Update: it's about 80 degrees on the gym floor and about 60 in the women's locker room. It would be nice if they could fix the HVAC at this location.

Getting really frustrated with this location. They don't keep their paper towels or toilet paper stocked, they allow people to drop and bang equipment without intervention, half the time there's only one person working. They need to get it together.

The gentleman named Isaac made a judgmental comment about how I signed up in May 2024, but showed up for the first time in February 2025. I was really proud of myself for making it in, until he knocked me down. I’m finishing my workout and cancelling to look for a gym that’s more professional. Everyone here just uses the treadmills so if you're going for hypertrophy you're pretty much set. They lack a few really good machines but I'm happy to say they've got the machine I need available at least 90% of the time. I just wish that they had more windows and the color scheme wasn't so ugly. Also they have some great machines dedicated to like planet fitness 360 but I've been able to use them without the staff giving me flack for it

It got new machines and equipment this week. The new bikes are extremely uncomfortable so you ruined my start up and cool down process. There are now random open spaces and certain areas are now cramped. Now I have to change my workout routine or find another location to go to again.

Customer service is an absolute JOKE. Have been trying to get ahold of someone for weeks regarding a bill I shouldn't have (they forged a signature that wasn't mine on a document and tried sending me a bill) . I've called my home store, called their customer service line multiple times, emailed multiple times and even tried messaging on Facebook. An absolute joke of a company.

I want to share my praises for the following PF team members, who do an amazing job running the club during the busiest time of the day in the evenings:

Jesse and Izaak are always pleasant, smiling and telling everyone to have a good workout (I know this is the PF way 😀) and taking the time to give each guest their undivided attention, when needed.
The club is always clean and in order, never chaotic when it's very busy.
Wait times for tanning beds and other Black Card equipment are limited.
Seeing the same team members each visit says a lot about the Planet Fitness culture!

It's a nice gym but very small. Don't even bother if you're trying to get in during lunch or right after work. You'll spend all your time just waiting for equipment to open up. 95th and Quivira is one of the busiest parts of town, yet they put the smallest PF fitness location there. I usually leave with frustration after a partial workout.

If you open at 5 am, your doors should be open at 5. I know it’s only $10 but it’s pretty dang frustrating when I take my pre workout, get dressed and ready and drive to the gym this early in the morning just for the gym to not be open. That makes it 100% not worth the the $10… not hard to get to work on time.

** Update, I sat here until 5:35am on 3/22 and the gym was never opened.

Seems it was 28 treadmills I counted once. Ellipticals, etc., are additional. For me (Silver Sneakers) the 30-minute circle of machines is great. Personnel always courteous and helpful as needed. Always clean. Hours that work.

This place is great for beginners. If you're looking for a bunch of free weights and tons of open space, this is not for you. However if you're looking for machines, a place to start, or just some simple amenities to work out outside of the home, this place does that job perfectly. Was willing to look past the amount of teenagers allows to come in and play during the summer (getting bumped into while they're trying to shoot paper towel hoops in the trash), and the fact they no longer have protein drink options. I’ve been lifting here every day since last December and using the bar pads and returning then 10/10 times.

I understanding there is a new policy that I have to give an item to get the item, but I don’t normally go to a gym and bring extra items with me for bartering.

Today a taller woman said I needed to give an item, but I had nothing on me except my phones and keys. She asked for my car keys and I said no. She said, “ I don’t know what the big deal is”.

I said I’m not giving you the keys to my vehicle or my personal cell phones for a $10 foam pad.

I get the give and take, I’m OK with that. What I don’t think was necessary was a sarcastic and witty response.

That new sign has been up for a while. Today was the first time I was actually asked for an item in exchange.

I like the gym. Its clean and the staff is friendly. I have only one major concern. The staff struggles to get there on time to open the gym. I know 5am is early for some, but, if your hired to work that shift you've agreed that your capable to do so. It's very frustrating to get up so early so you can get a workout in (the reason i pay for the membership) before work and the people who are paid to be there don't show up. This isn't a one time offense. At least once, sometimes more, a month. Management, please address this.

Disgusting and Dirty! Broke Equipment! Why does it always take a month or more to fix broken equipment? It’s always been this way. This was pre-COVID, so no blaming supply or shipping shortages. Also, when are better hours coming back? A 7 am opening time on Saturday and Sunday is too late and your closing times on weekends are super early. When I signed up, this location was open 24/7….

Staff pulled my personal information out of the system and texted me from their own phone. Initially, the conversation seemed like it was from the business, but then I realized it was one employee texting me. I started working with Chris the trainer about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had never had a trainer before. He made sure I knew how to do everything properly, and helped me gear the workouts towards my needs. I have a few limitations and he has been very helpful in how to get a good workout in despite that. The results speak for themselves. I am already feeling stronger and slimmer. Definitely recommend!
