If and when a manager is there they don’t require masks even tho there is a clear sign on the door saying masks have been required indoors since Sept 2020 with Covid.
Equipment rarely get fixed and if they do it takes months or just gets taken away.
It’s relatively quiet and clean but there are known to be a few prowlers that come just to watch and follow people working out with zero consequences.

I joined Anytime fitness in 2014 when I first moved to Ames. I left for a couple years due to having a free membership at the competitors gym. I came back a year or so and nothing has really changed, it’s fairly clean but the bathrooms could be cleaned more often. I stay for the 24 hour option. I pretty much only use the treadmill at Anytime Fitness South. I run outside a majority of the time but it’s nice to have a membership somewhere calm and where you can come anytime when the weather’s not cooperating.

3 treadmills out of 4 have dents (or something bumpy) on the belt, it’s really noticeable and annoying when even just walking. The treadmill farthest to the right facing the window is the only “good” one. I have messaged them through Facebook and have been told it will be getting looked in to but nothing has been fixed. The membership is cheap, I pay about $34 dollars a month. However, once a year they charge an additional fee close to the monthly fee for “maintenance”. I hope this fee that they charge goes to help fix the belt on the treadmills so that I can use the one thing I go to this gym for.

I work out regularly here, for what I pay and for what I use here it's perfectly fine. I also like the ability to access the club on my own schedule. However, things that break seem to take a long time to get fixed. Otherwise I would grade the place higher.

The equipment as far as treadmills ellipticals and the like are old they have a very limited number and type of weight machines it's a small facility and it is just out of date. It's the first anytime fitness I've ever been disappointed in.

I have a good time at the gym, equipment is in good condition I appreciate for the most part we are all grown ups and dont have to have an attendant present to work out and tan, some of the other members seem to pester so I find myself trying to go at odd hours to avoid him. I am dissapointed in the pool at the hotel tho I never get to use it its very small and there always seem to be people in there with alot of kids making it impossible to enjoy

Nice facility. Equipment in good condition. I would like an actual water fountain instead of just using the sink though. More weights and benches would be nice. I do appreciate that they have wifi there so I can stream Pandora on my iPod
