We met Coach Hughes at AAU Nationals in Florida this week. My two black-belt teens were registered but their coach was not. Coach Hughes took them on and coached them as he did the kids on his own team. He personally won two medals, and his athletes took home several medals. But his willingness to step in and help two strangers, even staying after the match to give them advice and tips for future training, is the true measure of what a great mentor and coach he is! Thank you Coach!
