Love going to watch my son play. But sad when refs dont follow rules argue with parent on the sideline and way over priced on food. People also have a job to do seeing all the workers on their cell phones. No customer service interaction kind of sad.

This message is to the General Manager, our first visit to the Field House wasnβt the greatest. Itβs a beautiful facility and parking is good but the overall experience, was lacking. Entry fee was $20 (each) no rosters to indicate the teams or the fields they would be playing on - no signage inside to guide you either. There were bleachers right in front of the field, so you are looking through the field house glass to scan for your player. The glare off the entry way was so strong, it was practically useless to see anything sitting there. The depth of the field, is so great itβs hard to find the person youβre looking for. If you were lucky enough to find them, then the in-coming players came in, and stood right in front of the windows, which blocked your view even more. As a GM, I would want to address these issues right away, it would cost very little to put some reflective film on the entry way windows to cut down the amount of glare, you could have the incoming players stand along the side lines, you could update your webpage with the teams and players - these are easy items to address. The enclosed picture will show you what our view was like this morning, I think it speaks for itself. If youβre going to charge $40 for couples to get in, consider giving the patrons a more satisfying experience.

Clean, well kept facility. Nice concession area with plenty of food and drink options, and reasonable prices. Plenty of parking and easily accessible for all ages and abilities. My only complaint is the price charges to get in to events, but I. Not sure if that is due to overhead or if it is the sports clubs over charging.

The facility itself is nice. We have played several basketball tournaments here and they are usually well-run and games stay on time.
Walking between courts is difficult, especially when games are going on. This could especially be a problem for handicap accessibility. During a tournament weekend, courts are especially slippery as they do not sweep between games.

You can't bring your own drinks or food but they have only two small concession stands that were very understaffed ("the kids didn't show up to work"). The diet coke spout was broken, out of iced tea, and don't expect to see any real strawberries or bananas go into the "real fruit smoothies". Keep in mind that you will be spending several hours there for an event. Also, you have to pay $10 per person to watch you kids play after they've already paid dues to their sports clubs.

This place is incredible! This was our 2nd year to attend NHSVBT Volleyball Nationals Tournament at the Iowa West Field House. The facility was kept in great shape. Plenty of room to maneuver around to get where we needed. Concessions were great and provided plenty of options. Bathrooms were clean. And opened class windows to watch others play pickle ball and practice wrestling during our down time.

Large overpriced venue, poor seating, poor concesions. Spent $24 for one game, skew the schedule to make the most of the grandparents who want to watch their grandkids. Typical revenue seeking organization, dont buy into it. Take your kids and find smaller venues with local teams.

Great facility, but poor planning and employment practices. They do not allow outside food yet do not hire enough employees to avoid 45 minute lines for a simple cup of coffee. I don't mind buying food and drink inside (the prices are very reasonable) but the wait in line because they can't figure out how to serve people in an efficient manner is very frustrating.

I havenβt been to very many different venues that sponsor basketball tournaments BUT yesterdays experience has shown me iowa west field house is one of the worst. For the amount of money parents pay for their sons/daughters to compete the facility could do a better job tending to the courts between games and or at half time. Games from 8 am to 8 pm and not once were the floors cleaned. Also concessions higher priced than others and the popcorn was stale and not fresh at all. Hope we donβt get stuck here again

The facilities and courts are very nice. The 2 stars come from the fact that the upper management staff is rude even after you have to pay ridiculously high spectator fees. In order to watch my 10 year old play 1 game of basketball I have to pay $10 to $15 eventhough as a team we pay tournament entry fees??? They pretend to give spectators a break by selling 3 day passes for $25. The fact that tax payers and the casino funds paid to build the facility the entry fees are outrageous. The management staff just let the young workers handle everything. The refs are very good and worth the fees. The managers should get pay cuts and give it to the refs.

Yall need to find some refs that are gonna call fair calls
The last game i watched was ridiculous. Allowing the other team to foul and trip our team and then calling the fouls on us rather than the fouling team. Very unprofessional not happy. This has nothing to do with winning or losing this is about your refs allowing the kids to playball and calling the right calls

Here's the problem!! AAU tournaments are pricey but we do it for our kids to help them achieve greater skill development. But having to pay $50 to enter to watch them play is outrageous to say the least and you pay each day of the tournament to enter again!!...i just went to view Monster Truck Jam and spent less,, bathrooms aren't kept that clean and what concessions are available, let's just say you could have a nice steak dinner for the price of a drink, scrawny chicken fingers and a bag of chips ( slight exaggeration but not by much ). That's my take, like it or not!!
