I’ve been working out at BFT for the last 3 months and I love it there! There is a great community and the trainers are amazing. The workouts change daily and include cardio, weights and a wide variety of exercises. I would highly recommended this gym!

I came to BFT when it opened because I knew Eric was an excellent coach and I haven’t left! Yes, the quality coaching has kept me here but there is a lot that I have come to love in addition like the community of encouragement vs competition or intimidation, the ability to progress in strength and have variety in movements, the atmosphere of energy yet not anxiety over not knowing how to do a move. They go over the plan at the start and ensure all feel comfortable and they coach on form individually. It’s small enough to be personalized but big enough to be motivated by the group- it’s just right!

BFT provides an excellent holistic training program from weights and strength training to stability and mobility to three different types of cardio sessions. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and are there to help ensure that every single person maximizes their experience. I have done a variety of gyms and programs over my years and this by far is the best overall Jim and fitness program around.

I’ve been going to BFT for a few months and it’s been the BEST experience. The coaches go above and beyond to ensure you continue to grow and push you to step out of your comfort zone. 6 month update:
It’s been 3 months since my first review and now 6 months since I joined BFT and I enjoy it more every week! I continue to improve my strength and overall fitness. The trainers truly provide great instruction and feedback that is tailored to my needs and goals. Plus, it’s such a great community of people that keep me motivated and encourage me to push myself to the next level!
Joining body fit training 3 months ago was the best decision I’ve made for my fitness in years! After working out at home for the past 5 years, I didn’t realize how much I was missing until I stepped into this gym. The workouts are dynamic, challenging, and incredibly well structured. Every session pushes me in the best way possible. The coaches are knowledgeable and motivating, and the community vibe makes it easy to stay committed. I’ve seen real progress in my strength, endurance, and overall fitness. I highly recommend BFT to anyone ready to level-up their fitness game!

I’ve been going to BFT for just 3 months and I’ve already lost 16 lbs and 4% body fat — and honestly, I’ve never experienced anything like this before. The first month I was trying to adjust to the new program. The last 2 months I have really focused and started tracking my progress. I definitely believe in their program and believe it works if you commit.
The coaches are incredible, especially Eric and Michael. Any time I have a question, they don’t just give a quick answer—they break down the why behind what we’re doing. Their scientific, thoughtful explanations really click with how my brain works, and it makes me feel empowered during every workout.
The community here is unmatched. I’ve been a member of several gyms and group fitness classes, and this is the first time it’s truly felt like a community. The members are welcoming, motivating, and supportive.
I’ve also had personal trainers in the past, and I’m genuinely getting more out of these classes than I did with one-on-one training—at a fraction of the cost.
If you’re looking for a program that combines knowledgeable coaching, real results, and a strong sense of community, BFT is it. Highly recommend!

Visited Body Fit Training Overland Park while in town from Texas and had a great experience! The trainers were super helpful and took the time to explain everything clearly. I really appreciated getting the InBody scan to check my body composition.Eric was especially knowledgeable and gave me great tips on how to reach my fitness goals. Tony was incredibly nice, encouraging, and welcoming. Loved the quick 50-minute sessions—efficient and effective. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a solid workout with a supportive team!

I love the format of this gym! The workouts are well-structured with a great balance of strength training and cardio. The trainers: I have never had this much fun lifting weights. The support of the trainers is fabulous... from encouragement, to helping improve form, to celebrating wins. It's like having a one-on-one personal trainer, while also surrounded by friends and all kinds of positive energy. I have been working out at BFT for a month and I have already realized so much gain in strength. My very favorite trainers are Adam, Michael and Eric. They encourage me to push for my best, while keeping me within ranges of safety.
The classes: BFT offers various strength, HIIT, and cardio classes. My favorites are the strength/power classes and they mix up the work-outs with a variety of exercises so it's possible to take classes multiple times per week without duplication. BFT classes have taught me how to vary even the basic movements to challenge my body in other ways. As an example, we did three different styles of dead lifts today that each added a different benefit. These classes NEVER get boring. 50 minutes flies by so quickly and I can hardly wait for my next work-out.
The schedule: If you've been part of this type of gym before, you may have experienced the frustration of scheduling. With some, you need to schedule days (or even weeks) in advance, and if your schedule changes a day or two before and you want to change your class time, you go on a wait list, hold open your schedule, and hope that you get added to the class. I have never had that happen with BFT. Classes have always been available, and I don't have to create my schedule a week in advance. The convenience of that flexibility ensures that I can always get to a work-out.
The equipment: BFT has a great variety of equipment that includes all the basics, as well as some fancy stuff. The equipment, and the facility itself, are clean, maintained, and in good shape.
The extras: If desired, they measure body fat and muscle, even to the point of measuring on each arm and leg. Your strength is measured regularly so it's fun to see the improvements and strength gains as they happen. They have optional ongoing 8-week challenges, some that include creating a diet (based around your eating habits so they will adjust for vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.), designing a shopping list, and working to keep you accountable on both your diet and activity. The 8-week challenges have an additional fee, but they also have prize money to motivate.
The vibe: One of my favorite things about this gym is how all levels of fitness work so effectively together within the program. Some clients are brand new to fitness and some are seasoned gym rats, but regardless of the level of strength and experience around me, we all feel like a team. I would like to think that all BFT locations have this culture, but I tend to believe that much of it is modeled by the attitude and energy of the trainers (specifically my favorites, Adam, Michael, and Eric) If you've been to more than a few gyms, you probably know of "judgement-free" gyms that don't feel judgement free at all. I can't adequately explain the positive energy and encouraging atmosphere here. It's something you really need to experience to understand.

I'm a woman who thrives more in a group fitness setting.Now that I'm closing in on 50, I needed to incorporate heavier weights and train smarter with the cardio. This is the first place that has a perfect blend of cardio and barbell weights (with plenty of instruction and encouragement from instructors) like personal training but way more fun and more cost effective. The instructors are so welcoming and have helped me maximise my workouts while also preventing injury. I've become so much stronger since joining. The owners and instructors are amazing too!

Absolutely love it here and would give it 10/10!! Everyday the workouts are different, which is wonderful for meeting my fitness goals. I have worked out for decades and nothing is like this workout. It is like a group class but personal training in one. I am building muscle, leaning out, feeling stronger! Love the motivation of this fitness community too! It’s a beautiful, clean facility with amazing coaches.
