessons before. I love both the teachers at this studio they are very upbeat and happy and do a great job making everything simple and developing the movements and dances in a easy to follow way so you are never trying anything that is difficult to succeed at. The lessons fly by and feel like they only lasted a few minutes thats the best way I know to tell that I am having a blast.
