It is always clean, the staff is very helpful and courteous. My wife uses the app so we go when it is less busy. I think only once I found something that was out of order so they repair things quickly. Overall just a comfortable gym to workout in. The TVs are getting a little bad but I do see new ones ready to put up.

I frequent PFs in this area and I don't mind this location, but for some reason there is a lot of loitering in this PF women's locker room than others I have been in. Always ladies sitting on their phones in the locker room when I go in to change. I also do not see the "No Phone Use" sign in the locker room like at other locations.

I’m a truck driver so parking is always first concern. This place didn’t have an issue, plenty of room and nobody bothered me about it. Showers were good and this is my only issue, I don’t like when there’s not a shelf to put stuff on, other locations without a shelf at least have something hanging from the shower head. Water fountain was cold and equipment was all working good. Thanks a lot

I tried to get a 1 month membership and was told that Planet Fitness needed (1) my email address; (2) my phone number; (3) my bank account number; and (4) my bank *routing* number. This seems rather excessive, on par with the level of security clearance that one would need to get into the Pentagon, or the Kremlin. For a business, it seemed oddly difficult to give these folks my money.

Yes, this information--with the exception of an email address--is needed to write a check. But this information also is included *on the physical check*. Very few folks will have the routing number of their bank easily accessible. I can't help but think that part of the way Planet Fitness makes its money is by assuming people will have forgotten they are members, and they go out of their way to make cancelling a membership (or buying a short-term membership) deliberately difficult. I have a hunch this is why, when asked whether monthly memberships were possible, the chap working looked at me as if I were from Mars.

Again, not a big deal. There's plenty of other gyms in town. It's just odd that a corporate business has elected to have would-be customers navigate an obstacle course before taking their money.

To the individual/AI bot who responds to these urging negative reviewers to get in touch with management: please don't. It's why I'm typing the review here. If customer satisfaction is your #1 priority (or some other grandiose claim), you'll figure out how to get this comment to the people who need to read it.

Notice to the management! I've noticed that in the mens shower room there isn't an adequate shower curtain at all on the handicap shower stall and may be in violation of the Iowa Department of Inspections. Approximately 20 people were waiting this morning and when I left at 5:15 am, still no show for opening the center for the time of 5:00 am. This is not a reliable fitness center! This PF has friendly staff, plenty of machines such that I've never had to wait (I usually go evenings), and clean facilities, equipment and locker room. In fact, it is one of the cleanest gyms I've ever been to. I love that they are open all night some days because I occasionally have nights where I have trouble sleeping and I can just walk over (less than a mile) and burn off some energy before walking back home to a hot shower and sleep.

I called prior billing date to have them put my membership on hold because I was having a procedure done. I was told I could not do that over the phone or by email. I have been a member of Planet Fitness here in my community since the end of February 2020, and I am very happy I joined. The club is clean and spacious and has a huge variety of top-quality machines that allow you to tailor your workout however you wish. I especially appreciate not having to deal with the hard-core bodybuilders who seem to find pleasure in dropping or banging the heavy weights. That noise detracts greatly from the pleasure of the workout experience, and at Planet Fitness, it's not an issue at all. In addition, not only is the gym itself excellent, but also the Planet Fitness App is fantastic. It has a large variety of workout videos that you can do at home and lots of tutorials of the workout machines. Finally, access to the Black Card Spa is included with your Black Card membership, and that gives you access to massage chairs, Hydro Massage lounge chairs and flat tables, and the Total Body Enhancement machine. I am so happy that Planet Fitness is here. It provides a much-welcomed addition to the fitness facilities here in my city.

Location is great for me. I love that tanning & spa beds are part of the membership. I like that the treadmills have angled handle bars w/ function keys for easy adjustment in speed & incline. I called Planet Fitness at the beginning of March to cancel my membership. The guy I talked to on the phone did all their verification and said he was cancelling it. I noticed a few weeks later that I was still getting billed so I called in to see if I could get a refund and make sure that the billing didn’t continue. He said my membership wasn’t canceled and I would have to talk to Nick, the manager. I explained the situation to Nick and he said he wouldn’t issue a refund because I don’t have documentation of the call. I said I could send him a screen shot from my phone showing the day and time the call was made. He continued to insist he would not issue a refund. He told me to email corporate about the billing issue and ask for a refund but that he would make sure my account was cancelled going forward. I emailed corporate and their response was that because it’s a franchise, they don’t have my billing info and I would have to go to my local gym. So I went into the gym to talk to Nick and asked him if he would issue the refund, showing him the email that corporate had sent me. He said he would not. I asked him if he had cancelled my membership like he said he would and that I just wanted something in writing showing that it was canceled. He said he did not cancel it. I asked him to do it while I was there so I could be done with it. He said “I’ll get to it by the end of the day.” At this point I still have no refund or confirmation of my membership being cancelled. You can’t call corporate either. It’s just and endless circle. Frustrated and no one willing to help.

I would really like to enjoy the use of all the amenities this gym has to offer, but the shower heads have pink MOLD on them. That poses a huge health hazard for everyone. Skin hives, rashes, and irritation. Not to mention UTIs. Knowing you guys are a big company and all members are paying the annual fee the least you can do is get rid of this hazard ⚠️ and put some more effort to keeping members safe.

The signs give clear instructions, yet people come in and "hog" machines, blocking the use for those trying to actually DO the circuit. Manger was extremely rude. My friend and I went in and something went wrong with scanning in. She came storming over to us and got aggressive thinking that we were trying to sneak in. When we pulled out our app and tried again it still wouldn’t scan us in and she told us to either buy a day pass or get out. When we asked why we couldn’t be let in because she sees that we both have memberships she picked up the phone and said she’d call the police and have us removed. Needless to say we canceled our memberships and will never go to a planet fitness again.

They are known thieves. Steal from members once you sign up with your credit card or allow auto-deductions from your bank account. Plus they get really angry when you call them on it. this gym, does not open when it is supposed too- usually on Sundays, since Jan at least twice a month- we, the customers go, and no one is there- we are charged monthly, and a 45.00 additional fee fee in march for "maintenance" on top of my monthly fee. Used to love this gym. They have inexplicably put a manager in that is incredibly rude, cold and disrespectful. Stands behind the counter and doesn't acknowledge people that come in. Is rude to the employees. Has been rude and even harassing to me. Genuinely the worst "customer service" experience I've ever had. I called her on her disrespectful attitude, she took it personally and she actually insulted me. In front of other employees and guests! I've been a dedicated and considerate PF member for years and now I'm uncomfortable going to this gym. I just want to go in and work out on my lunch break.
