About the Club

KCFITCLUB of Overland Park, Ks offers personal training in a private studio. Personal training services include meal planning and additional online coaching. Chad Derowitsch who is both the owner and trainer can help you with weight loss, sports performance, bodybuilding, and most other health and wellness goals. KCFITCLUB also offers nutritional supplements and nutrition coaching. Chad can work with those who are in the KC metro area or anywhere via online coaching. Six months have flown by since I started working out with Chad, and I’m constantly amazed that the person in the mirror—those muscles, wow!—is actually me. The big looming 5-0 doesn’t seem so scary anymore. I can handle so much more, so much easier now: snow shoveling? Easy-peasy! Hauling countless wheelbarrows of compost to the garden? No sweat (okay, maybe a little sweat)! Moving into the second half of life? Bring it on! I've been working with Chad for about 10 months. Chad's workouts include a solid fifty-five minutes of stretch, strength, and cardio. I'm 57 and find Chad's customized approach to what works for my body, while still pushing it, to be quite refreshing! I had shoulder surgery in my twenties and as an adult, it can (and does) be problematic in my workouts. Chad has modified my upper body workouts accordingly and I have much more strength and flexibility in my shoulder than I've had in years! I came to Chad after 3 years of running/working out on my own. I played soccer at a D1 school and so had pretty decent knowledge of what I needed to do/technique to workout however I was feeling frustrated that my fitness had plateaued - its a lot harder to do it w/o someone there to push you, ya know :). I knew I needed to have someone who could push me and give me a different training to my routine. I was hesitant/unwilling to pay for a gym membership, as I wouldn't have the responsibility to show up, plus I am not a fan of crowds so I knew a one on one was what I was needing. So I looked up trainers in the KC area and Chad was by far the highest/best rated trainer (bonus pts I lived near the studio). So I called Chad and setup a meeting with him. Since Chad had mentioned about offering couples training session, I convinced my best friend (who didn't have much experience in lifting) to come join me!! And let me tell you, Chad was the perfect for both of us. He customized my training every session to keep things interesting and challenging for me. Additionally he was able to keep up with my energy and also match/customize the training for my best friend as well! We both loved going to our training sessions and definitely saw improvement of our fitness! Chad has a great personality and it's easy to stay engaged, motivated, and accountable while working with him. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Several weeks ago, I set out to find a personal training for my wife and me.
We had both gained a considerable amount of weight over the years and we needed something to give us a kickstart to becoming healthy again.

My wife had received knee surgery a year or two earlier, so I knew if we were going to do this I had to find the right trainer.

After carefully reading reviews I decided to give Chad a call and scheduled an interview.
During the interview the first thing I noticed was Chad’s attentive nature. He asked questions about our fitness goals and most importantly he listened.
The initial workouts were slow, steady and carefully measured which was exactly what we needed.

Each week the training becomes a little more challenging but never to a point where were in pain after the session.

I believe we’re on week twelve of our workouts and I could not be happier with our success. We receive compliments on our appearance almost weekly and It’s become harder to find clothes in our closet that fit anymore. 😊

I never would have thought I would want or need to use a personal training to get into shape.

I was in the military for 10 years and this has been by far the best experience I could have imagined.

I had knee surgery 2 years ago and haven’t fully trusted my knee since. My hubby and I have been seeing Chad for 8 weeks now. I’ve nicknamed him “The Sadist”, to which he replies “Thank you and you’re welcome”. lol I went to a week long conference in a convention center that is 2.1 MILLION square feet. Lots and lots of walking, up and down stairs, catwalks, and start/stops on a dime (40 thousand people at the convention!). There was absolutely no way I would have survived all that walking at the convention without all the strength training Chad provided. Chad, THANK YOU!

Chad is great to work with. He is very flexible with my constantly changing work schedule and never gets irritated with me (that I know of). I've seen much more defined results in my weight loss and strength than with other trainers I have worked with mainly because of how Chad has pushed me. The whole workout is one big superset without breaks and no tears are allowed. If you can't do a workout because of a body limitation, that is one thing that Chad will adapt around, but if the reasons are because of muscle fatigue or strength limitations - Chad will push you right on through it. Your first workouts will kick your butt, but if you remain consistent - Chad will have your reaching your current goals and making new ones in no time.

After your workouts, his Herbalife co-workers are more than happy to set you up with a protein shake, a fat burning tea and a shot of aloe. Initially, I didn't want to drop the extra $7, but I quickly found the holes in my diet plan and learned I wasn't getting the results I wanted as quickly as I wanted them. I just made sense to spend the $7, get the boost of protein after my workout and leave with a happy gut. The less I have to worry about hitting my protein goal - the better. This has really helped bring my weight loss and strength training plan together. Chad works with you to develop the best nutrition plan for you goals and helps you achieve them with weekly check-ins and conversations.

I have been working with Chad for a few months now. His philosophy was different from other trainers I had in the past. Instead of pushing for 3 or 4 sessions per week, he recommended a twice a week schedule which worked much better for me. I have been able to maintain the twice a week schedule on a consistent basis although I travel for my job and have work conflicts. His workouts introduced me to a lot more weight lifting and flexibility training than I had been used to. My balance and flexibility have greatly improved. I am now bench pressing 95 lbs and building muscle in just a few months. Chad has been instrumental in not only providing a comprehensive and effective workout program, but in substantially changing my diet. As a result of this total fitness program, I have lost 25 lbs. and dropped from wearing size large to wearing medium. I am a woman who has struggled with her weight since the age of 13. As you can imagine I have tried just about every diet out there. Earlier this year I came in contact with Chad. He has helped me not only physically but mentally as well. I am not as consumed with the scale as I used to be. I have learned so much about my health and nutrition and I feel better than I have in years! He encouraged me to do a Body Transformation Challenge and me being the competitive person that I am took that challenge. Not to compete against my unknown competitors but to compete against my old self. The challenge is over and the results are in but, that hasn’t stopped me from continuing my path to a healthier me. I've used Chad's personal training services for about half a year now, several times a week. I have been very impressed at the depth of his knowledge that allows him to select exercises that will work for you. What I mean by that is, say you have a bad knee, Chad will work with you to get the right exercise regimen that doesn't further hurt the knee but that will help you strengthen the knee so overall it becomes less of a problem.
Chad is very personable and professional while always on the alert to correct bad form - he believes in safety at all times while training. Every question I have asked him, whether it was diet, health or exercise techniques was answered completely in a clear and concise fashion.
I look forward to many more healthy years with Chad as a trainer and friend.

For months I have been going twice a week to Chad's weekday morning fitness classes. Chad does a great job---he challenges us but also listens to each person and modifies each exercise for each person's level or physical issues. I can absolutely tell a difference in my core strength and general daily functioning. Chad always encourages us to do what we can and do more when we can. I am not an athlete, but I never feel dumb. The exercises are things I can do even when I travel, as they take no special equipment, so I feel I am learning ways to stay healthy no matter where I am. Chad has done a great job of offering classes that work for everyone, regardless of their current fitness level, making everyone feel welcome, and challenging us to continue to get healthier.

I went to KCFITCLUB over the weekend to speak with Chad about what I could do to improve my health. I used to workout all the time but ever since I moved to KC it has been really hard to stay on track. I was really impressed with how simple and effective the process was. He gave me a body scan and then asked me a series of questions which outlined everything I ate and did that day. He explained his 11 week program and after talking to my wife, we look forward to jumping in the program in April. Overall I had a great experience at KCFITCLUB and the 30 minutes I spent there was well worth my time. Thanks for all your help Chad!
