I dont recommend this location. They dont allow you to bring your kids for thier liability. Based on my instincts as a parent i certainly wouldn't expose my kids to any risks as it's my job to minimize risk. Be prepared for all the red tape here, they'll even take your picture and make you fill out a guest pass.

They STILL have not gone back to 24/4. They lie about it and say it's going to. It's almost always far too crowded and very difficult to get in a good workout when you're waiting for a bench or machine. Also they allow men in the women's locker room. They raise their cost for membership and reduce hours to stay open.

This planet fitness has absolutely no consistency I've been coming here off and on for years and have used total body enhancement. All the sudden you require eye wear?? When I asked about it I was told they've always required eye wear. I have NEVER been asked this. Train your employees better please.

Had a few misunderstandings with billing these past few months but after finally getting the right communication, my issues were resolved. Although I am not able to continue my membership due to personal issues, I still highly recommend planet fitness and I plan on coming back in the future because of the great customer service. The Hammond, Indiana location has so much better service than the Illinois locations and the managers actually care about the clients well being and don’t try to get over on you like other gyms. I’m just wondering why they got rid of there 30 min express work out station when every single PF I’ve ever been to throughout the USA has had except for this gym and there the only one that has there drinks under lock and key and most of the gyms I’ve been to you can get a good 45 min message not at this location you get 10 min and have to keep going back to the front and ask for more time. I want to know why you have to be different do it differently than everyone else who is following the rules set by HQ please tell me that

My favorite aspect is the hydromassage after a nice long run on one of the many available treadmills or other available cardio machines, is a nice long weights work out. The staff are always friendly and ready to assist you.

Was a pretty good place. Recently got new equipment and jammed it all in there. No one to show how to use new equipment, they just threw into a opening. They DON'T KNOW THEIR CLIENTS. They took out a 30 minute workout room that people used and a lot of people. You certainly don't know what is and isn't used and by who. Problem is the owner doesn't know his locations and his employees are certainly not telling them. I guess if you don't care that's cool. There are other places to go.

We tried to freeze our membership back in February. The woman working the desk told me that it was too close to the billing date that we'd have to wait a month. I said that was fine, so she set up our account to begin said freeze in a month. As the month came to a close, I asked the front desk what the exact start date was for the account freeze, so we knew when to stop coming and start going to our new gym. They said this next month was already in the process of pulling again. I said that must be incorrect because we had set up the membership freeze a month ago. The manager, Jessica, said she could help by having it pull $0 instead of the monthly fee and we'd be good. I figured that would solve the problem, but we were still charged for the month on our bank statement. I called them asking why this was and they said they set it up to pull $0 for the NEXT month and there's nothing else they could do for us. I say all of this to say, they either have horrible communication or have no idea what they're doing. I was very clear in what I wanted and nobody could properly freeze my account. I've heard it's just as hard to cancel. Which I may be doing soon because this is ridiculous.

Called in to cancel my membership and was informed
to send a letter in confirming I want to cancel. I did that on February 4th.

March 1st comes around and I am charged $52.43. I stop in to find out what is going on, and the lady “can’t find my letter.”

I WAS ALSO INFORMED THEY HAVE A POLICY WHERE ONCE MONEY IS TAKEN FROM YOUR ACCOUNT, IT’S THEIR MONEY NO MATTER WHAT.

Stay away from this place. Dubuque has many HONEST gyms.

I’ve been a black card number for three years. And I’ve used many planet fitness locations across the country when I travel . I used to love coming here (Dubuque) after work and before I have to pick up my two-year-old from Daycare.

I’ve always abided by the rules. Even bought special Stretchy jeans with No rivets to wear to abide by the rules. Because time is a factor I don’t have time to change clothes after work and pick up my son on time.

But lately, this new Blonde Haired employee named, McKenzie seems to go out of her way to single me out in front of other members and tell me I’m break rules. Its Embarrassing!!!

1st time she said I couldn’t use my plastic card to scan in so I could work out. I would need to use an app on my phone.

Now it’s I’m not allowed to wear my stretchy non-riveted, non Grommet jeans to use the equipment.

I’m on the verge of canceling my membership because I’m being singled out almost every time I stop and try to work out .. It’s Ridiculous.!!

I started going here in late September, and I absolutely LOVE it! I've tried joining other fitness centers as an adult, but I didn't always feel comfortable. Planet Fitness is a non-judgmental place to exercise, and I would highly recommend getting a membership!

It's a gym, gets the sweat going. I do wish others would be aware of the machines. Seems like people like to do a set and play on their phone for 10 minutes before the next set. Otherwise it's clean, and the staff has been very nice greeting me.

My nephew signed up for a membership. He made good progress over a number of months but then eventually somebody came over to him and told him lunk alert. He asked what that meant and the employee told him that means he's intimidating other people by the way he's working out. My nephew was so offended he wanted to cancel his membership then and there, and the employee at the counter insisted that he needed to pay for another month in order to cancel.

I normally have a pleasant experience besides the fact every time I go every weight rack is being used. The last couple of nights have been extremely annoying. The employee shuts all of the tvs off 10-20 minutes prior to closing time. Then he starts yelling every 5 minutes how much time we all have left. I understand that this employee most likely wants to leave right at 10, but that is not how the world works. This has been very annoying and very unprofessional. He even called the security guard and he started laughing!! Everyone in the room is fead up with this man!!

After years of being a member, we finally decided to cut ties. And talked about joining again after seeing FINALLY they did in fact upgraded their machines. After rejoining PF we were on vacation and updated our cards from our bank. After coming home we notice it was OUR FAULT for not updated our payment method. Which I was in the process of. Then I notice they jacked up the prices. We went from 19.99 a month to 24.99, So I'm clear here PF decided to no longer stay open all night but get this, they thought to themselves "let's hike up the prices". Any time fitness is 24 hours

Or outside smoking. No Thanks and be prepared to wait if you have a question for the staff. But I guess when you pay $9 an hour you get what you pay for. Horrible

As a member of the very first planet fitness in Dover New Hampshire this planet fitness would have been my 75th one. Whenever I travel I work out. This was a hostile environment very unfriendly and very unwelcoming I left after 5 minutes in the worst mood. I just crossed the state line and I've been in this state 20 minutes looking forward to getting some exercise before I continue on. The check in absolutely forever and there was a lot of mass confusion which is weird because I worked out yesterday in Madison wisconsin. And the day before in Detroit michigan. I work out everywhere I go with no problems with checking in. That was not the case here and the guy at the desk even had to call his boss because something was happening with the system with my checking in although he said I came up on the screen but would not officially let me check in which makes no sense. He even acknowledged that I am a black card membership and my dues have been paid but I was not able to buy a bottle of water for $1. The fact that he had to call his boss made me feel as if I had done something wrong.. I wanted a bottle of water for purchase. I could not understand why I could not buy one. He said the system would not let me. This has
not happened at any other location. Wouldn't you think that for a black card member that they could spare a damn dollar. I went to the water fountain and you're not allowed to drink out of the water fountain it's only for filling bottles. It literally says do not take sips from this fountain. I am one of those guys who works out religiously and I have my own water bottle that I left it at the hotel. This place could not be more cheap. The reason I am posting this is because if you're from out of town and you're thinking about going to this location, don't bother. Obviously the black card is not for every location as they advertise when you purchase your membership. I have used it everywhere but here.

I gonto PF 3 days a week. I love the 30 minute room, but people come in and use a couple machines and just hang on them while on their phones. The staff come and see this and let them do it. Most days you have to skip machines and do not get to do the whole room. The women's showers do not get cleaned very often. The shower heads either have extreme pressure or none at all. Takes forever to get machines fixed when they break.

Not gone lie. The workers there are lazy. There's a young lady who just sits behind the desk and stares at her phone the whole time, while the spray bottles are empty. There is only like 3 racks. It's a pretty small gym and the workers dont enforce the way the equipment should be used. So machines are constantly broken. Not worth the 30$ a month. Definitely looking for a new gym. The gym also looks messy. Don't even get me started on how grimmy the men's bathroom is.

I found the facility typical of several planet fitnesses. The issue with is facility is the staff. They seem to have real issues with minorities. The elderly staff are not welcoming. They give dirty looks at you. The younger staff don’t smile either and they are quick to challenge your presence. Tanning beds are not clean. It’s very dark in facility and it smells horrible in locker room
