I never realized how much of a scam PF is as a company.

I had been needing to cancel my membership for a while. I recently saw a charge of $42.12 on my bank account. I wanted to call PF to see if I could get this refunded and to cancel my membership.

Thursday at 3pm I called and spoke to Jessica and asked to speak to the manager and she said that he had already gone home for the day. I told her why I was wanting to speak to him and she said not to waste my time and call ABC Financial. The entire time speaking to her she had a sarcastic attitude. I told her that she can cut the attitude and she hung up on me. I called back and the phone rang for about 45 seconds until a guy answered the phone. He said that the manager will be in tomorrow.

I called ABC Financial and they transferred me several times and then eventually said "you'll have to go into the physical location and deal with them".

I looked on PF's website for any kind of contact information and there is absolutely nothing on there. No 1-800 number or even an email address.

Friday I called at 9 am and spoke to a guy and asked for the manager and he stated that he is in meetings all day and he'll be back at 1, but will leave at 2pm for the day.

At 1:30 pm I called and got a hold of the manager. I told him about Jessica and asked him about getting a refund for the $42.12? He said to call ABC Financial and they will take care of it. I told him that I had already done that and they said to deal with my local office. He then changed his tone and asked me to prove where they had deviated from the contract. He also said to "have my legal team contact him" and hung up. I called back a second time and said that I was not done talking to him and he said "it takes two people to have a conversation and I am done". He then said to have the Better Business Bureau contact him and hung up a second time.

I'm out $42 and it's not the end of the world. The main reason I am writing this review is because I did not realize how much of a deceptive company this is until now. Their website has zero contact information, ABC Financial comes off as a complete scam and lastly how the manager acts on the phone.

I scheduled a personal fitness class to get help with knowing what to do at the gym because I’ve never really worked out. My appointment was at 5:30pm. When I got there, the girl asked me to fill out this paper and she went into the back to get someone named Dan. When she came back up, she told me he’d be with me In a little bit. I waited for 45 minutes until 6:15 PM before finally going back up to the desk. I asked her if I did something wrong by scheduling an appointment online instead of in person and she said no you did everything right. I told her i didn’t understand why I was still waiting 45 minutes later and that I didn’t have time to continue to wait when It was supposed to be an hour thing from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. She offered me no excuses and couldn’t tell me what Dan was doing or if he was even in the building, she just told me multiple times “I’m sorry I don’t know what happened”. She took the paper I filled out and said maybe he will call me and try to schedule something with me.

I am very disappointed. I thought planet fitness was a great place for beginners to go. I was super excited to get a workout plan but I guess not. To not even give me some sort of excuse or explanation is ridiculous. You don’t make someone wait for 45 minutes and not even give any explanation and just say I’m sorry I don’t how what happened. I never even saw the guy. Maybe he was playing hooky on the clock I don’t know. All I know is it was completely unprofessional.

It is, by far, one of the best workout atmospheres in Wichita. Feel very comfortable working out here, enjoy the black card spa with awesome massages, total body enhancement, tanning, etc. Definitely recommend it...!! Have been visiting this for more than 2 years now, and I am loving it!!

This is a place of hygiene and good customer service besides very well maintained cardio workout equipments(tons of them) and amazing "Black card VIP area" for rejuvenation activities! The free weights are limited, though. If you are looking for heavy weights in this section, then you won't find it - as the name says, it's more focused on fitness than bodybuilding. It's a nice workout ambience, though! I would definitely recommend it.

Overall Planet Fitness is a good gym. Would like it much more if the dumbbells would go past 75lbs. I’m only 16 and use the 75’s pretty often because the dumbbells don’t go any higher. I can’t imagine how some of the older dudes in here feel having to limit themselves.

Was greeted upon entry within seconds! The woman at the front (AM -can't remember name) was SUPER friendly, and as the GM of the Smoothie king across the way, we offered them some free smoothie samples and began a business relationship. I will definitely be signing up with their membership very soon!

Very clean upon walking in and very vibrant atmosphere. Was not too busy or crowded which makes for a good work out experience if you not a people person.

The staff is so cool and nice, I am very much a beginner at the gym. I really dont know how anything works. I’m also stupid with technology and I feel like the staff has always helped me without making me feel awkward or anything lol even when I went here to get a tour and feel for the place the staff was sooooo helpful and they don’t try to upsell you on anything which is also nice. It’s very clean. The gym Bros are also nice so you just don’t feel uncomfortable which with gyms it’s very easy to feel awkward so I love going here.

This is one of the dirtier planet fitness locations I have ever been to. 5 stars comes with a clean environment. The changing rooms for the showers were abnormally small, which I thought was weird. Overall, good!

Great location but trying to get out of being a member is not easy. I was moving away due to issues and was no longer working I called to cancel my membership I was told I couldn't do so. I had to get a Dr's note. This is insane. So now I am not paying ans they are sending me threatening emails

I loved it! The place was immaculate! The staff is very friendly! I had been going to the South Seneca location since they first opened. I had been wanting to check out the new location in Derby, and wasn't disappointed. Derby has a great staff and up-to-date equipment! Meagan is awesome! Ivory is a great guy, Tiffany is an excellent manager. This may be the cleanest gym in Wichita.The staff bust their butts keeping this place sparkling clean. This is the best staff of any gym in Wichita.

This was a really good location. The people working there were really friendly and kept the place clean. Im shaking back after a bad wreck a year ago. Got titanium in my arm. Today i put a little weight on the bench and got 8 reps with 185. Planet fitness is making it possible for me to recovery. Thank you. Great location and really goood coffee shop walking distance. Got a membership here finally. They seem to be well organized. Sham was great in helping us to get everything setup and understanding how everything worked and what our membership included. Brian behind the counter told my friend it was not in his best interest to come back. When we asked what it was about he said my friend was banned from the location. And had the worst attitud. We called our main gym and asked what was going on and they told us we weren't banned. So I'm not sure what was going on but I'm not happy with what happened and will not be coming back.

Erick Rojas the assistant manager at this location I believe is the most unprofessional person I have encountered while at this planet fitness. Not sure who hires for this location, but they might want to get some candidates with a stronger background or management experience. Curtesy words should be used when talking with members. I'm no a "bro" , you'd do better to use sir or mam when talking to paying members. Learn customer service. He told me the general manager doesnt work weekends either. For $340 a year the least someone can do is give a friendly greeting and a thank you when leaving. Neither of which this "assistant manager" even knew how to do...What a poor way to keep a gym.

My brother needed to cancel his membership due to a significant leg injury rendering him immobile for several months, and they still charged out his account. Cannot exercise when you cannot stand/walk, but that did not seem to matter. Apparently he intentionally shattered his ankle to avoid paying his fees...or maybe he just wants to avoid exercising (which I guess I could believe 😄). When I paid off the account, they initially did not even want to give me a receipt..."we will email him a copy". VERY POORLY MANAGED.
