This gym is like one big family. All of the employees are kind, inviting, and encouraging. The gym has a wide array of equipment. I especially appreciate the sauna, polar ice room, wet sauna, & Recovery Room, after a workout. I feel like I'm rewarding myself after working out. The Ms. Mac Workout room is solely for women, which is a great asset for those of us just beginning or want some privacy while getting into shape. The pool is a nice sized for lap swimming & the classes offered are fun & energizing. Finally, it's clean, the music played in the gym isn't loud or overpowering, & those who attend here are also helpful & kind. I'm thankful I found this hidden gem in Marion, to begin my exercise recovery. You won't be disappointed!

This is the worst of the MAC locations I have been to. Machines are old and rusty, there are bugs everywhere, music is WAY too loud, at least one TV is not working at all times, and people leave the spray bottles all over the place. Shared towels to wipe down machines too, which means your hands smell like someone elseβs sweat until you wash them.
Update- they are looking in on the issues I mentioned. I like this gym, so hopefully they make some good changes.

Once again, I chose a shower with no hot water. I did check some other showers and sinks for hot water.
It seems to be that only the handicap shower is plumbed only for cold water.

I use the Express location in Marion because it I right next to my work, and only a 5 min drive from my home.
It's not a very big gym, but thats fine. There's plenty of room and workout equipment for my needs. Showers and lockers of course(you have to buy your own lock).
The only down side I'd say is their internet. The connection sucks and I'm always having to just run off my data. Some of the treadmills have thier own touch screen with apps, like YouTube and Facebook, but again impossible to watch anything on them. Only reason I'm giving it a 4 star.

I enjoy their equipment but I hate a crowded gym. Even at 430 am there are too many people for my liking in such a small environment. Therefore, it is a good gym, I'm just trying to find a way out of my contract so I can find a gym that better fits my own needs.

This is the only club that charges an early termination fee around the Cedar Rapids area. I would steer clear of them. I cancelled due to ongoing issues of stress fractures in my foot and they still charged me $138 early termination fee. Terrible business.

High membership fees, monthly, plus an annual fee... for what? The TV's on machines never work right (audio jacks), and when you put in a request to fix, they go ignored. All the while, the owner is driving around in a new Cadillac written off as business expense. Then, after 6 years of membership dues paid in full, they need 30 more days to cancel. But hey, they've got a nice array of free weights.
