So it was suggested to me by staff that I freeze my account since the tanning bed bulbs need changed and planet fitness makes the staff do it. I tried to unfreeze on my account online over a month later with no success, I went to my local planet fitness in Burlington Iowa and I am informed not only are bulbs not changed that I need permission from manager to unfreeze my account due to the billing cycle so I of course asked to be prorated not an option, pay per tan not an option, contact manager myself and i was only provided an email address which he hasant responded, I've called the local planet fitness multiple times to speak with manager with promise of return phone call and nothing......in short they suck if you want to tan there, im taking my money somewhere else.

I love this gym so much. It is my favorite planet fitness I have ever been to and I’ve been too many of them. I am from Florida and that’s one thing I love about planet fitness you can go to any location when you have a membership, but I just wanted to take a moment to say that this gym is top-notch. It is always so clean and so nice. The staff here is always so friendly and always available to help with questions or anything you need!!! Cat is amaaazing & her smile is contagious!!!! She is one of the main reasons I always make sure I come back to this location!!! Thank you to all of the staff at planet fitness for everything you do💜💜💜

Horrible service, hard to cancel, when deciding to cancel i went up to planet fitness and tried, they really insisted that i freeze my account for 2 months, i’ll be gone for 3, so a few days later, i tried to cancel it on the phone and they told me to do it online, i went online and noticed that i would have to pay a 53 dollar cancellation fee because i didn’t notify them that i wanted to cancel it before today’s date, which i did, a few days ago…? so i called them back and they told me that i was gonna have the cancellation fee anyways because it’s too close to august 1st which is my annual fee date, so i have up trying to explain that i was already trying to cancel it before the deadline to cancel it, and i went to put my card info in and the website said that my card expiration date was wrong, which it isn’t, tried refreshing several times and it still wouldn’t let me cancel my membership, so i can’t cancel my membership without paying this fee but they won’t let me pay the fee..? i would have recommended this gym before all this, but this is too much work just to try to cancel something that i won’t be using for months

It’s a pretty average planet fitness. Most of the staff are nice enough. My main complaint and hopefully management can address this is what time they clean the showers & locker rooms. Consistently over the last few months they will shut down the locker rooms/showers an hour after they open. I understand wanting to have a clean facility and that is appreciated. That being said it is extremely inconvenient for myself and many others who want to shower right after there work out and head to work. Why would they not clean them at the end of the day or even in the middle of the day. On top of that some of the staff will get pissed off and roll their eyes at you when you ask how soon the locker rooms will be open. Again I know they are just trying to do their jobs but don’t be rude and snippy when people are trying to use the facilities they pay monthly for.

This gym is amazing. The staff is super friendly and the place is always very clean. There are tons of options for routines in machines, pullies and free weights. It WILL have what you need, no mater what your needs are. I don't feel judged and people, for the most part just smile as you walk by and keep to their workouts. I will happily point others to P.F.- Burlington when asked about a gym. P.s. The black card is worth it!

The equipment is excellent and they have a wide variety of weights. Top oft the line circuit training and more . Always clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I love the Beauty Angel it consistently makes me feel better after a workout. .By far The best gym in Burlington!!

I used to love this black card membership for it's tanning package. Since it opened the staff has taken this gym down 4 stars. I'd tell a owner but mystery is who that currently is?? This gym doesn't tell you they close their spa used to be 15 minutes before they close, I found out when I was already at their gym. I can respect that policy but then another day I went tan was told 20 minutes before they close now. I walk in any time nobody behind the desk. 10 minutes I gotta go find staff. Last time I finally found guy he very rudely says spa closes "now 30 minutes before they close". Another time the girl said "she doesn't feel like cleaning the spa so she's closed it" the beds are always dirty now and I don't when/if their ever gonna change bulbs I barely get tab there now. Certainly not worth getting black card although if I just went in to work out, there is no staff to greet anyone available, their ready to run ya off so they can walk out ASAP screw your membership fee and word of mouth. Don't waste your $ on the spa here

Been a black card member for about a year and I believe it’s worth it. I go after work which is about peak busy time and there are still machines available to use or rotate through while you wait. VERY CLEAN. It does not smell of BO. Ladies locker room actually has a great scent. Wish there were some squat racks that weren’t smith machines. Feel very comfortable going there.

I have recently joined and would recommend becoming a black card member. With this benefit, I am able to workout then reward myself with a hydromassage or tanning session. It has never been too busy during the times I have been there so I am able to safely social distance from others. More than enough workout machines and free weights for any level of fitness!

I went into this place to deliver food and was told about it. I thought it was interesting so on my day off, I went back in to get information and to sign up but when I asked the attendant for information, he looked confused and went to get another attendant. He then told me to meet the second guy Ina certain area The second guy pulled up a tablet and told me to fill out the paperwork. I asked him why do I need to filled out paperwork just to hear about the gym. He's aid it's policy in order to show people around. I told him that I didn't ask to be shown around. I just wanted to know about the prices. He said it's their store's policy to do that. I left and will never go back. I think I'm just going to get a membership at the Y

A Very nice place to workout, Many machines for your body workouts and functional training for cardio. Nice friendly people to talk too. Signed up for a Day pass couple months ago. Used that up and enjoyed the gym. Also enjoyed their Massage chairs. Best massage I ever had. They also have a Spa and Massage backroom area. Which was really neat. Great place.
