Owner stopped caring about the weight room once PT associates moved in. Cardio area is okay with 8 or so treadmills, a few ellipticals, and two stair climbers. It's an improvement if you have used the local Genesis. It ranks 2nd in emporia in terms of weight equipment.

If it weren't for the music, they'd probably be getting 5 stars. They consistently play a very loud speaker right next to the squat racks at all times. So if you'd like to hit legs, be prepared to listen to whatever hip hop/pop they play, because it's loud enough it's going straight through your headphones.

My Doctor sent me for help with maintaining my posture. With arthritis in my back I need to work against its affects. The staff at Emporia Fitness were quite helpful providing exercises to add to our current walking and weight routine. They identified areas we were missing and showed us techniques that were effective and easy to add.

To many self check outs. Not enough checkers. No one on the floor to help you. Walmart in general, sucks. Don't keep shelves stocked. If something in grocery is new and you like it you can't get it again. Poor customer service π

I love this gym. Workers are very humble, kind, and helpful. They are straightforward with their prices and don't hide anything like Genesis. I would highly recommend for people who want to work out but don't want to be tied to a contract. I'm still getting annoying calls from Genesis even after I told them I'm not interested. Love this place. It's a great atmosphere and they have enough machines and equipment for your needs.

$5.50 for a day pass. This is not a gym I would recommend to a body builder or anyone serous about getting a proper workout. The day pass price was definitely a great price but what you get is sub par. This facility is more focused in rehabilitation for elderly, cardio, and basic weights.

I've worked out in gyms all over the USA.
Emporia gym is in par with Frogs in Solana Beach and Gold's gym in Huntington Beach.
It's clean and well equipped.
Everyone seems to take their workouts seriously, laid back vibe.

I have a membership here and don't regret it. They have nice discounts if you're a student,couple..etc for a membership. The facility is clean and you have a lot of space. My only little gripe is some of the dumbbells need some work..ie rubber chipping off in chunks, bent bars. Some new weights would definitely make it a 5 star gym. Most of the machines are seperate from free weights which I personally like. They have plenty of treadmills, elipticals & 2 stair climbers. They also have a day care for kids if you're someone going after work and have a little human with you. Stop in and check it out

The employees are very nice and welcoming. Gym equipment is ample and the facility is not usually very busy. I like the showers and gym lockers that are available. The smoothies are delicious and not overly priced.
