Iβm very disappointed with my experience at this location. I was planning to book my daughterβs birthday party here. The website said the party price was $295 for up to 20 kids, which sounded great.
I first emailed them but didnβt get a reply, so I decided to drive there after work yesterday to talk in person (during rush-hour traffic with kids). We discussed everything, and they told me I could book online. I shared the date and number of kids, but they never mentioned that online booking has to be done at least two weeks in advance.
When I found out later that day I couldnβt book online, I emailed again, and they told me to come back because they could do it manually. Next day I drove there again, only to be told that the $295 price is actually only for 10 kids, and for 19 kids it would be under $600. That information was never mentioned before when I was there
I felt misled and very disappointed. The staff were polite and said sorry, but this was a big waste of time and energy for me. I really hope they improve their communication and I also wish the staff would pay more attention to one customer at a time β if theyβre busy, they could politely ask to wait instead of doing two things at once. It would make everything more professional and less confusing.

What a fun experience. We went as a family having no experience climbing. We were met with several very friendly and knowledgeable staff members. Nick walked us through our entire trip. He was incredibly helpful! He guided us every step of the way. He even saw a bit of potential in our son and gave him some great tips and tricks. We will definitely be back!! Thanks to Nick and the rest of the team

On par with other climbing places Iβve been, plus they have a place you can top out (climb on top of the bouldering area), which is pretty cool. The bouldering area isnβt huge, but there are a good variety of routes and difficulties. They have a small gym area with a few cardio machines and some grip strength training upstairs. Overall, definitely worth a visit!

I'm kicking off the new year with a renewed focus on climbing and was thrilled to finally check out Bliss Climbing Gym. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff.
A huge shout-out to Leo who conducted my orientation and belay test. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly despite having a busy schedule with back-to-back orientations. Leo conducted each with such positive energy and enthusiasm, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and confident before climbing.
I didn't get much time on the wall during my visit, but the warm welcome and positive atmosphere have me eager to return regularly.
Climb on!"

Good route clean environment friendly community.
Came for the first time and brought my brother in law and paid for his day pass and spent $75 for gear rental not my included.
I brought my own gear harness shoes ECT. And the staff didn't recognize my brand of harness while it may be a little thicker its a high rated petzel climbing harness and came up will a "it's against policy rule for outside harness's to be worn in the gym and everyone must use gym harnesses".
So y'all really had to milk that extra $4+ out of me and had me rent one of there's.
All I know is that next time I come to visit family in ks I'll drive the extra 4+ hrs to go down to different gym simply out of pricible of price gouging.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Place needs a lot of upgrades and cleaning. The fees are high, and the cancelation policy is outrageous. It is all about profit at all cost, not community service as they claim. The workout area is dusty, and lacks basic equipment ( e.g. pull up bar, rowing machine). The holds are prehistoric. New holds are an expensive investment, understandablly. The old owner sold the gym to his kids. There was hope that the new owner will bring the gym to contemporary standards. I am afraid that after this move changes for better will never happen, but only God of Plastic Holds knows.

Had the best time here for birthday party. The set up was easy and unique. But the staff and facility was the best part. They were all so kind, friendly, helpful, amped everyone up, knowledgable, worked well with kids of all ages, they exhibited great patience with a group of 10 year olds. The staff were accommodating throughout the party. Even answering all the questions I had on the phone about details like goodie bag contents and more info about parties beforehand. So that was really helpful for us as we were planning. They have an awesome birthday package!
The party room upstairs fit a fairly large group of us. Everything was timed out perfectly allowing plenty of time for climbing, then 30 mins for cake/presents etc. It was truly unique and an out of box experience for everyone. Watching the kids support each other, over come fears, empower and challenging themselves was awesome. Highly recommend going in groups. The staff made it an even better experience. Thanks Bliss!

Can't say enough about what a friendly, welcoming place Bliss is! My son started in the youth climbing club and loved it. The staff are just so good with the kids! They got to know him by name. I've always felt comfortable leaving him there by himself now that he's old enough, but as a very non-climbing parent I also feel welcome when he wants to show me the route he's working on or the new skill he learned. Bliss has been amazing for him!

Went in today and got my month trial; I was there for part of the instructions and literally they make you feel like you are dumb. This is the first time I had ever tried to do climbing and their actions and how they talk to you is very disrespectful. Thinking that I was going to enjoy my day and it was completely the opposite. I would give them a negative star for sure. What a waste of time

Signed up for monthly classes for my daughter and she enjoyed it. However we spoke to employee at front desk to cancel monthly classes as we had other commitments. We were told we were good. Continued to get charged for several months afterwards (500+ dollars). When we requested a refund they only approved approximately 200 and refused the rest saying we had to sign a document first even though employee said we had done everything necessary to cancel. After several attempts to resolve manager stopped responding to emails and calls. When we tried to meet in person owner threatened us with legal action. Unethical business and would recommend avoiding.

In town for work and wanted to come climb, so this was the place to be.
Pros:
Decently tough routes, good variety
Everything clearly labeled
Gym is very clean
Free mouthwash in the bathrooms (I'm not kidding, single serve mouthwash dispenser)
Cons:
Gym is small
Bouldering area is TINY
Some masochistic route setter used red and pink on adjacent routes, as detailed in the picture.
Neutral observation: walls have no volumes. Slab and overhang exist, and maybe it was just the sets that were up, but you normally see at least ONE somewhere...

If you're coming from the west coast, be prepared. A V3 can feel like a V4 in California. Midwest gyms are generally more technically demanding while the "puzzle" aspect is the same. Still very satisfying. ABS routes were fair when comparing to routes at other gyms. Quick run through by staff to get my friend and me started fast.

I climb there on a regular basis and have never had anything bad happen, never disgusted, never felt excluded, never not wanted to go. The staff there is amazing, and they are so nice and will answer questions nicely and quickly if asked. The boulder room has a variety of styles and different ratings with fun holds and fun routes. That goes for the rope room as well. They have a gym upstairs that is pretty nice. And there are moon board is good as well. Overall, this place is a five stars and an amazing place to climb. Recently did a group climb with my sisters. We were all beginners being brave, facing our fears and trying something new. Kate and Brett were our instructors/belayers and it was such a positive experience! We felt safe, encouraged and accepted as beginners. A fun, but expensive adventure. If you're only going once and you're not a seasoned rock climber with shoes, harness, etc... be prepared to spend a lot. For 3 people it costed nearly $100 for admission and gear. The sad part was, we were so spent physically we couldn't last more than a few hours. If you were prepared to, no one stopped you from just hanging out for as long as you want, though. So to get your money's worth, stay, rest, and then climb some more. The experience was really cool. Even my 8 year old was able to get harnessed up and climb as high as he wanted, and the walls go 40 feet high. After a short course on how to operate an "auto-belay" from one of the friendly staff members, you're on your way. If you don't mind shelling out the dough, and your ready for a workout, I'd recommend the trip.

It is ridiculously over-priced for the memberships ($100 a month) and daily visits ($17+, not including rentals). They offer classes, and they have updated routes (5.7 - 5.12) fairly often. Some of their routes (5.10a) are not accurate to their difficulty, but most of the routes are accurate and will help you develop your skills in top rope and bouldering. You can purchase gear (shoes, belts, rope, chalk, carabiners, ATC, and more) in store as well.

I visited Bliss Climbing and Fitness yesterday, 8/8. I mentioned that I only wanted to boulder and would not be climbing any of the sport routes. Also I was only visiting for one day and would not be returning. They still required me to put on a harness and go through their auto-belay orientation as well as general rules about sport climbing in the gym. This was a complete waste of my time as I would not be using this part of the facility at all. Also the size of the bouldering area is very small and the density of boulder problems could be higher. I would not use this facility if you are interested in bouldering.

In town for a few days with my son from AZ and were looking for some local indoor climbing to have fun and stay out of the heat. The staff member DJ was Very accommodating because we kept asking for smaller and smaller shoe sizes until we felt like we had the right ones. Sorry, we climbed before and light tight shoes :)
The routes were good but we primarily like to boulder so we hit up their cave. The problems were fun but in AZ the gyms there sets more βtrueβ to outdoor climbs so Blissβs ratings were soft. There is nothing wrong with that! I understand why gyms rate soft, just letting others know that understand what I mean. Anyway, there is also a lot more potential to throw up more problems on the wall and it would be great to have had more options for bouldering.
We loved Bliss and will definitely be back to climb again!

Finally able to stop by this gym after being in Wichita for work. Didnβt know what to expect from a Wichita climbing gym, but this place exceeded most of my expectations. Staff was great, clean facility. I was solo so didnβt do any ropes so Iβm just speaking from a bouldering perspective. I Was not a fan of the bouldering area but I guess they did what they could given the space. The ropes looked great though. For the bouldering, the problems were very well set and they utilized the angles of the wall very well. The nature of the walls does not lend itself to difficult problems however. Luckily there was a moonboard upstairs in the training room that always provides a challenge. Next time Iβm in Wichita Iβd definitely be back.

We were visiting from Boulder, CO and hoping to climb with local family friends. We were unable to all climb together as two of the children were too young (4yrs). There wasnβt any mention of an age limit on the website nor during the registration process. It wasnβt till we were ready to pay that we found out. The staff seemed friendly and the gym seemed tidy but they could benefit from some web/process/policy review. I think young children would benefit from being able to participate.

We highly recommend Bliss! We had friends of ours introduce us to climbing and extended an invitation to climb at Bliss. I am terrified of heights, but my husband and kids were very excited to try it out. I went thinking I would just watch, but decided to at least get one foot off the ground. The staff were (and always are) very friendly and explained everything. Nobody pushed me out of my comfort zone and they encouraged the kids. I didn't get far, but the rest of my family shot up the walls on the auto belay routes. It is a fun family outing for us. We have been back a few times with the family. My husband and I had a date night and took the belay course. My kids love love love the summer camps. I cannot praise them enough for their summer camps and all they teach the kids, besides climbing! I usually take a couple of afternoons during camp to climb as well. It's an amazing work out! After over a year of only getting feet off the ground, I made it all the way up to the top. I say this because I want others with the same fear to at least give it a try!

This review is purely about the routes and the setting. I found the routes lacked mental challenge. They felt sloppy and looked sloppy. Good setting isn't about zig zagging a route. The vectors were all wrong on the easy routes I tried, I wasn't about to mess up my body on anything hard because of poor setting. This is an example of a V1 in bouldering. Ridiculous. I wish I could take a picture of one of the auto belay routes, 5.7 that follows one side of wall then has a 4' gap to the complete opposite side of the wall. I am not about to Dyno on a 5.7. I bought an unlimited month I don't even know if I'll go back. Pretty disappointed.

We had a really great experience with The climbing instructor but not so much when calling with questions and talking with the girls at the front desk.

Great staff! Decent routes, not sure if I'm out of shape or if the routes are harder than where I used to go though.

Best place to get fit. If i lived in Wichita i would get a membership in an instant, and be there every day of the week. Great selection if routes for every level of climber, and a great staff working there to.

Great for new climbers and experienced. They offer a orientation to first timers, showing you how to use some of the equipment, including their automatic belay. You can sign up for classes, including intro courses or belaying courses. They have a bouldering wall and a small fitness center. Staff is great and easy to talk to and ask questions. You can rent equipment from them or bring/buy your own. They have day passes or monthly memberships. Overall there is something for everyone, including the kids! Burns off some of that excess energy in a safe way! Loved it, would highly recommend.

Our kids go and get exhausted and think about nothing but climbing for a while, whenever they have a spare hour.

The climbing options are by far the best in Wichita, but the pricing is a little high to keep going back.
