Booked one of their two simulator bays online. Drove an hour to the clubhouse to discover they double booked the sim bay with another group and we not allowed to use the sim since the other group showed up 60 seconds before us. The 2nd simulator bay has been down for weeks if not months and they still haven't updated the booking website, so it still allows for two groups to book at the same time. Despite this causing us to waste our entire day and waste the gas to get there and back, they refused our requests for a voucher or discount for our next booking to make the situation right. There is also no indication that they will be either fixing the other broken simulator bay or fixing the website to not allow double bookings, so any booking made online for a simulator is not at all guaranteed and you run the risk of the driving all the way out there for nothing. Very disappointed in how they handled the situation and the lack of accountability and care for their customers.

Driving range is used and abused. Teeing off on rock hard dirt. Super sad especially for the season of rain we’ve had. Course itself is ok but not a single hole/fairway where you will have a “flat lie”. Golf course was basically graded into an up down left and right course.

When multiple other courses in the area including terrace hills and willow creek only charge a cart fee for kids, I was surprised that Toad want $29 per child to golf only 9 Holes. Ridiculous. I guess my kids and I will gladly drive a little further to go to Terrace Hills from now on and that is even a nicer course. 😡

Love this golf course!! Family owned with a very friendly staff. Not pretentious at all. Course is always in acceptable condition and prices are great. Tee times are spaced out comfortably and they try not to combine smaller groups unless they have to.

Family owned and operated for I believe three generations, they specialize in hospitality. I played the course in mid-July, and the fairways and greens were in great shape. Hats off to the greenskeeper.!

Took the family here tonight to the driving range. My kids are 4 and 6 and never have golfed. It was perfect for them. They can be loud and hit a few balls, while me and the wife hit some also. The games on the screens made it fun for them. The pizza was good. All said and done we paid 60 bucks. I’ll take that all day. Way better than going bowling.

We had a really bad experience in Fathers Day at Top Tracer. We ordered two pizzas and only one showed up. Then we were shut off after an hour and they stated we only booked for one hour, even after clarifying we booked two bays for two hours we were told there was nothing they can do. Really sour way to end Fathers Day.

The course was well maintained and the staff were nice. However, on both hole 4 and 18 the sprinklers turned on while we were on the green. It’s not that fun getting soaked and having to putt through that.

If you need to host an event, you NEED to call Allison at Toad Valley/Field of Greens. Allow a business day or two for response by email (the lady is busy), but if you're in a hurry you can give her a call and catch her almost any time.
This is my second year hosting a client appreciation event at Field of Greens and my first to incorporate Flight Zone and I plan to be back next year. Having a sheltered/heated option allowed my event to be rain-or-shine and boy did it rain!
Almost all attendees were non-golfers and they had an excellent time taking big swings and enjoying some FANTASTIC pizza and not getting drenched. Plus, it's inexpensive compared to other options I've investigated. If you've never put on a client event before, this is an easy, affordable option.

Love the toptracer shed!! Took my wife and 2 daughters out there and had a blast. Went on a 35° night and had to take our coats off. Staff was nice and pizza was ready good. All in all, highly recommended for a way to have winter fun in Iowa for an hour or two.

The new top tracker range is very neat, but if they can’t figure out how to keep it warm in the winter - we won’t be back! Gonna need to allow the heat to be turned above 70 degrees when it’s 12 degrees outside with open doors. Topgolf gets it done!

Another exciting and successful season coming to an end. Today Valley Golf Club (TVGC) was amazing in 2023. The greens, fairways, and treeline were well kept. Kudos to the grounds General caretaker.

Throughout 2023 season the staff were amazing, friendly, and courteous. They are truly the epitome in total customer service satisfaction when it comes to treating their members and nonmembers All the staff provided flawless customer service.

First sure we will be back in 2024 and looking forward to the new and improved driving range and the top tracer sims.

Well I can honestly say that I have never been bullied off a golf course until today. My friend and I were golfing and this was his first time playing, we tried to play the front 9, but apparently we were too slow for the owners and we were forced into playing best ball. 9 holes in an hour and a half, for $40…what a great first experience for my friend, thanks for ripping us off

I have played as a two some twice this summer here during the week and both time took us close two five hours to play 18. Waiting to hit every shot all day long. Today I arrived ten mins early for our tee time and didn't get to hit till fifteen mins after it. The starter is very unpleasant as well.

Course is absolutely gorgeous. Looks like they put a great deal of work into maintaining the grounds. And I t’s a fun course to play.

Mini golf is in solid shape. Lots of fun for the kids.

Two stars because of the clubhouse being ridiculously slow. On a Friday with 1 1/2 people working (half because she wasn’t doing much besides standing around). Waited over half an hour in a line of four people to play some mini golf. When we got up to the counter, the lady picked up the phone and started chatting. Said nothing to us but “I’ll help you here”. After another 10 min we left. Went to Terrace Hills and was playing in 7 min. After a much larger line. Would love to come back if they can staff enough people to get customers out playing. Seems to be getting worse.

Adjusted to 3 stars (because of the course itself) Staff was there. Just not doing anything. If I would have had a T time I would have been more upset. Glad it was just a family mini golf outing. I also noticed a lot of the reviews mention slow play. Perhaps getting people through the line and on the course would help.

The staff is wonderful and I always enjoy the course. Its not the longest course so the layout is set up to provide different challenges which i appreciate. The difference between this being a 5 star is the course was slow. There were a couple 5-somes out there and we had to wait on more tee boxes than I would prefer. All told its a fun time and, again, the staff is terrific. I'll be back.

Excellent 18 hole experience. Facility also has a mini-golf course for the whole family as well as a kitchen and bar.
Additionally, the facility boasts an amazing virtual golf simulator that really feels like the 'links'.
Lastly the facility is expected to unveil a new, state-of-the-art driving range in Spring of 2022.

As my "home" course from 2009 - 2016, it was great to be back out today to play in a church outing! All the owners are real people, not corporate robots, and their staff follow this example to a T! Always a pleasure dealing with anyone who works there :)

After several seasons of flooding, drought, and last year's Derecho, the course was surprisingly in great shape and a pleasure to play - keep it up grounds crew! I'm looking forward to many more rounds at Toad Valley in the near future and also the Simulator League this Fall!

The course is a nice course, but the workers are extremely rude! After the last hole, I pulled my cart up and parked it as I was waiting for the rest of my group. The man at the cart return screamed at me “Read the sign!!!” which was explaining how to return a cart. I told him I wasn’t quite done yet, I was waiting for some people and he just told to read the sign again and walked away. Then they were very rude about having some younger teens with us even though it was our family reunion! Instead of kindly reminding people of rules, they would say them very aggressively towards us. I couldn’t wait to get out of there!

Played toad yesterday,3.25.20, and it was great! Had the piece of pool noodle in the cup ( for the Corona). It was soft out there but greener then I expected! Nice long course ,driver driver driver. Oh boy, where to begin. Had a wedding a week ago here. Beautiful area, wide open spaces. Venue was an affordable option and had other options included that other venues do not. The lady, Carly, she was very helpful along with most of the other staff. With here, you definitely get what you pay for. The wedding coordinator, Allison, is God awful at her job. I've never been a coordinator for anything but you'd think the number one thing that would help you excel at your job is planning and organization and keeping track of everything. We had to repeatedly over a period of months give her an entire rundown of what we wanted for the wedding and we did not get an estimate until a month before our wedding. She was incredibly difficult to get ahold of, hardly responded to emails, texts, and calls. My wife was very stressed out due to her lack of preparedness and communication. About a month before our wedding, she informed us that she had double booked our wedding. Major screw up. She blamed her assistant and apparently had fired her for her mistake. Seriously doubt it but who knows. She claimed that we would not see the other wedding party, we would not hear from them, nothing. They'd be on the other side of the golf course. Nope. The other wedding party was all over the place, and there was a lot of confused people. Allison made a lot of promises she could not keep. Of course, Allison gave us a measly discount of $300 off but that definitely was not worth all the hassle and trouble we had dealt with. We wanted to change venues but of course, she dropped this on us a month prior to our wedding date so we didn't have time to back out and change our date and invitations and all of that. The wedding went well for the most part but the stress of everything and the dirty looks we received from the other wedding party was just disgusting, like we were the ones crashing their wedding day. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone else. I would give a 0 if I could. DO NOT BOOK YOUR EVENT HERE!

Fun course with lots of challenges. While I don't recall seeing any bunkers, there are plenty of side hill lies and up and down hill approach shots to challenge you.
The greens are excellent. They are quick, but roll very true. Too bad people abuse them by failing to fix ball marks. Fixed an average of 3 on every green.
Accuracy is at a premium. If you stray from the fairways you'll be in heavy woods or lose your ball in thick clover.
Clubhouse and grounds staff were friendly.
Golf is cheap, but anything in the clubhouse definitely is not.
Would play again without question.

They do there best to maintain the grounds on a daily basis so we can enjoy our round of golf. At least that's how it use to be now it's how do we make a buck faster there friendliness has turned into get another on the course and another dollar in my poket good luck even if you reserve a time they just keep pumping people out onto the course so hole 1 is a good 35 min wait with the reservation and once your out there they dont care what's going on from fire to hole one being turned into a putting grounds by 30 kids to if your even still out there they closed up and locked up a hour early leaving me still holding the keys to the golf cart what use to be a respect for there cliential has turned into give me your money and keep moving.

Staff is always friendly. While a busy place you always have plenty of time on the miniature golf course. I take my son here multiple times during the summer. It's one of our favorite destinations. I wish they would install cameras though in order to capture great moments on the course like when I biffed it one time trying to get my sons ball out of the water. It was so funny.
