I love how there is a major focus on form and building confidence in the kids. The class is well structured and while safety is a priority, the kids still have fun. We have 2 kids training with D1. I have been very impressed with the program. The instructors are fantastic. They hold the kids accountable and have been pushing them to develop an athletic foundation that will enable them to excel in any sport they choose going forward. We wanted them to have a great core group of speed, strength and flexibility and this program is giving them exactly that. I would highly recommend.

We are new to D1, and enrolled our 11th grader in the APEX Speed Class! His goal is to run XC/Track in college, and so with that we were looking for specific and specialized training to add to his season and post training. Within a few sessions, D1 had already made an incredible impact on him through knowledge and the tailored training that he grew more confident in, and results showed weekly when he would train with his XC team.
The D1 team then supported him with introducing him nutrition coaching. He has met with Kolton weekly and our sonβs mindset with nutrition did a complete overhaul. He weekly shops and meal preps all of his meals now, and is passionate about learning more.
It is so incredible to watch his dedication, all because of the support we have found at D1. We are looking forward to starting with D1βs Therapy + Recovery during his upcoming HS season!

I am a junior in high school, I run cross country and track. This is my first time at D1, Iβm taking the Speed Class with coach Karter, and working weekly with Kolten in Nutrition. My kids LOVE D1. The variety of classes and camps keeps them engaged and the wide range of class times help us work it into our already busy schedule. My daughter is getting bigger, faster and stronger while my son is is gaining coordination and motivation in such a cool environment. The instructors hold the kids accountable yet encourage fun by working to get better. It all started with 1 camp which led to a monthly membership. We are already thinking through how to make it work with spring sports. Give it a try, you wonβt be disappointed!!!

Thought I'd update my below review (from a year ago)...the same high rating still applies!
We have some new members and coaches and I still enjoy the workouts (as much as one can enjoy working out at 5am ;) ). The staff and members are friendly and welcoming. The workout are hard (that's why we are there, right?!).
My daughter (13) has attended several of the workouts for her age group after school and really likes those too. She had never done a workout program (outside of her sports). She definitely seems stronger after doing those classes (her coaches agree!).
I think what makes D1 especially stand out is the quality and quantity of their equipment and the size of the facility. We have plenty of space and weights. Some places I have tried in the past lacked both of those, so I love this about D1.

Three friends and I spent the last six weeks trying I think 9 different gyms in the area. We ended up choosing D1 for many reasons including quality of workouts, price, size of facility, equipment (quantity and quality), friendliness of other members, communication with manager, and professional/knowledgeable trainers. I take my 13 yr old and really like the flexibility with scheduling and use of the app. Super easy to schedule and work with my schedule. As far as workouts I like the variety between doing agility work along with learning how to lift weights. He really enjoys the classes and I would recommend to others with kids in his age range.

D1 has become a family affair for us as all 3 of our boys (13, 10 & 7) attend workouts and so do my wife and I. The boys absolutely love their workouts and the trainers. We love that they are getting proper coaching and instruction to help them with their fitness today and in the future. My wife has been coming for a couple of years and loves her workouts, the trainers and members! I've joined most recently and love it so far. Yes I've been extremely sore, but that is to be expected (especially based on how long it has been since I consistently worked out). The trainers have been great- very encouraging and helpful. I first contacted D1 at SportsPlex West inquiring on specific quarterback training for my 12yr old son. I had a conversation with Karter Schult about exactly what I was looking for in regards to techniques, skills, motivation and my expectations. Without any pressure he invited me to try out one session with his QB coach on staff. After going to the first training session and seeing the high level elite facilities and meeting with Karter and coaches, I knew this was the place for my son to develop his skills. He clicked with the coach immediately and the hour practices are quickly showing amazing results.
I would also like to say that while my son was practicing I watched the Jr High and High school baseball players training. I was wildly impressed with the baseball side of the facility. The skill I saw was impressive and the list of D1 college baseball players from D1 Training underlines the programs success.

All the trainers are great and really push you more than you would push yourself on your own. And while theyβre tough, they still joke around and make sure you have a positive workout experience! I have learned so many great workouts. D1 pushes you physically and mentally but the trainers are great at communicating and wonβt take it too far. The workouts target specific muscle groups each day and within weeks Iβve seen progress.

Love it. I've been doing the same type of exercise for the last 4 years and decided I needed a change. It was nerve racking to join a gym you dont know and a new type of work out. From the first email to my most recent class, everyone has been so kind and welcoming. I love that we move non stop for an hour and the coaches give you all their attention and guidance. My son, Brock, has been through 8 sessions of the 'Rookie' training class and absolutely loves it. As a 7 year old, he is one of the youngest, slowest, least coordinated kids in class. The instructors are great, though, coaching him without constantly singling him out and making him feel self-conscious. As a parent, I love this class. I wish I had something like this when I was his age!

I was referred to this gym by one of the trainers because of its functional fitness style of workout. Instead of just going into a weight room and lifting for an hour, you are pushed by high heart rate workouts that has strength training put in. What a place! The workouts hurt (in a good way, hence the 4 stars), it feels great when itβs over and each day I feel stronger. After 20 workouts, there hasnβt been a repeat workout yet, which keeps it exciting. The instructors help with form and encourage everyone to work hard and keep going. Hands down the best gym space around. Large open artificial turf area to do any number of activities. We can get together and play spikeball, as well as I come for the open gym time where Iβm free to lift and exercise as I want. The manager (Russ) works extremely hard to create a welcoming atmosphere as well as creating workouts that are very challenging. Highly recommend

I signed my 10 year old son up for rookie classes and he is really enjoying them. The workouts are good and challenging. I can notice my son is getting faster and stronger already. The turf area of the facility is really nice, the weight room is a little small and crammed for my taste but you could definitely get the job done in it. I didn't give a 5 star because we signed up online, went in for the 1st class and there wasn't any like hey welcome, here is our facility these are our trainers and their names and or backgrounds. Do you have any questions? Do you have any specific goals for your child etc? He just went in to his first class as if we had been going there 5 years. I went up and introduced myself to a couple trainers afterward but there still wasn't anything like we are so glad to have your son in our class or anything of that nature. But overall it seems to be a great training place after 3 weeks and I feel like $50 a month for this type of cutting edge training for my son is a pretty good deal. I've been telling other kids' dads that my son plays sports with about it.

Our daughter has really enjoyed the Developmental program at D1. We originally looked at the program as a way to keep her active during her off season. However, after seeing the amount of strength and agility she is gaining, we have decided to make this an overall part of her sports programs. In addition she stuggled with knee and back issues that have greatly dimonshed as she has strengthened and is now correctly utilizing her core and quad muscles.

I have been a faithful gym go-er for over the last 3 years at a different gym and had decided that I needed to shake things up with my fitness when I had not been seeing results for the last 6 months and I felt like I was spinning a wheel and getting no where. I got ahold of Russ and he welcomed not only my husband and myself, but the other friends I worked out with daily. We have all since become members at D1 and I couldn't be any happier. The strength I have gained is surprising, the scale has moved in the correct direction for the first time in 6 months, and I actually feel like I worked out hard everyday.
