I love working out here it has everything you need. It has all the equipment you need to get a good workout. They also have a plethora of classes that you can take if you don't know what to do but want to get active. I love to take the core class that goes into rock bottoms. The staff here is so amazing. I feel so comfortable leaving my child in the daycare because I know the ladies there treat him like their own child, and actually care that I get time to workout. Chaz the manger always checks in, and the other staff members are always sweet and friendly. There are so many other amenities that they have that I'm surely forgetting, but if you're looking for a laid back environment to get your workout on then this is definitely the place!

Our trainer Keelan is amazing! He is so thorough when explaining the exercises and he truly cares about the form of the workout to insure you don’t hurt yourself. Switching to Genesis has been great! Used to workout at Crunch but the crowds were too much and Genesis gives not only space to workout but you get access to machines that you won’t find elsewhere. Only complaint I have had is that the South location is only open until 10 instead of 11 like the North location during the week but that’s fine because you can drive to the other location if needed. I joined the South location in January of this year. My member experience has been stellar! The club staff are excellent. Scott is the Personal Trainer I have been working with and he is superb. He is extremely knowledgeable and exceptionally competent and has developed a customized a workout program that is challenging, fun, and appropriate for me. The South Club has a 'vibe' that is a wonderful blend of "mellow and intimate" among the staff and patrons yet at the same time, there's no doubt about how seriously the team there takes health and fitness!

Beware: Just had my car broken into at this location. What is amazing is the police officer said they have been called to this location for 8 cars broken into once. AND, their security footage is grainy and worthless! This organization should be responsible for continuing theft happening in their parking lot and NOT upgrading their video surveillance. Based on reviews, I was very hesitant about joining Genesis. I took a chance on the south location since there are so many bad reviews about Chaz. First, let me say, Andre and Scott are just great. Unfortunately, Noah (the manager) is unprofessional and irresponsible. He would not return my phone call even though he was there. Next, he agreed to meet with my husband. My husband arrived at the scheduled time but, Noah decided to disappear to Hy-Vee for a snack and left him to wait. After about 30 minutes, my husband noticed that Noah had come in through the back door and was sitting in his office. Leaving him still waiting. Noah just smirked when it was mentioned that it is unprofessional and irresponsible to set an appointment and then leave. Andre and Scott are lovely. Too bad Noah had to ruin it for them. I'm going out in a limb here, but I don't think Genesis really cares. Otherwise, I think there would have been measures taken to address the problem. Cancelled due only to Noah's behavior.

This Genesis health club (South Lawrence location) has been perfect for our needs. My wife and I come multiple times a week. Their kids club is a great space with trustworthy workers that we can leave our son in their care while we workout. The workers are very kind and attentive. The space is VERY CLEAN. the genesis gym all together is a great atmosphere, however do not sign up for anything to do with the tennis. the main director Whitney, i think is her name, is a total, you know what. she abuses her power and it’s pretty obvious. we were told we could play tennis outside for free, and we were told we could go in and borrow their rackets. she stormed out and started yelling that they’ve been looking for those rackets for 30 minutes (when we had been out there for literally two minutes lol). instead of asking politely to give her the rackets. and this isn’t the first awful experience we have encountered with her. i would recommend staying miles away from the tennis courts and anything to do with her. if i could give it zero stars i would. some higher management needs to sit down with her and talk about this extremely unprofessional behavior. not sure how she has a job. cause i can guarantee you with how she treats people she wouldn’t have a job anywhere else.

I’ve been wanting to switch gyms but I had issues finding a place where I felt comfortable. Nick showed me that Genesis welcomes everyone equally and now I will be forever loyal to Genesis Health Clubs thanks to him.

Genisis south treated me very well during my visit, I had a chest workout with a friend. All the equipment was well maintained and operated perfectly. I recommend everyone come visit Genisis south!
