First off I want to thank the staff at elite edge for giving me the energy and encouragement to complete my 6 week challenge! Every single day every one of their staff members was happy to help with any questions I had. I was able to lose 22 pounds throughout the 6 weeks. The gym has a phenomenal vibe to it and everyone there is extremely nice and rooting for you with whatever your workout goals are. Their workouts are quick and to the point and there wasn’t a single day that I left unsatisfied with the days workout. I would 100% recommend this gym to anyone that is considering it.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Elite Edge. When the Grimes location abruptly closed, other families were able to have their payments stopped due to the relocation. In my case, however, I was required to pay the full amount upfront when signing up for classes and before knowing the business would even have the potential to close. They only offered a future credit to an unknown location in the Grimes/Johnston area with no date or site confirmed.

We could not attend at the alternate location because it was nearly double the driving distance one way and completely unworkable with our family’s schedules. We only chose Grimes location in the first place because of the location and because it worked best for our schedule and needs.

There was never a consideration even for a partial reimbursement financially. I paid for services that were never provided, and feel it is unacceptable to treat families this way especially when you allow it for some families. I hope this review prevents others from going through the same frustration and lack of accountability from Eric.

I just finished the 515 challenge and lost 15lbs. I did it! I had fun each day challenging myself. I want to thank my trainers! Everyone is very supportive and friendly. This was the hardest challenge i have done before. I really had to dig deep and find a whole new gear but I'm so glad i did. The first week was hard physically and mentally but as it went on I became stronger. I sleep better and eat healthier. I had my husband there supporting me all the way! I would definitely recommend Elite Edge to anyone trying to lose weight.

Right before this challenge i was at close to the heaviest I have ever been and then I underwent major jaw surgery and had to quit the gym for 10 weeks. When I was finally able to work out again it coincided with a brand new challenge and I knew exactly what I had to do. A little over a year ago I did my first challenge with elite edge and was able to lose more weight than anything ever before it. This time was no different. The incredible coaches helped get me back on track and into shape. I was able to lose 23 pounds in 5 weeks. I finally feel back in control of myself again. I plan to continue with the gym.

I returned to EE after a 6 year hiatus. I'm certain it's the wisest decision of the year! To kickstart my goals I opted to take on the 6 week Challenge. I was on that borderline of weight to take or not to take the challenge due to the difficulty to drop 20 in that time frame. I dedicated myself to 6 workouts a week and maintained nutrition. Just shy of 24 lbs down with a drop of just over 6% body fat. I'm extremely excited about those stats as I approach 50. The coaches have always been and are still so knowledgeable. They all have great ideas with modifications for my multiple issues from injuries... Torn shoulder, mutilated meniscus, spinal injuries and more. Not only will they help modify or adjust form but they are always willing to spot on a heavier lift. Members are fun to meet and interact with. Single folk, married couples, families, young adults to even 70 plus year olds. The music is always appropriate for the type of workout for the day which is always different and challenging.
I feel healthier, stronger, and very blessed to be back with Elite Edge.

Elite Edge is a great place to obtain your fitness goals!
I just completed my 6-week challenge. I am very pleased with my results and lost a little more than 20 pounds. Working out 5 or 6 times a week early in the morning and following the strict diet was an adjustment, but the staff and other members made the process of reaching my goals attainable. The trainers are extremely helpful and provide many tips and tricks to make the process easier. The gym has a great atmosphere and I always felt pumped up before, during, and after a workout.
If I had to give an example of a setback, the only obstacle I experienced were just MINIMAL – technical difficulties getting added to the Facebook group page and receiving the initial email that contained the challenge ‘bible’. These were handled and taken care of within a few days. Other than that, it was a great experience!
In the end, I had a fitness goal to reach and was able to obtain that from Elite Edge with the help of the awesome trainers and other members. If I can do it, you can too!

Lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks! Coaches were great and workouts/nutrition plan were simple to follow. They were all super friendly and even allowed me to have a "plus one" at weekend workouts when my boyfriend was in town. Others bring their kids as well. Would definitely recommend!

Saturday morning I had my final weigh in for Elite Edge’s 6 week 20 lbs challenge. I’m so happy to say that I completed the challenge and lost 20.5 lbs! This was the push I needed to change my trajectory. Showing up to Elite Edge 5 days a week for 6 weeks has transformed me physically and mentally. The trainers at this gym are so knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging. I always left feeling so much better than when I walked in, even on insane cardio days. The members are helpful and welcoming. This is such a beautiful community that I’m so glad I got to be apart of. It truly was a challenge. I had to completely alter my routine to fit in my workouts and meal prepping. I had to say no to a lot of things. Go to bed early and wake up earlier. I would’ve never done such things prior but this experience has changed me so much that I can’t see life without such routine. My physical health (diet and exercise) is now a baseline hygiene like brushing my teeth and showering. I don’t always want to do it, but it needs to be done and no one else going to do it for me! The only thing getting in my way was me. Thank you Elite Edge for the tools to build a new me.

Recently completed my 6 week challenge. I lost 28.5 lbs!

When I first signed up, I was nervous and scared to fail. It was intimidating!

On my first day, everyone was so welcoming. They were happy to give me tips and tricks on how to make the process more enjoyable.

It was hard to get back into shape again (the first day was killer!) but it was worth it. I feel better than I’ve felt in a long time. If you follow the program, you are guaranteed success!

Completed my 6 week challenge on 06/07/2024

Overall: Great place to challenge yourself and lose the weight. The program is VERY strict so be mindful of that going into it. If you are someone that wants to find ways around a restrictive diet (no sugars or alcohol, limited protein options and limited carb options) then this probably isn't for you. Otherwise FOLLOW THE DAMN INSTRUCTIONS (#FTDI). I highly recommend this program to anyone. I have done others similar to this (maybe something that starts with F and rhymes Darrell....) and I came out of this feeling much stronger, looking WAY better, and more. The instructors are amazing and there are just a few so they will get to know you much more than other places. They are there for you to succeed.

The Elite Edge Transformation Center has officially transformed my life. I have just completed their 6 week 20 lbs challenge and let me tell you it was well worth it. The challenging workouts, helpful staff, and strict diet has helped me lose just over 30 lbs! I just completed my six week challenge and I am so happy with the results. I completed challenges in 2018 and have been wanting to come back since. Well I finally made it and I am so glad I did. The coaches were great and other members were amazing too! The weight loss combined with the strength and confidence you gain is so gratifying. This time around was a little different for me because it was after having kids. I had a completely different mindset and even when it got hard I just reminded myself that I have two young kids and I can do anything I put my mind to. For that reason it seemed easier but I think I am more impressed with my results this time around. Everything felt more natural than the first time around and I was able to get into a routine pretty easily too. I am excited to roll into a membership and continue my health journey. 14 months ago, I discovered Elite Edge after doing a Google search of “best gyms in Des Moines,” and I have to say, joining this gym is one of the best decisions I’ve made. Prior to this, I had never done group fitness before, but it has motivated me to come to the gym consistently, and I love that each day is different. I’ve even made a couple of friends here (who would’ve thought people could be social at 5:00 in the morning?), which is another highlight.

The owner, Eric, does an awesome job motivating you to do your best and to challenge yourself, and he’s always there when you need him to show you (again) how to do an exercise. He’s so knowledgeable about body mechanics, and he explains the “why” behind proper form. He also gets to know you as a person and checks in with you every week. Not to mention, Eric starts his day with a 4AM class and puts in so many hours teaching additional classes in the evening and at the Grimes location. It’s obvious how much he cares about the culture of this gym and helping people with their fitness journey.

At this gym, you’re surrounded by people of varying ages and abilities, and you never feel intimidated to try things you would’ve thought were impossible. It feels like an individual workout but in a group setting. I’m certainly not an athlete, and I never saw myself engaging with strength training, but I’ve never looked back. Also, the other trainers: Zayren, Jordan, David, Ashley, and Ginger are awesome support too. I highly recommend Elite Edge because I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here.

If you are looking for a HIIT gym and have fairly good knowledge of TRX, kettlebells, free weights, HIIT exercises, this will be a decent gym. With some possible significant caveats.

If you are new to this type of training, beware: the quality of the trainer's attention varies widely. There are three excellent trainers there, but the owner tends to be distracted, and not nearly as attentive as he should be when it comes to new, inexperienced people. I noticed that if the person is struggling, the person is pretty much on their own when the owner was running the training(off in the corner, talking to other gym customers).

Also, they run what I deem a questionable promotion for people to lose weight. "Free 6 weeks training". What he doesn't tell you is that, if you don't lose 20 lbs in those 6 weeks, you don't get your $400 deposit back. Claims a "93% success rate", which I find highly suspicious, given you are doing free weight training which puts on muscle(muscle weight more than fat). And most medical personnel deem 20 lbs in 6 weeks to be a little risky. 1 to 2 lbs a week is recommended.

For the body transformation boot camp, he has a pretty good sales pitch in the beginning, but the follow-through doesn't seem to be there. Not always there for weekly weigh-ins, not really there for coaching. Not a lot of individual attention for the money.

I feel like I got MY personal money's worth for the 6 weeks that I was there, but I've been a gym rat for a few decades now, and I was familiar with most of the workouts. And I wasn't there to lose 20 lbs.

Another thing that I noticed is the horrible smell on the indoor/outdoor carpet used for some of the exercises. Doing Supermans with your face next to a surface that smells like a dirty gym sock isn't very pleasant, and I don't know if the carpet harbors bacteria or other bugs. I know I contributed a lot of sweat when I worked out there, so I'm sure the sum total is pretty huge. Regular steam cleaning would be warranted.

I did the 6 week challenge & lost 17lb!! This was incredible to do in such a short timeframe. I ended up signing up for a membership because I loved the classes so much!! If you are like me and think “I hate group classes or I am not in shape enough to do this” please do not knock it until you try it!! Even though it is in a group setting it’s very much your individual workouts and how hard you want to push yourself. The coaches are so awesome and push you to do your best. I would recommend anyone to at least give it a chance!!

I have done anything and everything to try to lose weight. I was recommended Elite Edge by a coworker. I’m glad I decided to try it out because it is one of the best things I’ve done in a while. I was part of the 6 week challenge to lose 20 pounds. I succeeded in doing that because the program offers you everything you need. I got the do’s and don’ts on what to eat. I followed those rules along with their workouts and the weight fell right off! One of the best parts about Elite Edge is their strength coaches. I had my fair share of days where motivation was low and they picked me right up! If there was workout I didn’t understand, Justin and Eric were right there to show me proper form and technique. I won’t lie, the workouts are tough, but each day you leave you feel stronger! I have noticed a great difference in my ability to perform the simplest workouts like push ups and sit ups. Elite Edge also offers supplements they custom make, so I was very excited to use those as well. The supplements came at a great price and have helped me make gains immensely! I recommend Elite Edge to anybody and EVERYBODY who wants to turn their health around (: !!!! 💪🏽

I went into this challenge very overweight, technically obese for my height. I was uncomfortable, having knee issues, and really just depressed. I was so nervous walking into the gym for my first day, I figured I will be bigger than the majority of the women and there would be no way I could keep up. Here I am 6 weeks later, 26.5 pounds lighter, and definitely happier and healthier! I cannot believe the things I have accomplished in these 6 weeks, the amount of things I can do that I couldn't do at the beginning is just crazy to me. I came to every workout, 5 days a week, 8 am. I ate exactly what was on our approved list and never strayed. The program works as long as you truly follow directions and you have to want it! If I could do this anyone can! My knee is bothering me less and less now getting some of the weight off! I feel great, I really do. This was all just the beginning for me, I will be continuing onto another 6 week challenge here in a week and I am going to try to push myself harder this time as I am sure it will be tough again. But the results make it worth it, so worth it. I seriously could not have done this without Eric and Chico! Thank you for having faith in me and altering anything I am unable to do. If you are concidering doing it, just go for it!! Nothing is going to change if you don't start now!

I just weighed out for my 2nd challenge with a loss of 26 pounds! I have lost 52.5 pounds throughout my 2 challenges (13 weeks time). I am so thankful for Elite and my coaches that I signed up for a membership to continue this healthy lifestyle. No quick fix, hard work and dedication! I can do so much more than before and wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for this gym! I exceeded the expectations I set for myself, honestly I never thought I'd get this far or continue to do so, but here I am! I am happy to say Elite has literally changed my life for the better and now I can't imagine going back! So here's to the next year and continued improvement!

I lost 26 pounds during my challenge and feel alot better! The program works if you follow the rules. It's definitely a lifestyle change and completely worth it. I am thankful I did this challenge and for all the coaches help! Elite is a great family to be a part of!

I lost a total of 50.5 pounds in the last 12 weeks! I have no more knee pain, I feel good, I am able to get around better and have so much more energy! I decided to join the gym as a member to continue my health journey! They give you the tools and make your goals possible! I am so thankful for my coaches and the time they took to help me get to where I needed to be. This truly is a lifestyle change and I can't imagine not going to work out anymore! Glad to be a part of the Elite Edge family!

I lost 21.4 pounds in 6 weeks. Clothing is fitting better, feeling better health wise. After having my last child 2 years ago I decided again I needed elite to get the weight off. I recently completed the Elite Edge 6 week challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Elite Edge. The workouts, are the best part, they are designed for both cardio and strength are great. I lost the required amount of weight and some extra i was hoping for!! I attended the 5 am class, initially it was difficult to get up and work out that early but eventually became part of the routine and enjoyable. I highly recommend Elite Edge. All of the trainers were incredibly encouraging and willing to help with any questions or problems you were facing. Their support and motivation during the work outs was great. if you are questioning whether or not to take the challenge, I encourage you to take the step and take the challenge. If you’re like me when walking into a gym and just don’t know where to start or don’t even know if you’re doing the workouts correctly, you will LOVE Elite Edge!!! It is a fun and great environment. I just finished my 6 week challenge for the second time. I have been able to lose the 20 pounds in those 5 weeks. Also HUGE SHOUT OUT to Ryan!!! He’s an amazing trainer. I just finished my 6 week challenge, here at Elite Edge. I am now down 27 pounds. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The atmosphere here is so amazing, it honestly feels like everyone is just one big family. Everyone is super nice and always there to listen if you have a question. I would recommend this gym for anyone that is wanting to make a change in their lives. I always thought that losing weight was so hard and impossible, coming from a bigger family and all, but this gym honestly made it fun. the wife encouraged me to participate in a 6 week 20lbs weight loss challenge with her here and i decided it was definitely time to lose some lbs.
the trainers here are more than capable of helping people make that goal with plenty of nutrition advice and awesome, highly motivated, workouts.
everyone has something that works for them but for me it's these group workout environments with people above, at, and below my own fitness level that really keep me motivated. it gives you something to strive for, something to try and stay ahead of and less excuses to not try hard if someone else is in there giving it their all regardless of their current fitness level. it's really easy to push yourself during the workouts when you have others around you that are trying to push themselves and fun energetic trainers guiding the group throughout and you definitely get that here.
another one of the best things (at least to me) about working out here is that if you can't do an exercise due to some injury/pains or even just not being ready for it yet, the trainers are always right there ready with some modification/alternate exercise that still allows you to work the same muscle groups safely
highly recommend giving this place a shot if you haven't yet

I just finished the 6 week challenge at Elite Edge and lost 23 pounds. I didn’t know what to expect going in. I’ve belonged to several gyms throughout the years and this place really hit the mark. With a name like Elite Edge, I went in with skepticism. Very few can add a word like Elite in their name and meet expectations. Only a few have really pulled it off: Best Buy. Great Clips. New Jersey. Lucky Charms. Now, Elite Edge can be added to that list. Their workout and food plan have resulted in a 23 pound loss, the equivalent of 30 cans of soda or a sledgehammer, according to Google.
Highlights: the trainers. There’s 2 and they know what they’re doing. They catch me when I’m not doing full squats and wag their fingers and tell me to go lower and even though I’ve been busted, I’ve learned that most of what I’ve done in the past hasn’t been using my full potential. They are knowledgeable and motivating and demonstrate everything.
The workouts: when signing up, I was told EE prides itself on no two workouts ever being the same. I would actually add that about 75% of every workout are exercises I’ve never done before, but that effectively burn me out. The format is unique. I never have left without being drenched in sweat. The owners owe me new car seats. That’s another story.
The ambience: if you’re looking for elevator music and walls painted eggshell white and purple, this isn’t the place for you. This is a gym, with upbeat music, equipment you’ve never heard of, heavy duty mats, and motivational sayings on the wall written in chalk. It’s the atmosphere I personally like. People are sweating, bleeding, and trying to hide around corners to skip the extra couple minutes of pain they make us go through at the end while laughing at us. It’s truly great.

I could go on and on but I recommend experiencing it for yourself.

6 years ago in college I cut the weight, built muscle, and was feeling good. After getting married and having a kid I felt with family time and other priorities that staying in good shape wasn’t something that would fit in my schedule anymore. I wanted to turn that around and saw Elite Edge Waukee as an excellent opportunity to do that. 6 weeks to lose 20 pounds sounded like a super sweet jump start to get back to my weight goals! Overall I lost roughly 23 pounds during my 6 week challenge. The biggest challenge for me was the nutrition, as it would be for most people, but it was good to remind myself that it’s only 6 weeks of strict dieting to get the results I want and then afterwards I can relax the rules a little to still enjoy food but having a better sense of what appropriate portion sizes and healthy foods are for me. It was also really fun to do some research and learn how to cook new foods that I haven’t cooked before or foods I have cooked before in different ways.

In terms of workouts, these are exactly what I was hoping for! I didn’t want to do Farrells because I knew full kickboxing workouts weren’t what interested me and I had always loved weightlifting. Elite Edge has the perfect blend of weightlifting where I built a ton of knowledge about different exercises and muscle workouts, while also having some exhilarating cardio and boxing days to keep things exciting. The format is roughly the same week to week but everyday the workouts are so different to always keep things challenging, keep you guessing, and keep you interested. Eric and Justin are fantastic trainers who know so much about how to properly workout and motivate people to be their best self.

Overall I would absolutely 100% recommend Elite Edge for anyone that has a desire to lose some fast weight and build some strong muscle! However, be warned - it’s definitely challenging and you will have a lot of mental battles, but keep pushing through and remember your goals!

Convenient Location, the gym in Waukee, Iowa on Alice’s Road and just down from Hickman Road. So accessible!!

Amazing Staff and Trainers, hard to beat the group they have here at Elite. Staff is always looking for a way to help answer any questions you have or offer suggestions to help you on your weight loss path. The trainers are knowledgeable when it comes to working out let alone doing each movement correctly and then offering various alternatives if you are sore or cannot do something. Even when there are many people working out it still feels like you get one on one coaching.

Equipment around the gym is everything you need to get a solos workout in. If your looking for row upon row of treadmills, ellipticals, or bikes, go to Lifetime. Elite Edge has the right mix of equipment for every thing you could need for a light or hard workout.

Every day has a different workout that mixes up strength days and cardio days. There are so many options for the classes that they make it hard to say there was no time that could not work for you. Shout out to the noon class.

I have been going every day for the last six weeks and been to various classes through the day and every class has one thing in common. It’s the community, every person is there to try their hardest and push themselves. If you don’t know where we are at in a cycle or have questions about a particular movement or rep everyone is ready to help, let alone the trainers are never far away.

I started the 6 week challenge on May 17th. I had a lot of crazy life circumstances happen between signing up and starting the challenge (as well as during the challenge), but I still showed up on day 1 and loved it. The noon class, as well as Eric, Justin, and Brandi were extremely supportive! You are definitely sore the first week, but by week 2 you are in the groove and you start to enjoy it. The classes are FUN! The diet may seem restrictive, but you can get creative with the multiple options for protein, carbs, and greens. I loved that I was able to use zero calorie seasonings and my food had flavor! I did not lose my 20lbs, but I did consistently lose a pound week as well as inches. I can fit into clothes that I haven't fit into in over four years! I feel healthier and so much stronger. My husband dominated the challenge and hit his 20lb goal goal! We were so happy with our experience that we joined Elite and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us there!

I just finished the 6-Week 7% Body Fat Challenge, I started out with 35.4% body fat and ended with 26.5% body fat for a total loss of 8.9% body fat!! I was unsure at first if there was a challenge I could do as I only weighed 132lbs, but I found out that they have a 7% body fat challenge. If you’re in the same boat as I was where you don’t have a lot of weight to lose but want to get back in shape and build muscle, I highly recommend doing the 7% body fat challenge, you won’t be disappointed! I am truly happy with my results and can’t wait to see where this fitness journey continues to take me! My first week was HARD!!! I’ve never been so sore in my life but by the time the second week came around the soreness had gone away, so don’t give up! It can be overwhelming and confusing at first not knowing what certain exercises are and it being fast paced but the coaches are great with demonstrating and answering questions so don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t understand something or aren’t sure on technique. You will eventually get the hang of things! The variety of workouts is nice as well so you’re never really doing the same thing and like I said before the coaches demonstrate how to do each exercise before you start working out. The coaches are great at pushing you during your workouts as well! The meal plan is very limited and does get old quick, but you just have to remember its only 6 weeks and it’s a major part in getting to your goal, so stick with it!! Overall, I am truly satisfied with my results and encourage anyone that wants to get back into shape to join Elite Edge, you won’t regret it! I had a blast during my 2 6 weeks challenge. I lost a total of 45 lb. The staff was amazing and supported me through the entire challenge with work out feedback and tweaks to my diet when I needed. The classes were fun and I worked out a sweat every day I showed up for class. I made some friends that we lost weight together. I also liked the flexibility of being able to work out in any of the franchises during the time. the music is awesome and the work out machines are top notch. Elite edge Waukee is a great gym. Fantastic group support. Everyone pushes each other. The trainers, Justin and Eric, are highly knowledgeable. They correct form, push you, but do so in a way that emits a feel they truly care about you. I have personally seen so many people then their fitness around from committing to this gym. The six week challenge is a great way to get involved and light a fire underneath you! It is a great for for middle aged overweight, young and fit, all the above. I’ve always struggled with trying to lose weight over the years and those off brand diets did not work. I needed some structure and accountability because I knew I couldn’t do it on my own. So I looked into Elite Edge and saw they were doing a 20 lbs 6 week challenge and loved how it came with an incentive to get my money back if I lost the weight so it was all up to me to make it happen. Wow let’s just say the diet was definitely a struggle but stick to it, it really does work. The support system I had from the trainers down to the other members made this journey fun and encouraging. I gained weight while on quarantine and was struggling to lose it. I tried several diets with no results. I needed some structure and accountability because I knew I couldn’t do it on my own. What a 6 week journey, this has been! I was ready! I made up my mind to start eating right and to make my health a priority. Not only to look good but to FEEL good. I started with the 6 week challenge. That’s when the fun began! The gym is very spacious and clean. Lots of equipment and a great selection of class times to fit any schedule. I was stuck in my weightloss journey and Elite Edge popped up on my Facebook page about a six week challenge so I decided to look into it and it was the best decision I have made. The trainers are awesome. They motivate you and if you miss a day they know. It’s like a second home. Every day the exercise is different which I love. I also had some struggles due to having a left hip labrum tear and in between my second and third week my right hip (which I already had fixed a few years ago) started giving me issues. The trainers were quick to adjust certain exercises so I could still get a great workout and not irritate the hips. I would highly recommend Elite Edge.

I would highly recommend looking into Elite Edge Transformation Center if you want to make a healthy life change. Even if you have worked out in the past or never at all the program helps to fit to your skill set. I decided to take the 6-week challenge to lose 20 pounds and it was the best decision I made in the last couple of years. Prior to starting a family, I was extremely active and healthy but over the past couple of years I allowed myself to slip back into an unhealthy lifestyle. This challenge was a great reset for me and allowed me to focus on my health again and experience the things I used to enjoy. I just finished the 6 week challenge and lost a little over 20 pounds. The first week was really hard, I hadn’t worked out in over a year and was really out of shape. By the end of the challenge I had to tighten up my tool belt at work and I moved up two notches on my regular belt. I am able to do sit-ups for the first time in years, I feel more comfortable going to the gym and I have had a more positive attitude at work and outside of work. Justin is such a great trainer and he really motivates everyone at the gym. The atmosphere is awesome too, there’s people will all types of skill level, and during my first week one of the experienced members paired up with me during one of my first cardio workouts to help me. The first week or two of going I was nervous every single time I walked into the gym, now I feel more comfortable going, and a lot of that has to do with the environment at the gym, it really is a no judgement zone unlike other gyms I’ve gone to. I hear some lunatics start at 4:00 a.m. When I rolled in, bleary eyed and coffee deprived at 6:00 a.m., that whole gym was primed like a precision machine and ready to rock.

Stretching/warm up starts like clockwork on the hour with no delay or BS. I am not at my friendliest at 6:00 a.m., but ALL trainers/staff took initiative to learn my name, greet me, and ALWAYS have a positive attitude. The workouts are high quality, varied, and all trainers are quick to help/respond to questions/give guidance. No one is mailing it in here. I like that. Special shout out to Justin Shepherd for his excellent attitude and always upbeat personality.

What really clinched it for me was the food guide. They've put together a super simple, super clear, and super easy to administer food plan. I wasn't counting calories, weighing stuff, or worrying incessantly about making the cut. You just follow the instructions, put in the time, and the scale does its part.

I started my 6 week challenges on September 7th 2019. Throughout the 6 weeks I faced a lot of obstacles including Medical ones. I worked with Justin and Eric for all of the workouts. About halfway through a medical problem severely limited what I could do. Both of these coaches helped me tailor the exercises to my circumstances.They also helped me focus on the Diet Plan which, while tough, is extremely effective. I completed my final weigh in on October 18th, and I lost a total of 30.9lbs. I feel better and have more confidence that when I started. I that I was going to die the first week but I am into the second week of the 6 week challenge and have already purchased a year membership. As required of my six week challenge I'm writing this review. But I feel like I would write a review even if it wasn't necessary. Just to let people know just how awesome this gym is. The trainers are honestly there for you every step of the way. They take the time to listen to you and get to know you outside of the gym! When it came to other trainers I've worked with, it kind of seemed like to me they would fake it til they made it. Nope, at Elite Edge they honestly care! They also have a really really big support group on Facebook if you need a little extra advice outside of the gym! There were times where I felt discouraged and honestly afraid to step on the scale but they work with you and help you find out where it is your struggling and give you tips to overcome it. The workouts are intense. Soooo intense! The first week of my challenge I wanted to cry after every session. Eventually the workouts became easier and the cravings seemed to go away all together. Is this gym as big as all the others? No. But I bet your gym never leaves you smiling even after cardio day. Elite Edge is honestly worth it. It is a perfect place to invest your money. Because it is an investment but so is your health. Try it out! You may fall in love with it just like I did.

A couple friends of mine recently completed the 6 week challenge with Elite Edge at the West Des Moines location. They talked about the workouts and the successful weight loss that they had achieved. After a little convincing and encouragement they got me to go ahead and take on the 6 week challenge at the Waukee location. To be honest I was really nervous. I did not know what to expect. Would I fit in, would I be too far behind ever one else physically? Could I keep up with the workout part of the challenge…? And could I survive the major change to my diet? My wife thought not, she thought I would die… lol. I was also worried about my back as I have suffered from some pretty constant issues after a car accident years ago. Well I just said this is now or never, so I joined. Walking into the gym I found a very welcoming group of trainers, fellow challengers, and regulars. They never made me feel unwelcome, instead they all encouraged me, motivated me, and helped me if I wasn’t doing something right. The trainers helped me by modifying some of the workouts to ensure I built up some strength and didn’t reinjure my back. There were times where they pumped me up, and times when they challenged me. The first two weeks about killed me, but after that I learned to thrive on the hard workouts, and really looked forward to going every morning at 6am. I cannot believe how much this has changed my life. I would even say this saved and extended my life and for that I’m forever thankful. I look at fitness completely different now and it will and forever be a part of my life. I encourage everyone strongly to get up, put down the bag of chips, and take on this challenge. You can do it. I know you can… I did… and I lost 26lbs in the process in just 6 weeks. DO IT NOW!!!

I just completed the 6 week 20 pound challenge and it was huge success. When I first weighed in I was measured at 192.2 pounds. Today on my weight out I am 169.7 pounds. I thought I was strong before but after 6 weeks of training I can honestly say I am so much stronger than I was before with way more muscle definition. Top Five Things to love about Elite Edge

1) Justin- throughout the program I had most of my workouts with him. He's energetic, friendly and pushes you to do your best.

2) Philip- I didn't have him as much as Justin but he was still a great trainer!

3) The music. I normally went to the 5am classes and every morning when I got there I felt like I was at the club but working out at the same time lol.

4) The workouts. Every week has the same layout but they keep the classes different every week and offer so many times there is really no reason why you can't make it to one.

5) The weigh-ins. Every week I looked forward to getting on the scale. I could feel and see changes in my body and the scale confirming that just made me push myself harder week after week.

I’m almost done with challenge #1. I can’t believe how far I’ve come in just four weeks.

Week one, I struggled getting out of bed, wanting to go to the gym, and man was I SORE. Here I am at week 4, talking about my next challenge, waking up everyday excited to go!

If you’re thinking about doing the challenge, stop thinking and just do it! Everyday is something new, the people are great and everyday is another chance to push yourself to be a better you.

I will say, the diet was HARD to get used to as a poor college kid who lived on McDonald’s and anything else cheap, fast, and remotely close to food. But after week one, it was easy.

All in all, I love my experience, look forward to tomorrow’s workouts, and HIGHLY recommend Elite Edge Waukee.

I just completed my 2nd 6 week challenge and lost a total of 22.2 lbs. It was 2 years ago that I completed my first 6 week challenge and lost 21.5 lbs at that time. I have learned and overcame many obstacles in this process including waking up early 5x per week, intense workouts, fasting, drinking more water, etc all while working full-time and having a family. I would recommend Elite Edge Transformation Center in Waukee to everyone I know. I did the 20lb challenge in 6 weeks. It was awesome. I personally only lost 19.9 lbs but I learned a lot. They taught me how to eat and help me out in every workout making sure I did it correctly. Also every workout is different so you are constantly challenging your body. If you are thinking about doing the 6 week challenge I encourage you to go for it. It will be life changing. You do have to fight hard the first 2 weeks but you can do it. During the busy classes there is typically two coaches that walk around during class to make sure you have the correct form. If you are unable to do a specific exercise there are always modifications. Every class is different, new and upbeat. The hour goes by so fast. Elite Edge - South Des Moines is wonderful! The staff truly ROCK (figuratively and literally)! I looked for months to find an affordable place where I could work to get into shape but, more importantly, would work with me and my limitations due to Multiple Sclerosis. After explaining the day's workout to everyone, that day's trainer takes a few minutes to talk with me , determine what I can or can't do, and adapts some of the workout elements to my abilities. Elite Edge.. I used to drive by the Waukee location and wonder what it was like. After stepping into this challenge and losing 35lbs in six weeks, the facts speak for themselves. Yes, you have to eat right. Yes, you have stay focused. Yes, you have to show up. However, the coaches are right there with you every step of the way. Nothing worth fighting for is ever easy. With the right mindset, atmosphere, coaching, and time, good things will happen. Don't wait to give this a go; I wish I would have done this years ago.

Second Six Week Challenge Completed... toward the beginning of April, I weighed in at 303.5 lbs.. The most I have ever weighed. I knew I wanted to do something about it; I just wasn't sure how to get motivated. After only 3 months, 62.5 lbs, I feel like a different person. I am so thankful for Elite Edge and their amazing coaches. I could not have achieved the same results without their commitment to coach and train. I cannot thank Elite Edge enough for this opportunity.

Third six week challenge completed... 33.5 lbs down... back at it. Never wanted to leave but life happened. Moved 80 miles away shortly after my second challenge. After a year away from this place, I missed it so much and had to get back into it. I have been having the best experience pushing myself to new levels. You might say what or why. Well I gained weight tried and tried to lose it. A very good friend who I've known forever joined elite edge in waukee. I saw her doing great and she asked if I wanted to do a buddy week. I figured in the last 2 years I'd tried everything pretty much and that didn't work what could it. So at the end of Oct I did buddy week. With my 1st week I discovered that the trainers and everyone were very helpful. We found ways for me to exercise things I could do. Then I did the challenge 6 weeks with workout and diet. I just completed my six week challenge at Elite Edge Waukee and I couldn’t be happier. I lost 26.3 lbs and feel significantly stronger. The workouts are intense, but very doable. The cardio workouts on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday were my favorite as you sweat like you have never sweat before, but you feel great afterwards. The diet is almost more challenging then the actual physical challenge itself. My coach Justin said the diet is tough as this is a mental challenge and a physical one. The six week challenge gives you results if you follow the instructions on what to eat and when to eat it. Every workout was different and all the coaches are great on motivating you to push yourself just a bit harder.
Elite Edge taught me discipline on eating, making time for exercise as well as how to be a better yet lighter me!

I completed my 6 week challenge Friday, October 26th. It was definitely worth it 100% as I knew I was plenty overweight and had some “scares” that thankfully all came back good. Overall, my In-Body Test are the true numbers I saw massive gains in. My body fat mass decreased by 26.2 lbs, my skeletal mass increased by 3.5 lbs, and I’m at 24.9% Body Fat which when I started I was at around 32%. Justin, Eric, and Phil did everything above and beyond and still are as I chose to become a member for a year. I just finished my 20 pound six week challenge with Elite Edge in Waukee. Lost 11 pounds in the first week and 28 pounds by the end of the 6 weeks. Overall had a great experience. Trainers and everyone in the classes were always very encouraging and made every class fun. I have been intrigued by this program after seeing several friends be successful at this gym and I wanted to give it a try for myself. I love that the workouts are different every single day. Generally, I am not comfortable in group gyms and joined the Waukee gym on trial for a week to experience. But my experience is very positive and coaches are very friendly with everyone. In regards to the program itself, alternating between strength and cardio every day work outs did the magic. In regards to the diet, I being vegetarian did not had any difficulties in following.

I was on the fence wether to do a second challenge, but I’m glad I did. Once again the trainers were great and gave me the motivation that I needed to push myself to be successful. I just completed the six week challenge at Elite Edge. I've been trying for a while to hit the reset button, let some air out of the spare tire I've been carrying around my middle. I was a little worried during day one, when I had a tough time completing the warm up routine, let alone the workout! But as the days turned to weeks, I did notice a change…a change in my ability to work out, my weight and my energy level. One of the things I really liked about the program is the flexibility of workout times. If I couldn’t make it before work, I could go over the lunch hour or after work. The trainers are excellent, knew when to give a little nudge, when to give encouragement, and when it was apparent I was giving it my all. At the end of the six weeks, I had lost 24 pounds. I just finished with the 6 week challenge and lost 25 pounds. This program changed my life for the better in so many ways. This program held me accountable, provided step by step instruction and had proven results. My sister in law had great results after a couple challenges and she was the motivation I needed to ask for more information. My husband and I completed the challenge together and I am so glad he was by my side doing the same workouts, eating the same food, providing the emotional support, but even if I did not have him there, the coaches and people you work out with are there to help with your questions and they want you to succeed! We both feel like we found the place we belong. And not only that, we had fun working out! Yes, I said FUN! Plus they have super early morning and late evening workouts so we could find time that each of us could go and still manage our family. If someone would have told me 7 weeks ago that I would start a workout/eating program, work out every day at 4 am and lose 25 pounds at the end of the program, I would have thought they had lost their marbles, but it happened! It is not easy, but it was SOOOO worth it! Let me tell you, I was not an active person before I started this program. I gained 30 to 35 pounds when I stopped smoking 5 years ago and I had tried so many diets that worked and some did not, but I just couldn't stick with it and I eventually gained all the weight back. I have never found a workout program in my adult life I could stick with. I knew I needed to find a program with both eating and work out, but I was just not finding the right program for me. I put my name and contact information into Elite's website on a Monday night, the next day I had 3 calls and 2 emails that I did not answer and a couple text messages that I finally answered. It wasn't that I didn't want to do this, but I just had a super busy day and did not make time for it. By doing this, it showed me they were that interested in getting me into the program, I knew I had to check the place out. My husband is very skeptical about everything and I buy something if someone makes a good marketing pitch...we are complete opposites. But after we sat through the information about the program, my husband was OK with signing up for the program and boy, am I glad he was! I feel better, I have more energy, less brain fog, I look better, I fit into my clothes and I am not bursting over and out of them. The main reason I did this challenge is to become healthy and in shape for my young kids. I can now keep up with them and want to go out and do things with them. I didn’t know exactly what to think when I signed up to do this because I’ve never done or been inclined to do a group workout. I primarily did the challenge for accountability on my diet but found myself enjoying the group work out especially the cardio days. The coaches are all encouraging and helpful. I felt like they cared about my doing the exercises properly so as to avoid unnecessary injury. The diet is not sustainable but very doable for six weeks. If someone is looking for a a jumpstart on their fitness and their diet in a friendly Environment, this would be an excellent choice!

After just having lost 60 lbs, I knew that I'd have to increase the intensity of my workouts and get strict with my diet to take off the next 20 - 30 lbs (my goal is to lose about 90 total). Elite Edge's 6 week, 20lb challenge provided workouts with the high intensity, variation and fun I was looking for, and the meal plan they outline for the challengers is probably the strictest plan out there (basically guarantees results)! If you are ready to put in the dedication and hard work for 6 weeks, you WILL absolutely see great results with this program!
The cherry on top...the staff. The ever-supportive and friendly Brandi signed me up. Eric continuously checked in with me and pushed me throughout the six weeks. Justin was there every morning to provide guidance, a fun environment and support.
I highly recommend this gym for newbies looking to get into fitness, overweight people looking to get a quick start on their fitness journey, and even athletes who are looking for their next challenge (I'd say about half the people in there are in great shape, but just going there to continue to push themselves)!

Such a fun environment and the workouts are always different and up beat! FTDI information was a huge help! Giving us a list of choices of what to eat made meal prepping easy. Just finished my 6 week challenge with success! I am down 37lbs! When I started the challenge I weighed in at 324lbs! I knew it was time for a change! Starting the program was overwhelming in the beginning but the coaches are extremely welcoming and willing to answer any questions you may have! It is the little things when you don’t feel comfortable in a situation- just saying hi and greeting you, helping you with movements you are unsure about and always checking in on how you are doing through the challenge- made it a place that you want to continue coming back to!! It has motivated me to continue on with my goals- continue to work out and eat healthy! My plan is to complete another successful challenge!
I would definitely recommend this program to any one!! It will challenge you but it is all worth the results that you will see in the end!

After Finishing my second 6 week challenge I can not be more happy with my results! I am down 59lbs after just 12 weeks!! It was not an easy 12 weeks but it has all been worth it!!

Elite has continued to motivate me to work harder and challenge myself. The gym did not fail to live up to my expectations and the work outs continue to push me. The nice thing about elite is every work out is different. I will say my favorite days are cardio!

I signed up for the 6 week 20 lb challenge, and I succeeded! I am impressed by this gym in many ways. One, the trainers know you by name from day one. Two, correct form is stressed throughout workouts to prevent injury. Three, trainers are motivating and encourage and challenge you throughout your workout. Four, they want you to succeed and lose weight and get stronger. Five, they provide or allow modification of exercises to prevent injury. I like that this is a workout place that you can get in and out of quickly without having to get there 30 minutes early to save a spot for a class. Six Week Challenge #2 (Jan 2018-March 2018): You guys- I just completed my second Six Week Challenge and it went by so stinkin' fast that I am sad it's over!!! Another six weeks and another 21 pounds down. And let me make it perfectly clear that NO weight was gained back in between the two challenges. In fact, by implementing all that I had learned about fitness and nutrition from the first challenge, I had lost more weight on my own before starting the second! But I was ready to really push myself and I knew the best way to do that was to head right back to Elite Edge and do another Six Week Challenge. Today, I have lost a total of 50 pounds between the two challenges and have gained so much strength! I can't wait for what lies ahead!
Once again the atmosphere and people I was surrounded by was my most favorite part. Justin, Jake, Eric, Sarah, (and Chico, even if only for a day ;) ) and all my 5 a.m. people are the real MVP's. Six Week Challenge #1 (May 2017- June 2017): Where do I even start!? This was such an AMAZING experience! At the time when I saw Elite Edge's Facebook advertisement I had been itching to get back into shape and I knew that If I didn't do this 6 Week Challenge I would seriously regret it. Also, having a 4 year old, 3 year old, and 9 month old baby at home I need the energy required(and then some) to keep up with all of them. That's where Elite Edge came in and exceeded all of my expectations. The structure of the challenge and the workouts were right up my alley. Every single week I felt stronger. The workout paired with the diet plan left me with more than enough energy(even while waking up at 4am to make the 5 am class)! The diet taught me that eating super clean is totally doable and so so worth it!
The atmosphere of this place was my absolute favorite part. The coaches are so motivating and positive. Eric, Chico, and Jake are encouraging while making sure you are challenging and pushing yourself. They want you to meet your goals just as much as you do yourself. After some time away, Elite remained consistent and full of support and motivation! To start, the trainers and coaches bring amazing energy and passion to every workout (I workout at 4am ). Besides a love for what they do, the trainers at elite really care and take time to get to know you personally. Don't we all love being greeted by name and receive high fives!? 4 days ago i finished the 6 week challenge.. If it wasn't for my friend who told me about it beginning of Jan I would not have known about it... with little convincing (which lasted for the ENTIRE dinner) i decided to pull the trigger and commit to a 6 week challenge and fit in clothes that have been collecting dust for 2.5yrs. I have to mention that I had two rotator cuff surgeries and threw my back on week two! I know i was OUT OF SHAPE!... The team at Elite Edge worked with my injuries and motivated me to lose weight. They modified all the workouts to meet my needs and get the same results... I was craving cookies all the time but Fish Oil helped reduce the cravings.... Thanks to Jake, Justin and Eric for the support and guidance through the past 6 weeks. No question that the FTDI program worked for me. Sarah, my trainer, took me under her wing as did all the staff at elite edge and although most days I felt like I had more to loose than anyone in the challenge, I was never made to feel that way. The worst part of the workouts for the first two weeks was just getting up and down, but the constant encouragement certainly got me off the couch to get there when I would have really rather just finished the Hallmark movie.
now I do pushups and sit ups and leg lifts WHILE watching the Hallmark channel.
If I was writing this on paper right now the whole page would be drenched from the water works happening right now!!!!!.

The workouts. I don’t know where to begin?? The encouragement the instructors provided during every class gave me with the motivation I needed to keep going. Even though I was doing this for me...I didn’t want to let them down so it pushed me harder. You don’t get that from your run of the mill athletic club...trust me, I worked for one for 10 years! You ask "how can they do that if they have a large class?" Because there is never less than 2 or as many as 4 instructors on hand during the peek class times. If you're serious about improving your health and body, then don't waste your money on those big fancy athletic club memberships where people come and go. They sell a ton of memberships after New Years and the new members come in for the first three months and then die off. Yesterday I finished up my six week challenge with Elite Edge in Waukee with the final weigh in. The challenge was to lose twenty pounds and that challenge never crossed my mind as the part that I could not obtain, rather the part that I thought would be the hardest part was the commitment to changing the habits of an unhealthy life style to one that I believed would be harder by eating right and the time commitment. The first two weeks were notably the hardest part of the program with the workouts and the pain of old muscles waking up. After keeping away from any type of sustained cardio and physical training for nearly twenty years the crew at Elite Edge showed me how I could look forward to entering a gym again with a great mix of exercise while surrounding Brenda myself with other positive trainers and program participants and make us smile while we were busting our butts! At this part in my life it provided me with pathway to better living through eating and exercise while giving me the energy I need to run a business and be a better father and husband. Both Brenda and I have committed to a full year with the Elite Edge and our next goals are that of learning the habits we need to take us into the life that takes us over the hill. Nether one of us want to be over the hill but if we have to be there, then I am glad that Elite Edge is giving us the push that we need to have an active life in our 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond. The end result of my challenge was 28.5 lbs in 6 weeks and nearly at my goal to be at my college weight by the time I am 50 in March. Today is the final weigh-in day and I can go in confidently knowing I've achieved my goals! Although my weight loss journey started two years ago, I hit a plateau and started gaining back some weight. Elite Edge was the perfect jump start to getting back into it! They assured me I would never go back to my original weight ever again and have been super helpful throughout the full 6 weeks challenge! I'm very thankful for their help and look forward to continuing my time with them to live a better lifestyle. I just completed my first 6 week challenge and lost a total of 23lbs. I started the challenge 7 weeks after having a baby and was ready to loose the baby weight and then some. The workouts are very challenging but fun as they are differnt each day. The hardest part to adjust to is the diet plan but is designed in a way that didnt leave me hungry. My trainers, Justin and Aaron, really helped encourage me to work hard and celebrated my successes! I’m excited to try another challenge. I would recommend Elite Edge to anyone wanting to loose 20lbs- this plan works!

Wow! I just successfully completed the 6 week challenge and had my final weigh in today. Down 25.5lbs! However, it doesn’t stop here. I think I’m finally finding what the “new” normal of what my life can be. On May 4th, 2014 little did I know that my life would forever be changed. We lost our daughter unexpected at the age of 21. Our only child. Life became very dark...I no longer had the motivation, desire or will to go to the gym. For 3 + years there were many sleepless night or nights with very little sleep. Over those years I put on 50lbs and even became more unhappy. THEN, several months ago I knew I had to do something. Something for ME. Several friends and coworkers had done the challenge. Seeing their great success I knew it was time for a change of workout environment. I needed guidance, support, accountable and results. Elite edge has forever change my life again. Eric, Aaron, Jake, Justin and Sara have been amazing trainers. They each go above and beyond for each individual in the class. They are very professional and passionate about what they do. I have gained so much more than just the loss in weight and strength. . I have never slept so good in the past 3+ years. More sleep = more energy = more motivation. I’m also learning that it’s ok to put me first and not feel guilty for having life, when my daughter was taken so young.

You ready to change your life, I was when I joined the 6 week challenge. I was stuck, even working out at the gym regularly I never had a drive or wouldn’t push myself. I didn’t have the motivation needed to be successful on my own. The program at Elite Edge gives you results period, if you join and FTDI you will lose weight gain muscle and feel like a new person. I’m current ending week 5 of 6 and I am so close to the finish line and I know that I am going to continue this beyond the 6 weeks because the coaches at the Waukee location encourage me, push me to do 1 more rep, and motivate me when I need it. The environment is casual and fun and everyone who works out there is committed to everyones success. Making a change in you life for the better isn’t always easy but the results I am seeing contine to drive me, and I couldn’t have done it with out my coaches.

I did not think it was possible to drop 20lbs in 6 weeks, but the trainers in Waukee really helped make it happen for me! They did a great job coaching along the way, making sure I was staying on track and encouraged me to keep going day after day. I feel so much better in my clothes and finally have my pre-baby confidence back. It has been a priceless transformation for me. The classes were always different and structured so you can get the most out of your workout possible in the time you are there. I love the finishers! I will take some of these and use them with my team 😊⚽️
If you are stuck and have been trying other programs for dieting and/or exercising I strongly suggest signing up for the challenge! The meal plan is tough but if you stick to it and listen to Eric you will see results! I know of two ladies that are signed up for the next 6wk challenge because of my success 🙌🏻

My Elite Edge -Waukee- experience is over and I am now happy to write a review.
Ross completed his first 20 lbs challenge and was very interested in doing it again with me. We attended the 4AM or 5 AM sessions and usually had Eric Howser or Jake, or BIG as our coaches. One of my favorite parts of the program and the staff is that they know your name and call you by it daily. The coaches walk through the group and give hand slaps and shakes as each person is personally welcomed.
Another part of the program I enjoyed was the no complaining rule. At orientation the new members were told that we weren't allowed to complain on Facebook or in the gym! It was awesome to constantly be surrounded by positivity. The coaches walked around after instructions were given for the day's workout and tweaked or changed form and technique helping each person obtain their best workout possible.
Every workout was full of variety. You simply never knew what to expect! We often joked that the coaches just made stuff up when actually each workout was specially designed by an award-winning trainer. When crowd was an issue the coaches wisely assigned starting points to groups of people so no one had to wait for equipment or hinder their workout. The 45 minutes always flew by and each moment was filled.
The diet was easy to follow as long as you were willing to meal prep. Ross and I did in on Sundays and bought sectioned containers. Then every morning we'd grab a breakfast and a lunch and protein shakes for in between meals.
I lost 7 lbs the first week and 2-3 every week after that. I went from a size 14 to a 10 and now crave water.

I just finished the 6-week challenge and I am down 31 pounds. After taking years off from focusing on my health and fitness, I finally feel like I am back on the right track.
The trainers at Elite Edge are amazing. They truly take their time to get to know you and are always there to keep you motivated and teach you proper lifting techniques.
The eating plan is very strict however; it is also very straightforward and easy to follow and I never felt like I was starving. There is also a great support group consisting of past and current challengers so I never felt like I was alone.
I would highly recommend Elite Edge to anyone who is looking to make an achievable yet positive change in their lifestyle.

Finishing up my 6 week challenge at Elite Edge gym in Waukee Iowa. The trainers are incredible people. They're motivating, know what they're doing, and really push you to go beyond your best at every workout. It's been an amazing experience and I'd recommend it to ANYONE. They offer multiple classes every day making it really easy to fit in an hour of time to focus on and do something good for yourself. The 6 week challenge diet plan was easy to follow and the gym offers recommended supplements you can purchase in house. They also offer challengers good deals on memberships! I just finished the 6 week 20 lb challenge at the Waukee Elite Edge Transformation Center. I signed up on a whim and didn't really consider the full impact this would have on me both physically and mentally. I succeeded in the goal of losing at least 20 lbs (I lost 28!) and am at a weight I haven't been since high school. (I'm in my 40s!) I have increased muscle in my arms, legs, and even my core again even while losing the weight!

This is not your typical gym. You don't show up and wonder what to do or work on that day. You aren't staring at a bunch of fancy equipment that you might not even know how to use with no one around to show you how to use it. Each day is a hour workout led by professionals that show you the proper way to do the exercises and push you along the way. Also every work out is different, focusing on different areas and different types of fitness. In 6 weeks I never did the same workout twice. Maybe some of the same exercises, but everything is mixed up well.

The 6 week challenge also changes your diet, which is really the bigger part of the picture! Food is Fuel is their mantra and you will really start to understand this and feel your body using the food you eat as you progress through the challenge. But you're not just dieting where you would lose weight and hence lose muscle. You turn your body into a fat burning machine and build muscle along the way!

After the 4th week in the program I decided to join Elite Edge and become a full time member. I want to continue this great fitness journey I've started! I did not think I would ever join a gym when I started the challenge, but my results speak for themselves. If you do the work and eat properly, you WILL get results!

I highly recommend Elite Edge! Try the 6 week challenge and see results!

Before attempting the 6 week challenge I worked out off and on and dieted off and on. I was slowly gaining weight and forming my dad bod. After hearing about this challenge, I realized that the time had come to make a change from what I was doing and really push myself to get back to my lean self. I am so happy with my results! Elite Edge is truly a transformation center. If you commit and FTDI, then their process works incredibly well. I lost 12 lbs my first week and was absolutely shocked. The second week I didn't lose any, but it is expected to stall at times. Then during weeks 3 - 6 I consistently lost 3 - 4 lbs each week culminating in a total of 28lbs lost! I can't say enough how this challenge has changed and motivated me in every way possible. I am eager to continue to eat healthy, I am excited to continue to workout on a daily basis, and I feel better than I have in decades (literally!). Thank you to the staff, trainers, and fellow challengers for the constant support and motivation to achieve my goals.

I don't have enough good things to say about Elite Edge and the 6-week challenge that I participated in. The gym itself is a great facility; clean, organized and ready to go each time I come in. The people are amazing! From the managers to the trainers to each person associated with this group, each one is there to help you succeed in your goals. The great part is they help you determine what your goals need to be and then work with you to accomplish them, on an individual basis. They call it a "fitness family" and they really do back that up. For these reasons and more, I will be a member after completing my challenge and would encourage anyone with questions or doubts to come by and check it out.

I got into this when i made an off hand comment ro my girlfriend that id always love to do one of those finess chellenges. At 55 yearsold i wasnt sure if i could really do something like that but to my surprise she sugned me up. Being a bit stubborn and hating to lose at things I wentto the first class. I thought i was going to die. The first week i was so sore.... Then i started seeing myself do things i never tjought i could. I kept at it for 6 weeks and..... I Lost 30 pounds in 6 weeks it is an amazing experience... Do it.!!!
I loved the coaches especially Sara who kept pushing me and telling me i could do burbees.. Over and over. Great experience one ill remember for a long time.

When I first saw the Ad on FB, felt it was interesting n wanted to give a try but
I was lil skeptical about myself, will I be able to make it or not!! After meeting SarahTriplett , the way she explained about challenge made me signup n It was such an amazing Journey since then! Successfully completed challenge n lost 23.5 pounds.Exercises were challenging n frequently changed.First week was difficult for me.. As am a Vegan, Diet plan was limited. But from 2nd week I gained confidence n was able to stick to diet plan n workouts. Home workout plans was very helpful. Trainers were very helpful n motivational through out the program. Huge Thanks to SarahTriplett for motivating n guiding me every time .Its definitely hard work n determination that will make you win this challenge.. It wasn't easy but through constant support from my amazing husband n trainers it was possible 😊I still remember the words said by JoeBrammer during registration that 'you can do it' n finally I made it!!!! Thanks Joe for this amazing program as a step to begin a healthy lifestyle.
