Great clean facility! It was a basketball tournament so parking lot was full and seemed small but I'm sure if no event, it's fine! Friendly staff! Appeared to have plenty of machines & a meeting room.

The fitness equipment, courts, track, and games are highlights of The LBC, but our family also enjoys the programming and group fitness classes. The facility is always sparkling clean (no funky gym smell) and we are greeted by kind staff. Well done, LBC team!

Can't beat the number of amenities at this price. Day pass is only $7 for adults and $5 for children. I recommend asking for a tour if it's your first time.

My family and I live on the road for part of the year and recreation centers often make great stops to workout, have some fun and shower. We have traveled all over the country and have visited probably 100 recreation centers. This is literally one of the best! We were absolutely shocked. The staff was super friendly and kids/teens were having fun everywhere. There were so many thoughtful and unique ways to be active, that anyone will would have fun here. Everything is clean and well-maintained too. Matt, the manager, even came up to introduce himself and to make everything was going well! This place is pretty special.

Great place to get active. Basketball is the favorite thing for my teenagers. Lifting weights are second on their list. Many activities available.

Great for adults. Not a great space if you have multiple kids with multiple interests that are at the in between ages(8,8,9). You can't be on a separate floor or room from your child and there is nothing for an adult and child to do in the same space. I can't walk the track, and they play basketball/soccer. If one child wants to play soccer and the other basketball this is not possible. For a parent with multiple children wanting to have a space to get exercise together this is not it!

A very nice Rec Center, especially for a smaller community. Their daily workout fees are very reasonable too. They are serious about their closing time though. They start closing down early, including locking the locker rooms, etc so be prepared to be wrapped up before then. Plenty of kid friendly activities, weights, a track and courts make it a good choice for families with older kids that want to go to the gym too.

The membership sign up process was fast and easy using Silver Sneakers. I have taken classes in yoga and qigong with Catherine. Both were excellent. I walk the track for 30 minutes and enjoy the exercise and view through the windows and in the court. Wonderful place!

Great place and inexpensive! Our family played soccer, ping pong, rock climbing wall, air hockey, basket ball, and volleyball. They also had a nice I door track, workout equipment, and foosball.

Wow,wow,wow, this place is amazing. Huge windows and sunlight everywhere, amazing climbing wall, three full courts, one set up for volleyball, two for basketball, a turf room with batting cages, a cardio area. A free weight area, a machine weights area. Walking track, active video type games, party rooms, leagues, classes, affordable, amazing staff, awesome especially for the small town it is in, hats off Mt Vernon Iowa!
