Drove up from Waterloo. Pool closed due to “accident” where pool had to be shocked. Had to wait for close to hour and one half to use pool. I thought we should have gotten our money back for inconvenience as well as limited swimming time.

The saving grace as we could use the track and climbing wall to burn up time.

I love the atmosphere here, everyone is friendly, polite, and helpful. The equipment is wonderful and easy to use. I would suggest that the W be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day so employees can spend time with their families.

This place is constantly a riddle wrapped in a cocoon hidden in the middle of a labyrinth inside of a snowflake.
A complete and utter mystery to me.
The rules to the pool alone make swimming almost not enjoyable. The lifeguards are almost like prison guards- making sure you don't bring your water bottle in the steam room or that it's NOT recreational swimming, it's fitness swimming -stop enjoying yourself- that's tomorrow's activity, between 4-6. I was scolded for going with the current in the vortex pool, because the floor was so slippery I couldn't keep my stance.
So, as I took a week pondering how often they actually clean the pool, my thoughts were answered via email that the pool would be closed on the 13th for maintenance.
--i wondered if maintenance meant cleaning it so I called to ask. The employee who took my call assured me that the pool would be open that day, so mentioned the email. He put me on hold to check. When he came back, he said no one was sure but if I received an email stating that, then it must be right.
For a gym with great equipment, racquetball, volleyball, basketball courts, a pool, steam room, a pool, even a fun looking slide- even a rock climbing wall--- NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING- unless you bring your water bottle in the steam room, then they know what's up.

I was here during odd hours for an after prom/private event. The facility was very clean and well staffed. The pool has swimming lanes, a water slide, a small open area, and a circular area with a basketball hoop. There were 3 lifeguards in attendance and they were all effective at their jobs. There is a jetted hot tub area attached to the pool. The kids all said it was too warm, but it felt fairly standard temperature to me. There is a "family" locker room for mixed gender groups along with two standard gendered locker rooms. There was a separate basketball court, two enclosed racketball rooms, one extra large multipurpose room with the ability to set up pickleball courts. Electrical power is available in this space. There is an upstairs level overlooking all of these spaces, including the pool.

The bathrooms in these spaces need more prominant signage so they can be seen at a distance. They are of adequate size and the women's rooms have infant changing tables.

Most of the parking is across the street. There are handicapped spaces available immediately next to the building, but their proximity to the curb makes them difficult for wheelchair users getting out on the passenger side.

It's a fitness and wellness center This is a great place. They have a swimming pool they have their gym. Plus they have racquetball, basket bal l rockwall climbing. We enjoy it

We have lived in Waverly for over a year and are very impressed with The W! We attend regularly for many fitness activities and find it to be super clean and well-staffed, plus it provides a wide variety of activities and fitness classes. We are very pleased and glad we joined! Excellent value for the cost!

This is my go-to place to go swimming! It's $5 guest admission if you don't have a pass there and you get to go to the fitness center, rock wall, gyms and even the pool all with that $5. But their pool has a sauna and steam room and it has plenty of swimming lanes, hot tub, and even a whirlpool!
