Played a tournament there recently. Love the course! Plenty of challenging holes. Much more undulating than I was expecting. Bar staff was great, along with the hosts of the tournament. Will definitely be playing there again soon.

To whoever is in charge of the gym at Great Life Golf and Fitness,

I write this review, coming from a member of this facility, as a form of constructive criticism that I feel desperately needs to be said regarding the gym facility. Instead of posting an excessive amount of signs (counted 18 at the time of writing this) that come across as defensive, petty, sarcastic, childish, and extremely unprofessional, here is a list of things Great Life could try instead:

1. Raise the member age to 18+ or 21+.
2. Have someone sit in front of the gym to watch anyone who may step out of line.
3. Quit worrying about enforcing rules so much/lighten up. Most of the members are of the age where they will do whatever they want regardless of the rules, most of the members are high school and college age (see no. 1). The more rules you have, the more time they get broken.
4. Contact the members personally (text, call, email, in person, etc) and let them know their wrongdoings.
5. Change gym hours. If being a 24/7 gym is a problem, cut it down. (Sugg. 5 am-10 pm)
6. Close the gym, if it is that much of a hassle.

As a long time member of this gym, it really is unfortunate to see such a decline in management. Great life used to be a well run, fun, clean facility that I could depend on, but because of a poorly run management team who doesn't know how to (or often feels like they dont want to) deal with its members and is far more focused on making money and keeping everyone in line, which is an impossible task.

Please, have rules. Everyone has them. We need them, but if Great Life is going to be open to having younger members here, then the company has to be open to their mannerisms, nuances, and atmosphere. The amount that Great Life is charging for a gym membership is not enough to warrant such passive agreement behavior from the management staff, which is, again, defensive, sarcastic, petty, childish, and extremely unprofessional.

Another example is the sign by the card scanner that say, and I quote, "I have plenty of GOOD PAYING members!! I do NOT NEED YOU!!!". If having this attitude is the direct approach to handling problems, then maybe having a gym/ fitness facility shouldn't be an interest of Great Life.

Seeing how this management team is running this gym is gross and heartbreaking to the point where the company will lose rule following members, myself included. I hope that someone will consider this message and take it into account as a way of helping this gym. If you disregard this message, then I wish you the best of luck and I, along with many others, will move on from this company due to lack of management skills.

It’s a great value. The crew there are very friendly and it is a great place to have a party. I really enjoy playing with the seniors on Tuesdays. Very down to earth group. The gym has free weights and machines, steam room and sauna. I highly recommend!

Cleanest gym in all of Kansas and most definitely Salina! Whoever the cleaning person is left the facility spotless! Worth every penny—give them a raise! Feels like a luxurious gym and smells wonderful!

Contract was very misleading. Signed up for the bi-weekly gym membership and tried to cancel when I moved towns, they would not cancel my membership and said that I had to pay for an additional six months to cancel. They would not work with me or do anything to help. They would not even reply to my email. Very misleading.

I love how challenging the course is for a beginner like me. It is also very fun and exciting with all the hills. So make sure you get a cart. The course is also very enjoyable for experienced golfers as well. Family-friendly pool in the summertime.
