I’ve been lifting weights in some capacity for the past 10+ years and was getting burnt out and was looking for a new challenge - insert Motion Lab. The instructors have been so welcoming and helpful! I was definitely intimidated by the mega former my first class, but with the small class sizes, the instructor is able to give the appropriate attention to everyone which was especially great as a newbie. I’ve only been taking classes for 2 weeks, but so far I love it!

I’ve been going to Motion Lab for about 3 months now, and I’m absolutely hooked! I was getting bored and frustrated with my regular lifting workouts, but adding Motion Lab into my routine has been the best decision. My core strength has improved so much, and I can really feel the difference. The instructors are amazing, so knowledgeable, supportive, and motivating. The community here is incredible too. I can’t recommend Motion Lab enough!

I love love love Motion lab. The class sizes are small and your reformer is reserved specifically for you, so rolling into class after work is easy and not stressful (unlike other yoga or fitness studios where you have to arrive early to find a spot.) The instructors are so knowledgeable and you can tell they take classes and apply their own Pilates practice to their instruction. The music is so fun, and the workout is difficult but still enjoyable! You can push yourself to your own limit by adjusting reformer settings. It really is the best place to get stronger!

I’ve completely fallen in love with Lagree. it’s the perfect mix of intensity and intention. Every class challenges me both mentally and physically, and the instructors are incredibly supportive and motivating. My friend and I started with pilates, but we wanted something that would push us harder and make us sweat, Lagree delivered. I’m so grateful to have found Motion Lab; it’s now a staple in my routine.

I absolutely love Motion Lab. I’ve been dying for a studio like this to come to the Des Moines area ever since I moved from Chicago. All the instructors are great and the workout is amazing. After 8 classes, I can already tell a difference. Love this place!

I've completely fallen in love with Lagree. Every class challenges me in the best way, and I leave feeling stronger, both physically and mentally. I've been a weight lifter for the last 8 years and just started dabbling in workout classes (pilates, lagree, powerlife, etc.) to switch up my training. Lagree is easily my favorite, and will be a staple in my routine moving forward. So grateful to have found this space and community.

Lagree is such a great work out! Visiting from LA this class was on par with some of the best most famous studios I’ve been too. If you haven’t tried lagree- get on it!!! Your best bod awaits.

I love Motion Lab! I found Motion Lab on instagram and was intrigued. I had never taken a Lagree class before and I had a great first experience with Carter! if you’re thinking about it, do it! Such a great workout that can be modified for anyone. You’ll be sore the next day in all best ways. I also love the grippy socks that they sell.

As one of the only places in Des Moines that offers Lagree, Motion Lab is my HERO. Classes are challenging, but the instructors push and encourage you in all the right ways. My favorites so far are Hannah and Mallory, but you honestly can't go wrong with any instructor.

I was so excited for a Lagree studio to open here. I have been waiting 10 years!!! It is by far the best workout regimen I have had. Ellie (owner/instructor) is very approachable and welcoming. The other instructors (Ashley, Mailie ;)) provide variety in personality and teaching style.

This was my first Lagree class ever, and I loved it! Excellent customer service, workout, and music during class. The machines work out muscles that I can’t normally get to, and the isometric nature of the work out left me feeling both strong and limber. I normally run, peloton, strength train (low reps with high weights), and do yoga. The Lagree workout seems to be a perfect adjunct to my pre-existing routine. I hope all studios are this good, as I am only visiting the area. Definitely hope to continue this kind of workout back home!

Was my first time trying Lagree and I really enjoyed it! Was much more challenging than I anticipated and Carter, the instructor, was really helpful considering it was my first class! :) Much better than Pilates lol (sorry I hate comparing but it’s a fact). Very tough but fun!!! Will be back for sure!

Look no further. I now believe all the high impact workouts I have done throughout my life has caused the severe joint pain I now live with. I now believe if I would have found the Lagree Method years ago, I wouldn’t have any of the pain I now suffer from. Lagree is a full-body high-intensity low-impact workout on a megaformer, unlike the reformer used in Palates. The smoothness of this workout is like none other. I’m so thankful I finally found a workout that challenges me to the limits, yet is enjoyable and super effective. I love the studio atmosphere, along with the young professional couple who opened it. Give it a try, you’ll be hooked for life.

I absolutely loved working out at motion lab! I was visiting Des Moines on a trip, and had the chance to take one of their classes. The staff and teachers were so kind, and the workout was phenomenal (it really works out my muscles in a different way from all my other spin and yoga classes!) The class compared to the few LA Pilates classes I have taken, but with very clear instructions - and the studio is so cute. Excited to go back!

I have tried a lot of different types of workouts, but Lagree was something totally new and different. The high intensity, low impact workout got my heart rate up and had me working muscles I haven’t worked in a long time. The instructor was great and gave options for beginners to advanced. This is the workout you’ve been missing…I will definitely be back!

I had a pleasure of taking a class with Ellie recently and I am sooo excited there is a Lagree studio in Iowa now! I live in LA, and take Lagree regularly, so I am thrilled I can continue my favorite workout when visiting family in Des Moines.
