Would not recommend this gym as of Nov. 1st 2025. The community was great and so were the trainers. But current management has ruined it and do not care about members. 10/10 would NOT RECOMMEND

I would not recommend this gym. The trainers and members were what made this a safe and supportive space for women. In recent months that has changed entirely. I would encourage women to look elsewhere.

Do not join BLUSH under current management. This is not the same gym as 3 months prior. The trainers have left and the morale is not the same. Lack of communication. Just out to take your money.

The former trainers made Blush a 5 star establishment. After 3 years, I cancelled my membership and am taking my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.

Although my previous experience with this gym was wonderful and I was thankful for amazing trainers in the past, this is no longer a gym I would recommend to anyone as of November 1, 2025.

Original 2024 Review: Hailey is the best!
2025 Update: Hailey was about the only thing that worked for Blush. This company is so poorly run. They let Hailey go without a word and now they've let another manager go without a word. They are not up front on their contracts and length of commitment. Baby sitting continuously gets canceled, when that is the biggest piece for mothers. And Blush definitely does not care about the women at the end of the day - they just care about the money.
I could not recommend this more: STAY AWAY FROM BLUSH BOOTCAMP

I saw an advertisement for Blush on Facebook offering a free 8 week program for women over 50. I made an appointment. When I arrived I was told I had to pay money upfront and once I finished the program the money would be refunded.
I felt upset because I skipped my workout at the YMCA, drove from Des Moines to Ankeny for my 9 am meeting at Blush and was there for 2 minutes before I walked out. But first I expressed that they should be honest upfront about their "free" 8 week class.
Honesty is the best policy! I don't appreciate bait and switch scams.

I have been with Blush since August. Though I don’t make it to work out everyday (my own fault) . I do enjoy the atmosphere and the trainers. I will name a few , but all the trainers have a great impact on my workouts and progress. Hailey is a fantastic coach, her enthusiasm in the morning is amazing. Mac is great with her coaching and I enjoy her upbeat attitude. Cheri is great coach a coach and fun to be around all the time. These and all the other coaches are very knowledgeable, and I feel very comfortable and confident in all of their abilities. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I joined Blush a year ago and this has been the most beneficial and influential gym I have ever been a part of. It is truly a community of women working together to live a healthier life. I am so appreciative of the benefits such as balance meetings and babysitting to help a busy mom like myself reach my goals. The trainers I usually see, Hailey, Mackenzie and Jillian are all so motivational and supportive. I am grateful to be a Blushie!

Posting for my wife as she refuses to work with them due to the nature of their emails. Read reviews before signing a contract! Check the Better Business Bureau reviews of all of their locations and you'll stay far away from this place. As many say, the local gym trainers and employees are AMAZING! Unfortunately, billing and contracts all go through their corporate office who do everything they can to take advantage of you. I wish I would have read reviews from the BBB before signing up. Nearly every negative review is the company not honoring the contract and doing everything they can to take advantage of customers. I loved the sessions and trainers but when I attempted to cancel my contract (fully expecting and willing to pay the early termination fee) they never provided an amount for the early termination fee. Without a fee to pay, I couldn't pay the early termination fee so they decided to continue charging the full monthly rate for the remainder of the contract without permission, claiming I never canceled. A year later, I'm still offering to pay the early termination but they are saying the full monthly charges are due. A trainer said corporate will typically ask "at least a few times" to make you want to cancel because they don't want you to give up the introductory rates, so if you go to cancel be prepared to have to confirm multiple times or they will fraudulently keep charging your card. During our email exchanges, they've been extremely unprofessional and attempting to tell me my ONLY course of action is to pay the full amount their asking, making it feel like I have no other legal options available. Scare tactics should not be tolerated, especially for a company that caters to women. They are also now reinstating the membership to attempt to charge my card for the monthly membership and childcare (I don't go to their gym and don't use their childcare) to try to run up additional charges to force me to pay the disputed amount. It's unfortunate that the reputation the trainers have built for the gym is ruined by the shady, unlawful practices of their corporate office. Find another gym before considering Blush.

I love working out here! I did the six week trial and decided to continue after because I enjoyed it so much! I'm pretty clumsy, have never lifted weights before this, and would not have previously described myself as athletic, but the trainers are all really good at making sure your form is correct and that you are lifting weights safely, which lets me work out confidently. The workouts are always interesting and I really love the positive and supportive vibe!

If i could give a -10 star review I would. I canceled my membership with in the three day window, per their cancelation policy i should receive a refund for money paid as well as no further charges. More than a month later i have received no refund and have continue to be charged. Staff says there isnt anything more they can do for me even though they acknowledge that i have done everything required to cancel per their cancelation policy.

I joined Blush a month ago and I am LOVING IT! I was nervous at first because this is my first experience with group fitness, but I found out that there was no reason to be nervous! Everyone (trainers and fellow BLUSHies) has been so welcoming, encouraging, and nice. Even though it’s a group class, you still get some one on one time like you would with a personal trainer. If you are thinking about joining the Blush Community… DO IT

If it wasn’t for blush, I would have never started my fitness journey. Hailey is the absolute best! I will hear “time is moving so are you!” In my dreams forever lol
I got the support I needed, never felt judge, going in as a minority that was scary but not once did I ever not feel welcomed ❤️ I had to say goodbye to blush because I moved but I would have never left otherwise. I want to thank blush for everything, and Hailey, ma’am you deserve a raise! 😂❤️
I will definitely be going back when I visit family in town. 10/5 stars!

Love that this gym is all girls. Love the community aspect whether that’s connections with of small businesses or meeting out for dinner. Love the positive from all the staff and members. Love that I can drop my kids off in childcare. My only eh would be the Tv in the children’s room always being on. But either way 5 stars!

I worked out at Blush as part of a 6-week challenge, where I paid $ upfront and would get it back after 6 weeks if I either lost 20 lbs or 5% body fat. Another requirement was attending at least 3 classes a week. Blush makes you reserve classes at least 12 hours ahead of time and will charge you if you don't show up or cancel within 12 hours before.
First the good: Hailey is a great trainer!! I loved her energy and all the Blush ladies I worked out with were so positive and nice. The workouts were very challenging for me as a newly postpartum mom, but Hailey always demonstrated movements and modifications so everyone could be included.
Now the not so good: the office management/communication was pretty bad throughout my entire experience. Every time I was in the office it felt like a waste of my time. The challenge was not explained well for me. I was told that I could do a body scan at the beginning, middle, and end of the challenge, but when I asked later about doing one in the middle, they said they'd have to charge me extra for it.
On my last week of the challenge I woke up with a bad case of pink eye and immediately canceled my morning class reservation and texted the office letting them know I wasn't coming in because I didn't want to infect others. Since I cancelled late they still charged me a full class rate. I asked if that could be refunded since I was sick, and they said to email the info email address. I did twice, and never received a response either time.
At the end of my challenge I did my last body scan and they said they'd reach out to me to talk next steps, but no one ever did. One week later someone from the office texted me saying "they miss me" and wanted to know if I would like to set up a time to chat about becoming a member. I explained that I was still waiting for responses back about a refund and my challenge results, and they apologized, but still didn't offer to help. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed and frustrated with the business side of Blush and really hope that others haven't had the experience that I had.

I love Blush!! As you can see from the pictures there’s a wide variety of workouts that they help guide you with, choose modifications for you. They work with you 1.1 even during a group setting if you need the extra guidance to help you improve! They set you up for success to being the best you! They cheer you on during the workouts, take photos for you to see your progress which I love!! The management is always eager to help with questions or concerns, babysitters to watch your kiddos so you can enjoy your workout without worrying about childcare. Then blushies themselves is such a supportive group of women who respect each other and make you feel welcomed!!

Blush Boot Camp is a fantastic place for women who want to work out in a supportive and encouraging environment. The all-female atmosphere is one of the highlights of the gym, as it allows women to feel comfortable and confident as they work on their fitness goals.
The staff at Blush Boot Camp are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to assisting newcomers who are unfamiliar with the various exercises and equipment. They're always willing to redirect and guide you in the right direction.
One of the unique aspects of Blush Boot Camp is their 21-day free program, which is a great incentive to keep you motivated to work out consistently. The program encourages you to complete at least ten workouts within the 21-day period, and if you don't, they will charge you $100. This added motivation can be very effective for some people, and it's a great way to stay accountable.
Blush Boot Camp's flexible membership plans are another standout feature. The option to try the program for a month with no commitment is perfect for those who are not sure if they want to commit to a long-term gym membership. This way, you can test out the program, and if you love it, you can sign up for a longer-term membership without any pressure.
Overall, if you're looking for a welcoming and fun place to work out with supportive women and motivating programs, Blush Boot Camp is the perfect choice. I highly recommend it!

I would give zero stars if possible.
This is a warning to anybody contemplating a membership to this place. Before it even opened I was approached about joining. I was told it was a group fitness class. I was told I had 30 days to cancel my membership.
The opening was pushed back from the original date and it coincided with me opening my own new business so I was going to wait a couple of weeks before beginning.
I started to see Facebook posts from the workouts and realized it was a cross fit type of fitness which I don’t care for.
I called and requested to cancel my membership. I was told I had to attend 12 sessions before I could cancel. I had paid the membership fee and first months fee. I was willing to just write that off. I just didn’t want them to be able to keep charging me. They refused to stop unless I came in the 12 times. There were literally 15 days left of my “30 days”.
I contacted my bank who stopped payment on future charges. I received a call the following month saying I needed to give them a new credit card number as the old one wasn’t working. I reiterated the above and told them to cancel my membership.
I received a call from a collection agency trying to collect $1200 from me. I have never stepped foot in the place, did not pick up the freebies I was promised, and they kept the membership fee and first months fee. Disgusting.
I’ve contacted a lawyer and will be suing them.

Goin on session #33 and I’ll never go back to a “regular” gym. Trainers care about our longevity, safety and comfort. Workouts change daily. I love that I can just show up to my class and it’s all planned out. When I’m doing something wrong the trainers are sure to correct me so I’m using the right muscles and not straining the wrong ones.
