I mostly walk now. It is great for that. I'll walk outside when I can, mostly use Planet Fitness when the weather is undesirable.

I also use various weight machines, free weights and elliptical machines. They have what I want and they are usually available.

The cost is very effective.

I am making this review because I have been repeatedly ignored by the manager. I got charged for a month of a subscription, but I had canceled several months prior to this charge. I wasn’t being charged all those months and then all of a sudden I got charged. So I made a call to planet fitness to ask about this. The lady on the phone told me that the manager would be the one to reimburse me the charge and make sure that it didn’t happen again, I was told I would receive a call from the Manager. Two weeks ago I never received a call so I called again reviewing the same information and was told the same information again. I asked if I even needed to come in to get this taken care of and the lady said well she’s here today, but she will just give you a call. I have still not received a call. This is frustrating because I know the new billing date is coming up and if I get billed. This will be a bigger issue. So if the manager is reading this, please call me if I get charged I’m going to be pissed.

Since when do the doors get locked at 9:40?! I’ve been coming here on and off for 4–5 years, usually arriving past 9pm—often around 9:30–9:40—and I’ve always been out by 10pm out of respect for the staff. If you’re going to lock the doors early, why not just change the closing time to 9:40 instead of 10pm?

Do not recommend this location. The air conditioner has been broke for months & when I ask when it will be fixed the associates state companies come out but never fix it. A customer has passed out from extreme heat. I walk the track on the upper level & sometimes we don’t even have a fan & it gets warm. So steer clear of this location.

They allow minor 16 year olds to sign up for membership without clearly stating their annual fee policies. They have an absolutely ridiculous “late fee” of $20 when a monthly membership costs $15. It is close to my home! I love the variety of equipment! The 30 min strength training is a PLUS but the walking track upstairs is my BONUS. I love to walk and I don't have to worry about the weather. The staff is always super friendly when I come. I have been going to this gym for a little over 6 months. My biggest complaint is when it starts getting warmer out the AC is awful. I look like more than a mess than usual leaving the gym.
I’m not sure who to go to about this because I don’t think any of the staff have much to do with it. And they do try to put fans out to help, but it doesn’t usually do much. This AC issue does lower my experience of the gym especially when other planet fitnesses do have good AC systems.

Overall the gym itself is fine. Really no issues there. The machines are always working and there might be 1 machine that is done. Usually a stair stepper or treadmill but plenty to use. My BIGGEST complaint is the staff here. Once it passes around 9 pm on the weekdays, good luck finding someone to help you. I have the black card membership because the hydro massage beds are nice. I typically finish my workout around 930-940. Last several nights I’ve had to search the whole building for someone to “confirm” the appointment on the computer. Some nights they decide to tell me they close it at 9:30 and some nights they say 9:40 and some nights they say 9:50. There is no consistency. All stuff should be open until closing time. It’s what I pay for.

Absolutely frustrated! I have been member over a year and I just found out through my new employer that there should be a waive in annual fee. I took the letter and found out this location is not franchised with the others, and the promotion only works at other locations. So I decided to cancel here and register with the new employer promotion at the other location, but exactly that day, my automatic annual fee had been drafted. Although I canceled they didn’t refund my annual fee, even I talked to a manager that it’s not fair to be charged while I canceled. His only reason was that based on contract I should have notified them few days in advance. I didn’t know about this promotion back then and now it would have been FAIR to just refund me since I canceled my membership. I don’t appreciate their customer service at all. Really disappointed!

Absolute fraudsters! They claim a 12 month membership is required to avoid cancelation fees. Then when you cancel, they charge you for a 13th month! James, the manager told me "you can cancel before 12 months and I'll charge you $60 for canceling, or you can cancel on 12 months and I'll charge you $30 for an extra month." I asked him how defrauding his customers is a good business model and he replied "I've been doing it for 8 years and we're doing just fine!"

I have a worst experience with Planet Fitness. I have enrolled for the membership for a month. Later due to some personal reasons I couldn't go to gym and I haven't paid for it for the next 2 months. Now, they're asking me to pay for the 2months for the services that I haven't used. They're asking me to pay a 117$ fee for the service I haven't used. Most Importantly the process to cancel the membership is pretty complicated. You'll need to go to the center to cancel the membership whereas, it's pretty easy to start the membership just one click on your mobile phone. I was in the Black card membership now, If I have to downgrade the membership they're asking me to pay an additional 29$+taxes fee to downgrade the membership which is their policy and to cancel the policy we'll need to pay a 58$ fee for cancelation. It'll be easy to start the membership but not to cancel or downgrade. There're a lot of complications. So, I suggest to read the agreement while you're signing.

Solid gym. Although it caters to the beginner crowd without a lot of free weights and dumbbells only go to 75 lbs, a great workout can be had for most exercises. The gym appears to be well maintained and is clean. The following are areas that could be improved to make it even better:

1. Wipe down equipment after use. I'm guessing around 30% of people wipe down their equipment after they're done. This is a significant hygiene issue and it will only get worse as summer approaches. Recommend putting out a LOT more signs, even on every piece of equipment and the staff needs to rigorously enforce this issue.

2. Return weights when done. I routinely see people leaving their plates on equipment when done. This is very discourteous to those who come after them. This is most evident on the hip sleds which almost no one removes their weights from. Typically, the same people who don't put their plates away are also not wiping down equipment.

3. Stop playing on phones while sitting on equipment. This is really an epidemic at Planet Fitness and makes it very difficult, especially at peak times, to properly workout. Sitting on the equipment between sets is bad form (you should get off the equipment and move around) but doing it for as long as 11 minutes (yep, saw it) between sets is very selfish.

4. You have a dress code - enforce it. I don't really care about the women working out in lingerie, but this past week I saw two guys working out in socks. No shoes - just socks. That's just nasty. The increasing number of sports bras and tank tops makes the lack of equipment wipe down an even bigger issue.

All of these items could be improved by simply having your staff walk around and enforce basic courtesy. I seldom see staff present anywhere except the front desk, except when they are taking the duster to random equipment. Walk around and be present, correcting bad behavior. I suspect many people don't know what they are doing is poor gym etiquette - teach them.

All that being said, it's a great gym at a great price, but it can be improved with some simple staff presence and enforcement of basic gym etiquette.

Been going to this location for 8 months and I have noticed that the past month it has had a horribly pungent smell that is very noticeable when you first walk inside. The fans / ventilation only make the scent worse. The staff said they have no answer for why the entire gym has a terrible smell, or where it was coming from. They don't have a lot of tall lockers, so prepare for that. This is the first PF I've attended that has more than 3 sinks which is awesome! Most gyms don't offer paper towels in the bathroom which I understand for an eco-friendly environment. However, sometimes it's needed in there. Also the first locker room I've seen required with more than 2 toilets, sometimes I've had to wait which may not turn out good results. Also the first locker room with more than 4 showers. I'm tall and I need a high bar for pullups and their multi equipped machine has them (some don't). This is also the first gym I've ever seen with an actual track which I've always wanted to have. Update: Although it was difficult to get ahold of the manager after being told to reach out to a variety of people, the club manager was very kind and understanding and immediately resolved the issue for me. He ended up refunding the $42.55 and informed me that he would better inform and train his employees so that this does not happen again in the future. Apparently, the employees should have allowed me to cancel my membership when I originally came in as I would have avoided all fees at that time. I would change my review to 5 stars, but am sufficing for 3 because had the employees been properly trained to begin with, I would have saved some money by being able to cancel at the time that I had originally intended on cancelling earlier this year. I paid for approximately 5 months worth of membership for no reason. :(

I would like to address a complaint that I have with a recent PF subscription cancellation at this location.

I was informed by my local PF that I would have to come in person on November 30th, 2023 in order to cancel my subscription and avoid any additional fees. I was assured that I would not have any charges if I were to come in and cancel on this date. I specifically waited for several months and continued to pay months of my subscription in order to avoid additional fees.

When November 30th, 2023 came around I finally decided to come in to cancel my subscription. However, I noticed that my bank account was charged an amount of $42.55 on December 1st, 2023.

After looking through the terms and conditions, I do not see anything regarding a cancellation fee of $42.55. I am also frustrated at the fact that I was provided misinformation from several staff members. I came in a few times to cancel in 2023 and each time that I came in, I was assured by the staff members that if I were to wait, I would not have to pay any fees. If I had known that I was going to be charged, I would have never waited this entire time, wasting my money by paying months and months of the membership. I have attempted to contact PF regarding this issue, but have been dealt with automated messages of my message not going through. I can only hope that PF investigates this case and refunds me.

Horrible. Horrible PF. I have been a member now for 17 years in multiple states and this is the WORST PF by far. The African American girl who works in the AM during the week is rude, mean, unpleasant and makes up stories to suit her own personal needs. I know seven other people who have left this PF and gone elsewhere because of her. The gym normally smells like a sewer backed up. The GM makes up rules and only applies them to certain members and not all of them. I was told when this gym first opened it was really good but after the owner sold it, it has gone downhill and you can clearly see that. I will never go back to this gym after what I saw and how I was personally treated. Again, I am not new to PF, so I am aware of their policy and procedures but this one makes up ones to suit their own needs. DO NOT GO TO THIS PF!!!

Sunday, 07/23/2023: Just started getting back into fitness, and they closed right after I finished working out there today. The last time I went was 2 years ago, and the place is still the same as it was before. The facility is big and spacious enough where you won't feel claustrophobic or cluttered, but it's not like humongous or anything. It gets the job done for who they are. The manager there was very polite, friendly, and professional when I went to scan in. Everyone there cleans the equipment after they are done using it, and the staff cleans regularly and consistently, and all the sanitizer bottles and paper towels are refilled. The locker room was big enough to walk around where you didn't walk into anyone, and the lockers worked properly. I did my workout and didn't have any issues with anyone or waiting for equipment. My experience with them today was 20/10. Great facility and equipment and people and staff. No issues. I'll be going there regularly to take care of my health and fitness. Keep it up, Planet Fitness!! You guys rock!!

Cancellation policy is ridiculous. Management states you need to hand write a letter stating you’re desire to cancel, no form just loose leaf with signature. Email and phone confirmation does not work. I moved out of town and can’t come into the location in person. A joke.

First planet fitness location I've been to (I've been to more than a dozen) that makes you sign a clip board after scanning in. Then after my 10th visit they said I had reached my "limit" of 10 visits for the month so each additional visit would be $5.. I'm a black card member and its thier policy bc it's not a franchise owned establishment.. staffs not very friendly and it's an older gym but it's close to where I live and has half the crowd of other gyms.. now potentially I understand why.

I don't usually even give bad reviews. But I can't help myself and have to let people know. It is rundown the equipment is old and needs updated. There's machines that aren't getting used and then they don't have enough machines for the ones that people do used and you have to wait in line to even get on that machine while other ones just sit there and collect dust. The staff was very rude. The tanning beds were disgusting. If you could go to any other planet fitness I would. I've been to a lot of different planet fitnesses in this one is not up to par! Will not return! There is another planet fitness 7 minutes away from there that is absolutely awesome!

Scam City. Keep in mind that once you sign up, only way you can cancel is to go into the location you signed up in. I've tried to speak to higher ups but they could give a care less about getting you there. They will just keep charging you and then raise the price with no email warning or anything.
