Adamantine® Yoga empowers everyday people to become extraordinary yoga practitioners. The practice is a set sequence of 15 yogic positions that map human mobility. It’s an elegant choreography of breath and movement that will lengthen and strengthen your body, quiet your mind, and shine your spirit. Founder James Miller teaches guided self-practice classes daily in his Des Moines, IA yoga studio.

I joined the Adamantine Yoga Community two years ago. I gained a daily, transformative, daily yoga practice. It has helped me quiet my mind, become stronger, more flexible, and focused.
James is a master at individualizing my practice so that it is differentiated to my body’s specific needs. This has helped my practice to continually grow and change over time.
Adamantine Yoga is something I will do for the rest of my life. When I think about my health, I make choices that will help me maintain my physical and mental health long term. Yoga is one of those choices.
I now have a practice that is specific to my body’s needs. I practice yoga daily and can take my practice anywhere with me.

I am turning 53 today and I’ve been practicing Adamantine Yoga for over a decade. The sequence is brilliant and balanced, and dedicated practice brings about an integration of your whole self. Over the years, Adamantine has given me different things at different times. Courage, confidence, self-awareness, flexibility, and accountability. But the three most important things I’ve received from this practice are:
Strength – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual strength to live this life with purpose.
Creativity – this practice has opened me up for expression in ways I never knew possible.
Wholeness – my Adamantine practice gives me a sense of being exactly where I am supposed to be and doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing at any given moment.

Adamantine ® is a well-balanced yoga sequence customized for you!
Having experienced many years of yoga classes before Adamantine®, I would often leave class feeling like something was missing. Why am I not progressing in certain poses or my overall flexibility? I now know the missing element was having a consistent, well-thought-out yoga sequence. With James, I have learned this self-guided practice and am now achieving proper form in my yoga poses which has supported my progress. This practice empowers me to own my yoga journey and provides the ability to create sanctuary anywhere. I am able practice whenever I please- at home or while traveling. When I do need extra attention, I am able to practice in the studio for personalized assistance and coaching.
I have now been practicing for 5 years. I have achieved things I never thought possible: correct form, strength, and the flexibility I always desired. At 57, I am in the best shape of my life both physically and mentally thanks to Adamantine®.

My love for Adamantine® began well before the engagement. In fact, it appeared as a desire to have what someone else possessed. I hadn’t seen my friend in many years until we crossed paths and re-connected. Peace, light, boundless energy, curated speech, (not to mention the chiseled muscles of her shoulders) were a few of the changes I noticed about her. Listening to her story is what propelled me to contact James Miller that very same day.
What I didn’t know at the time but would soon discover, my new relationship with Adamantine® would reveal the need for deeper connection with someone else; someone I had avoided for 50 years . . . myself. For 10 years now, I practice yoga as a means to keep my whole self as close to balance as possible. The benefits that come with mindfulness, the intentional breathing, coordination, strength and flexibility all help me manage whatever life brings. Adamantine®️ Yoga isn’t just “ going to a daily class” it’s SO much more! The self guided aspect of this practice is very addicting because it allows you to really dive deep and see what you are capable of physically and mentally. I’ve been practicing for 8 years now and my daily life has been impacted for the better ever since. James Miller , founder , is so incredibly knowledgeable of this style and really helps you find your way in this yoga journey and is always there for support and guidance and I don’t know many , if any, someone so dedicated to helping others grow . I’ve been part of the Adamantine Yoga®️community for nearly 10 years. It’s an amazing, supportive group of practitioners and James Miller meets each of us exactly where we are. From there, he helps us advance as we’re ready. I practice early in the morning, and afterwards I’m ready for the day - energized, more confident and stronger. My days can sometimes be busy, but after my practice I navigate them with a much healthier state of mind. I often feel a sense of peace in the midst of otherwise chaos, which is important because I want to be present for the important people in my life. I feel it in unhurried conversations, when I play the piano a little more gracefully and I look forward to feeling it when my first grandchild arrives this summer. The practice is challenging, and over the years I continue to learn and grow. While I’m proud of all I’ve accomplished thus far on the mat, I’m even more grateful for who I continue to become off the mat as I strive to move closer to the best expression of me.

Shortly after my 53rd birthday, I walked into the Adamantine® studio and met James Miller for the first time. I had no idea how much the quality of my life would improve in the months and years to come. I had little experience with yoga and my initial goal was to become more physically fit.
Practicing Adamantine® Yoga has not only strengthened my physical body, but it has also deeply improved my mental health. I am calmer and more present in my daily life because I begin my days with Adamantine® yoga. Every day, I am grateful to be alive and for all the little things my body can do to enable me to experience this life most fully, such as get down on the floor and play with my grandchildren!
Adamantine® Yoga is so simple, yet so comprehensive. Persons of any ability, from novice to advanced, will find a level of the practice to fit their goals. James Miller is not like any teacher/instructor I have ever had because he truly meets students where they are at, cares for them deeply, and works beside them to accomplish their individual goals. James has created an incredible community where we celebrate each other's accomplishments and support each other through struggles. Starting my day with an Adamantine®️ Yoga practice prepares me for anything that might come up throughout the day. It is the first thing I do in the morning. I am usually finished before 7am, and I already feel accomplished and ready to conquer whatever challenges are ahead. The practice is not easy, but the difference between when I start and when I finish is amazing. I am energized, awake, and calm all before having a cup of coffee. Never did I ever imagine I would be working on doing a handstand. Adamantine Yoga’s technique is designed to do a few things: accept what your body can achieve now; realize where that is is not the limit of what’s possible; simple & repeatable structure to keep you consistently practicing so your body can find its way to progress.
I want to take care of myself. And…I hate to sweat, I’m not athletic, and flexibility is not my super power. Despite all that, I’ve been doing Adamantine Yoga remotely and regularly since 2020.
I’m definitely stronger. Flexibility is still a work in progress, but it’s coming along. And I’m able to learn the next step toward the full expression of a pose without feeling I’m behind the curve.

James is tremendously talented. He is charismatic, very organized, and extraordinary in his ability to inspire people to dedicate themselves to Yoga.
His approach to the practice of yoga was and is undoubted a labor of love and that love does come through in his delivery.
He insight into technique makes for clear and concise direction for a practitioner. His methodology provides each practitioner to clearly see if they are making progress.
It’s power lay in the fact that it is technically sound and wonderful simple without being easy. The challenge always gives you space tog row and discover new possibilities.
James often gives coaching on a deeper level that is priceless for entering into new stages of your life or if your trying to make some real progress and have felt that feeling of being stuck.
I have known James closely and like some things in life people are moved apart, but I can tell you even though I am not in James studio everyday I can see his himself is constantly improving and searching for personal growth and the growth of those he serves.
Love is the fuel that drives this type of work and James love for helping people is obvious from your first meeting.

I've been at Adamantine for about a year and it has made a huge difference in my life, both physically and mentally. The studio is comfortable and no frills, which I appreciate. The atmosphere James and Ann have created allow practitioners to focus on their practice without distraction or judgement. The individual attention I receive from teachers has helped me to advance my practice and do things I never thought I could do.
