This review is going to be long. But I do have a lot to say! Burn Boot Camp OP had been the only gym I had been going to on and off since 2018. I tried trials of other places, but Burn stayed at the top. Between a weight loss journey and 2 kids, I kept coming back to it. It was the only form of workout I truly enjoyed. I loved the variety of workouts and the trainers had always been so great and supportive. The environment is uplifting too. I have never felt any judgement at all. I was able to pause my membership during my pregnancies, postpartum, and Ramadan. It was exactly what I wanted and needed from a gym!
Within the last 6-7 months, there had been some significant changes, and there are 3 main reasons why I won’t be returning, despite everything positive about the gym.
1. I come to the gym to workout and not be recorded. I personally do not dress outside the gym the same way when I am in the gym. It’s a very personal and also religious thing. It had never been an issue until the last 6-7 months. I had been posted 3 times in one week, I was extremely upset and talked to the owner about it. She was very kind and assured me it would not happen again. Which I understand, mistakes do happen. Especially since the gym was going through some changes, I tried to give a little bit of grace when it happened. She promptly removed the video (which were both on the feed and stories.) I confirmed with her that the note from 2018 was still in my profile, and she did say it was. I said I understood but this cannot happen again, asserting that is a personal and religious thing. Unfortunately it happened 2 more times after that. The 4th time, I did mention it to the owner, which was taken down again. But the 5th time, frankly I just let it go because I was too tired honestly of bringing it back up. I also did not want to be annoying, even though I know it’s my right to be assertive about this. I was just tired at this point about it. The no photography request been in my account since 2018 and stated that I do not want to be photographed in any way (unless explicit permission is given). It’s been honestly a little hard for me to focus on workouts when the camera pops out, and I am making myself move out of the way, which again I never felt like I needed to do before. I feel like I should not have to constantly be on the lookout for a camera when I am trying to focus on my workout. And while I understand mistakes happen and things can be overlooked, 5 times is a lot, in the span of 5 months.
2. I had always RAVED to my friends about Burn and how they give you 7 days to try them out and how that’s such a perfect range of time to try a gym out before committing. However, recently I learned that is not the case anymore. My sister was visiting over her Easter break and wanted to try the gym out the 2-3 days she was around, but I was told that the trial is now just 1 day. I find that kind of baffling. Had I been in a position to make a decision after one workout, there is a very real chance I would not come back. If I came on an intense cardio day, I definitely would be like this isn’t for me, or if I came on an arm day, I would be very confused if this is how focused everyday would be. To me it definitely takes at least 3 days to figure out the Burn regimen, which is why 7 days was amazing! I’m not sure why this shift has happened.
3. I LOVED that back in 2018 and a few years after that there were specific female only classes. It was one of the MAIN reasons I joined Burn. It was a very appealing aspect to me to have classes with only women, and it catered to us specifically, despite athletic levels. When I signed back up in 2024, I was told that those female only classes are gone now (Not sure if this was a nationwide shift or just at this location.) But I was told that certain AM classes do tend to have just women. I mostly attended the 8:30am class and that 99% of the time is female only, so it wasn’t a huge factor in my decision when signing my most recent 6mo contract, but it is a reason why I won’t be resigning.

Burn Bootcamp- OP is the best gym I’ve ever been apart of. I’ve been a member for 2 years now and every time I show up, it's the same community filled with encouragement, high fives, support , and the belief that anything’s possible. During these 2 years, I’ve surprised myself with so many “first” accomplishments that at one point appeared impossible prior to becoming a Burn member. There’s so many great things about this gym. The trainers are great, EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM! Come excited or even nervous, walk out feeling great, believing, and proud of completing the camp!

I started Burn boot camp at 15 years old and I fell in love with it and I have been there for almost two years now! It is such a fun way to work out especially because I love working out with others and hearing the music motivates me to push harder. Burn is a great place if you have limited time. You can be in and out in 45 min. The trainers are amazing and will push you each workout. If you need modifications they always demonstrate those movements as well. I've enjoyed the the time I've been at Burn and the community is great.
They do provide child watch, but only during select classes.
If you're on the fence you can always trial a class out.

Two claps and five stars! Best gym I've ever been a part of. The trainers and staff are kind and motivating and genuinely want you to reach your goals. The workouts truly allow you to do that - in addition to some fun clinics and challenges that push you even further. I've been a member for a few years, and even after having to take some time off due to health reasons, they were so welcoming when I came back it felt like I didn't miss a beat.

I've been going to Burn Boot Camp Overland Park for almost 3 years now, and it's been an amazing experience! The workouts are always challenging and motivating, and the 5 AM group is fantastic. I have been working out there for a week and I would say that it has an extremely positive vibe. The people are so nice and supportive. They love what they do and the sets are never boring. There is a good mix of cardio and strength which is great! Also they have trainer classes to help with focused training as well as individual goals!

I've been coming to Burn Bootcamp for 6 weeks now, and it has been a wonderful experience. Kyle does a great job of fostering a welcoming & supportive community and the workouts are challenging. As a parent who looks for ways to get out of the house, the child care provided is excellent. The care givers and friendly and you can tell they care. Can't recommend this location enough for parents looking to get a workout in and have a bit of time to themselves.

I love Burn Boot Camp. It’s 45 minutes, 6 days a week that I get to myself as a stay at home mom. It gives me a mental & physical reset/reboot for the day and it gives my kiddos a safe and fun place to play. I’m challenged by the workouts, and while they are done in a group setting, they are also tailored to my specific needs. The staff is friendly and incredibly welcoming. If you’re on the fence about it, give it a try and see how it can positively impact your day and routine!

I cannot express how much I love Burn Boot Camp! I have been working out for over 5-1/2 years and have never been so committed to my health and work outs. Love the 1-on-1 trainer experience along with the group setting. You are ALWAYS greeted when you come in with a high five by the trainer and Burn Assistant. You feel a part of a community and such encouragement, not only from the trainer, but the whole group. Everyone working out not only gives high fives, but always motivating each other. Every day the camp is different, we are either working in strength, cardio out a mix of both. You can push yourself as hard as YOU want. You are the machine and you will be surprised how incredibly strong you are! It’s a clean, welcoming, bright and FUN place to be!!! Owners and staff are excellent! Do this for YOU! Now!!!!

This place is an extension of my own home. Mostly because I’m there almost every day of the week. In all the motherhood seasons I’ve been able to exercise alongside wonderful people. We grow together, and challenge one another to be better than yesterday. The coaches are very intentional with workouts, and so helpful. Definitely recommend getting your foot in the door!

Highly recommend Burn Bootcamp! The trainers are awesome and always demonstrate modifications and push you to progressions. It really is a friendly gym atmosphere with high fives all around! I’ve been a member of Burn Boot Camp Overland Park since 2018, and it has completely changed my fitness journey. The 45-minute workouts are effective, and the noon camp time fits perfectly with my work schedule.
The community is inclusive and supportive, no matter your fitness level or age! The head trainer, Danielle, is amazing — she’s motivating, believes in you, and always focuses on proper form to prevent injury. Her encouragement pushes me to do my best every time.

This is the only work-out I have ever been able to stick to doing consistently. It’s a friendly atmosphere and I appreciate that the trainers will help push you but also give you the space to modify and go at your own pace. I love the variety of workouts and the music is always awesome! I also really like the Universal Membership. When I am traveling, I can almost always find a camp nearby. Since I have been going to Burn, I have lost s ton of fat, gained a significant amount of muscle and it has helped improve my overall well-being.

I’ve been going for a month and I love it. I have never done a group workout before so I was hesitant, but everyone is really amazing and I have never felt uncomfortable. I appreciate that the trainer comes around and will give you one on one instruction/support, it really makes the workout feel effective vs when I go to a gym and I’m never sure if I’m doing anything correctly. 10/10 recommend!

I absolutely LOVE burn bootcamp! I was so nervous to try it out as group workouts scare me a little. 🤪 I tried out the 7 day trial and instantly fell in love! I was greeted and felt as if I belonged the second I walked in! After the trial was up, I signed up for their longest package (18 months) because I knew this was a place I wanted to be.
All the women there to workout have all different goals but you don’t feel out of place at all. Each workout is explained perfectly, and if you need help, the trainers are very willing to help! They’re also always watching and will let you know when it’s time to up your weight!
They have incredible resources as well! One being their focus meetings. You sign up for a 15 meeting before or after your workout where you can set goals, talk about nutrition or have any questions you need answered. Second is their free child watch services! My daughter absolutely LOVES going “to the gym” where she gets to play while mommy works out! She runs in and doesn’t look back. The staff always remembers her and makes her feel welcome! I can’t tell you how many times Ive gone to workout not because I was feeling it, but I knew my daughter would be disappointed if we didn’t go. 😂
So long story short, if you’re looking for a gym where you will get a great workout, not feel out of place, and need childcare? YOU JUST FOUND IT! See you soon!

Pre covid I did a 6 week program at burn and lost just about 4 inches off my waist! I moved away but choose to make the 30 minute drive everyday and now for my up coming wedding I have had to get my dress altered three times because I keep losing snd toning so much. Love the environment and all of the staff!

It was really hard cuz I didn't know it was leg day, but I had a great time. Anytime I started to struggle I got nothing but encouragement. If I wasn't able to do the exercise because of my knees the trainer found an exercise that was easier for me to do, but gives similar results! They have child care so I can take an afternoon class without having to find a sitter! 10/10 would recommend going! I'm definitely gonna keep going to finish my trial and talk about membership!!! My face looks like I'm in pain, but I was just catching my breath lol it was a great sweat! #DontForgetATowel

I love this place. Just started the beginning of January for the 6 week camp and I'm going to purchase a membership!! every day and week is different and keeps me motivated! Going to the gym has always been so hard for me because i get distracted so easily and then trying to work the machines is a whole different story but Burn has everything set UP And ready for you! you just show and they do the rest!
