Gym is fine, but staff or store policy seems deliberately predatory. I called and told them I had a new baby and needed to cancel for a while. Was told to cancel online, but the web portal had errors every time I tried, over multiple days with multiple different browsers. According to Reddit, this is common, leading me to think it could be on purpose. I called and they told me to wait for a call back from a manager, who never returned my call. When I called them and got the manager myself, she told me to send a letter in snail mail. More than a week later and the day before the monthly fee would be charged, they claimed they never received it. Had to get someone to watch my 2 week old baby so I could go in person to cancel, and when I did, they didn’t even need my ID or a manager to do so, so there was literally no reason this could not have been taken care of over the phone when I called in the first place. Terrible customer service experience.

I go here with my dad mostly everyday and they have set an amazing environment. The front desk greets us every day on our way in, and on our way out. Everything is very clean, from the equipment, to the bathrooms. (Which are very pretty, I love the mirrors!) We have the spa pass and the Hydrotherapy seats are AMAZING! Overall I have only one complaint, which is the use of paper towels. I understand the convenience but it isn’t eco friendly, I would more understand a switch to reusable microfiber towels that can be washed after use. Planet Fitness for your fitness. Planet Earth for your future. Keep both clean.

Small gym in comparison to others, clean, showers. Need a loose scrubbing, bathroom needs a little clean up but other than that, nice gym, not too busy on July 4th during the day.
Enormous parking lot since it's in a mall, large RV and 18-wheeler parking available.

I not only want to write a review about the gym but want to give a "shout out" to Krista (hate if im butchering the spelling). This gym is spacious, well equipped with cardio of every type (and many of each), latest weight machines, racks, dumbells, benches and everything to meet your goals. Pricing is below market level and hours are great so no excuses for failure. Now Krista...most staff gives the nod or hello. This is fine and standard. Krista makes your day, makes you feel welcome, valued, wanted to be a member and changes everything. She sets the bar sooo high and makes you want to come there. Great hire and representative of the gym. Well done PF!!

I’m a truck driver so all my reviews are based around that, #1 is parking and this place is a fail for that. The map looks like a nice big parking lot where we wouldn’t be bothering anyone and that’s true. Within 10 minutes of parking the mall security told me to leave. Sucks to feel like that when you’re trying to do something good like exercise and get a shower. I found off site parking and walked so it is possible. Gym is very small, I won’t be back to this location. Could’ve been a good one too since it’s at a mall, I wanted to spend money

The new manager has really turned this place around. There is new equipment and broken equipment has been fixed, and the gym floor appears much cleaner than before. Staff are consistently present too. Really appreciate the improvements.

I like the size of the Coralville plannet fitness there's plenty of room to spread out and they have all the equipment. As a truck driver I've been to alot of PF's and this is one if not the best one. I've probably been to 10 different PF's, so my option is experienced.

It gets the job done, but could definitely be cleaner. If you’re a black card member you have to wait sometimes 10/15/20 mins for someone to come back to the front desk to be able to help. Once in a while is one thing, but it’s happened several times in the mornings. Definitely clean tanning equipment BEFORE and after, but they very clearly aren’t often.

The poor reviews here don't do this place justice. I could go on about all the things wrong with the club, but what's the point? I am going to talk about the fact they cannot get the store open when they are supposed to. Almost every time i come in Saturday or Sunday the place isn't open at 7. Yesterday at 9am they still weren't open! What is the compensation for all the people wasting their time and money? Where are the GM and owner? How can they allow this? Some people don't deserve to own a business. Wow. Below is how much the owner cares. Il give them credit for being straight about it anyway. They just blatantly don't care. Edit - HQ responds to my post by asking me to contact the manager. Meanwhile, I’ve made clear in my post already that there doesn’t seem to be one. And, I see another post saying someone was removed as a member for complaining about the issues. So why would I?

Going down hill. I’ve been going here for just over a year and used to think highly of the location.

Now, almost every machine I use has something wrong with it, most often a split in the seat that pinches you as you try to do reps. There are 3-inch deep holes where your knees go on one of the ab machines. I reported it months ago.

The employees dust more often than they keep the equipment and bathrooms sanitary. There’s either one person on shift doing everything or 5 people doing nothing.

The paper towels and spray are constantly empty, often times having no other option than dirty wet rags people have been using all day on their machines.

There is also very clearly no standing manager/supervisor at the location. They clearly brought someone in months ago (Andrew, I think) that seemed like a temp supervisor to get the place on track again, and the day he left, the place fell apart again.

The standards here just keep going down.

I love coming to the gym.. but honestly the bathrooms should be cleaned. Ever since I can remember that blood has been on the wall, they only mop and clean the floor but don’t actually clean the toilets which is disgusting. People sweat, and sit on those seats. You don’t know what virus someone could have or just bacteria in general if someone is sick, threw up, had diarrhea etc and these toilets are not cleaned. Staff just sit on their phone and just change things out but don’t actually clean anything.

Been a member for some time. They fail to keep the club clean. So my allergies were acting up because of all the dust. So I asked the manager and I asked the people behind the desk. If
they could vacuum That AreaThey didn't didn't like the fact that I asked couple of times in the locker room locker Dirty.
Showers dirty dirty locker and ask about that didn't do anything about that, so now they tell me. They have complaints of me. And the staff is scared of me. So therefore, they've come to the conclusion that I should be terminated as a member for speaking the truth. Never raise my voice at any time in the gym. Or do I take the time to speak to other members In the gym if not spoken to. I'm hurt that the management allowed this to take place.

Andrew is the current manager and he has recruited a lot of new employees who are attentive, friendly and stay busy keeping up with the gym and incoming customers.
