Updated Review...I have been with 5 Seasons for over 2 years now (I think- time flies when you're having fun). It is still one of my favorite places to be. The coaches are nothing short of motivating and supportive and I have met some of the best people there. It is truly a community that continues to inspire me daily.
The hardest part is walking in...but once you do, you will NOT regret it!

I have been a part of this gym for over ten years! The owners and coaches are incredibly welcoming and the sense of community is strong. There is a focus on building overall mental and physical health - not just CrossFit workouts and weights (but there is plenty of that as well!).

Working out at 5 seasons has taken me from no pull-ups, never having touched a barbelle and self conscious in the gym to my first pull-up, loving heavy lifting, and free to be my best without comparison to others. Love working out with my dad who is in his 60s and seeing people at all stages of life and fitness workout together!

Great gym! I’m an OG from the previous gym before Cliff & Nikki bought out Craft Fitness. I stayed to give them a chance and that was a good move! The programming is awesome, and built with purpose. The coaching is at a very high level always willing to help you reach your goals. Best of all is the reinvigorated community. Lots of support and friendships and positive energy! If you’re looking for a great gym with a vibrant community 5 Seasons CrossFit is the place!!

I have been with 5SCF for almost 8 years (wow time flies!) and have enjoyed every minute of it! The programming has enough variation that you are never bored of doing the same things, but enough repetition that you are able to see progress in the numbers. There is also a great wellness and nutrition program that is straightforward enough for anyone to follow as it is all about adjusting small things to a larger goal. And last, the community is fun and supportive in every way possible!
One of my favorite parts of the last 8 years has been working out through both of my pregnancies. The coaches have become very knowledgeable in modifications for those that are pregnant as the gym has had many pregnancies in the last 4 years! Just another notion that anyone can do CrossFit!

I absolutely love this gym. They were the second gym I tried when I moved to town in 2020, and I’ve been here ever since. Nikki, Cliff, and the coaching staff know how to build a strong, supportive, and fun community for both seasoned athletes and beginners. Not only do I get a great workout and learn and develop new fitness skills I’ve never tried, but I’ve also found some of my best friends in town here. I’ve had 2 babies since joining the gym and the coaches helped me safely stay active through both my pregnancies and my postpartum journeys, and I can confidently say I’m stronger now after 2 kids than I was when I was playing college soccer back in the day. Can’t say enough good things about 5 Seasons!!

I've been a member of 5 Seasons Crossfit for over 3 years and I plan to continue sweating here for many more. I love that the gym prioritizes setting and working towards my own individual goals and then offers a variety of comprehensive workouts to achieve them. It's a good mix of lifting and cardio and everything can be customized to any skill level and ability. Crossfit can seem intimidating but all of the coaches are highly knowledgeable and helpful and all the other gym go-ers are very welcoming.

I came to 5 seasons knowing very little about CrossFit. The whole community was so helpful and kind, showing me the ropes from the first few minutes I was there. I felt so welcomed by everyone. The coaches aren't just there because they have to be, it’s very obvious they want to be and truly care about you and motivating you. They’re always motivating you at the place you are at while pushing you to be better. Classes are so fun and really challenge you.

From the moment I walked in, the coaches were professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely cared about helping every athlete move well and train safely. I joined 5 Seasons a little under a year ago and can honestly say that I feel more healthy and strong than I ever have before. The community and coaching here is so positive and provides the accountability that helps you to achieve true progress. The addition of nutrition and wellness has been helpful in addressing all aspects of health and changing underlying nutrition habits that were not helping achieve that progress. If you are at all on the fence about trying 5 Seasons for assistance with fitness, nutrition, or general wellness… just go for it! From the moment you walk through the doors at 5 Seasons CrossFit , you are greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that instantly makes you feel welcome.
The gym itself is spotless, with top- equipment that is meticulously maintained. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help you with your fitness goals. They take the time to understand your needs and tailor the workouts to ensure you get the most out of each session.
What really sets this gym apart is the sense of community. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging, creating a positive environment that makes you look forward to every workout. The coaches are passionate about what they do and their energy is contagious.

Outstanding gym! STRONGLY RECOMMEND recently October ‘25, Dropped in for a 5 AM WOD. Was greeted by a super positive coach (Jule) who was very very welcoming, professional and knowledgable. This was 100% the cleanest and most well equipped crossfit gym I have ever visited. It was actually unbelievable.
The members were all super friendly. This was a partner WOD which for a drop in can be a challenge - not here, a member quickly asked me to partner and we had an amazing workout.
The drop in process was perfect, Communication with the owner was quick and clear, was able to complete the waiver on line beforehand with several payment options ( cash or Venmo)
The programming was also strong - on this day we had a 30 minute AMRAP with shoulder to overhead, pushups, box jumps and running . Some great fitness !
Overall I would strongly recommend anyone from a seasoned cross-fitter to someone just starting their fitness journey to stop in - your life will be forever changed for the better!

The 5SCF Nutrition 28 Day Challenge was an awesome experience that Re enforced existing habits with nutrition n movement but also introduced a new way of building in sleep and stress management accountabilities. The fitness & nutrition programs are great. Don't put off beginning either program, if you need help and accountability this is where you can get both. The coaches meet you where you are in both programs and give you the tools; space and programing to work on yourself at any age or any level of fitness. You will not be "pushed" by coaches, but you may well be inspired by gym mates to challenge yourself.

I really enjoyed and learned sooo much from this programs' nutrition and coaching such as the plate method, 10 minutes of stress management, 30 + minutes of movement, drinking 8 oz of water everyday, and sleeping at least 7 hours plus at night!
I would definitely recommend this program to someone struggling with their weight or trying to improve on their personal fitness goals to sign up for this program!

The support I have received in the last few months of being a member of 5SCF has been extremely beneficial to me. The positive encouragement is continuous! I cannot say enough positive things about this program! It is a simple, habit-based, very do-able and easy approach to living a healthy life. I have never been a fan of any fad diets, but always looking for ways to improve my nutrition and overall health. There is so much to learn in this program, and the support and sharing of ideas and tips from the coaches and the community is HUGE!! In a short time of implementing the habits, you really feel the difference in every aspect of your life. From a more nutritious plate-method to prioritizing sleep, and most importantly getting some balance in your mental wellbeing, this program is what we should all strive for! I am just finishing up the nutrition challenge at 5 seasons. I have loved the overall approach, but also how much this relates to your lifestyle and some simple thing you can do to incorporate this into your daily life. Dropped In at 5 Seasons Crossfit at a 6am class and had a great time! Very happy to have had a chance to fit in a great workout while on a business trip and to have met the 6am class as well as Nikki, Cliff and Jule! They all made me feel very welcomed. Nikki was very responsive via email when I reached out. The gym facilities are incredible and very clean. Happy to have found a gym community away from home. I love this gym, the Owners, the Coaches and the community of people who attend. I taught group fitness classes for over 20 years and had a preconceived notion of CrossFit before I stepped into the gym. My goal was to stay fit and healthy while having fun, and I didn't know if this style of workout was for me. I have lost track of time I've been at this gym now (maybe 8 years) and have enjoyed every second.
One thing that is so impressive to me is how clean this gym is. I have visited other gyms in the past and honestly no one keeps it as tidy!

I started Crossfit in Nov 2021. I started off very anxious; motivated and determined, but lacking the skill or technique knowledge. I quickly grew in confidence after being in class, learning by doing, and the coaches supporting and offer corrections where needed. I'm so thankful I didn't let my fear stop me.
My advice- if your curious, come check out a class. I promise you won't regret it and will see the ripple effect of change in multiple areas of your life!

Superb gym with amazing community of members and coaches. Joined back in November 2019 and have only gotten fitter and stronger in my fitness journey. Really enjoy the workouts, even the ones I think I'm going to hate as coaches do a wonderful job with programming. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Also love the location in downtown CR, and the actual physical location is a very cool old industrial building. This is a great gym, I moved from Davenport to Cedar Rapids and on recommendation of a friend I joined this gym. The camaraderie was exactly what defines the CrossFit community. I highly recommend if you're a beginner or at any level of fitness and are seeking to try CrossFit definitely go to 5 Seasons.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this CrossFit affiliate. The owners, Cliff & Nikki, have done a great job creating a family environment. No one has an ego, and we all push each other to be better today than we were yesterday. They do a great job with programming so we are never doing the same work out twice and they keep things balanced. The coaches are great at instructing proper form and technique and they are quick to provide encouragement during the WOD.
If you are tired of the same routine of going to the Y or Anytime Fitness but not actually see any progress, you need to try CrossFit. The community provides encouragement, support and accountability that you will not find anywhere else. Give us a try for a week, you will be glad you did!
