I've been working out at the N Rock Rd. Wichita Planet Fitness. They've been upgrading the gym. It's been a long, slow process. They finally have all the doors in the ladies' locker/shower room fixed. The tv's still freeze up from time to time but, overall it's clean and affordable, and I can get in, get out & get done in 30 minutes. Bring your earbuds, a sweat towel, and stay healthy, my friends.

Nicole is the best trainer in Wichita! She modifies workouts for individuals even in a group setting. She is really fun to work out with one on one.
The rest of the staff at the north Rock road location are so friendly and welcoming. I have never "liked" going to the gym. This gym has become a fun place to be. I have made so many friends with staff and other members. Thank you PF NE Wichita!

April 8, 2024: I was double charged last month so I called to resolve the issue. The manager of the local gym admitted the error but said unfortunately she could not refund my money. I asked for a corporate phone number and she said I could google it. I took time off of work to go cancel my membership and asked for a refund of my prepaid annual fee for next year. She stated that unfortunately she could not refund the prepaid free. I canceled my membership on the spot because it seems they don't care about life long customers. The part that really bothers me most is that she was very condescending and was laughing. I will just take my business down the road to the YMCA. Planet Fitness took me for $60 to forfeit years of $10 monthly fees and $50 annual fees... truely sad. By the way I am a 10+ year member.

I appreciate that someone at Planet Fitness took the time to read my review, however, because of this negative event I found a much better place to workout at the YMCA on Woodlawn. A Harvard study on customer retention confirmed it costs an organization more money to find new customers than to take care of the ones they have. If I were you I would address the manager who treated me like dirt in front of your other employees and thought it was funny to give me a flippant response to my problem.

I love coming here but. The water fountain has been broken all week and my water last about 20 minutes before I need a refill. I was told on Monday that it would be fixed by the next day. Then by Thursday they told me no later then Friday. Here we are on a Saturday no water and calling workouts quit early.

Editing since I got a very generic corporate response… I want a working water fountain not for a suggestion to mention it to the staff which was already done last week. Provide us either free water bottles to drink or a temporary water dispenser for the time being.

When I arrived a lady was literally screaming at two of them and they were remarkable at maintaining their calm. Planet fitness offers an affordable membership to people in an environment that is not intimidating to most, which I appreciate. I was a member at this gym for a few years a while back and the yellow and purple everything nearly drove me insane. I went to the YMCA for the most recent couple of years. My Y membership was expiring and I thought I might come back to PF to save money so I did a trial but quickly decided it was not worth saving 25 bucks. The YMCA has so much more to offer all around; I will be staying there.

These gyms now days love to scam people. Luckily, I have a bank that’s willing to listen and hear me out. I called several months back to “cancel” my membership on my cancel calandra day. They told me it would be taken care of. It’s wasn’t and so they charge me $41.93 membership fee. Called again to get it canceled and a refund. They refused and made me mail a letter with a “stamp” to cancel my membership again. The Customer service was ridiculous along with the phone system they have. I wish I could give them a -0. COMPLETE SCAM.
I signed my son up for Planet Fitness at the 3535 North Rock Road location because of their no contract ad which was being advertised everywhere. When myself and my son went to this location to sign up, we were told by a female at the desk that we should sign up on line ( even though we went to this specific location to sign up). I inquired about the no contract option and was told that it would be the same and it would be better if we signed up on line. Well my son went there a few times and hated it. So I gave it a few months and when he still did not go, I went there to cancel the membership. Not only was I told that they do not have any females that work the front desk ( which is clearly a lie) but I was informed that because we signed up online , I was going to be charged a $58.00 early termination fee because we signed up for the wrong membership! and that I should have read the contract!! This is why I went to the gym in the first place.. What a scam!!! I will be letting everyone I know and anyone who will listen not to go there and my experience with this company. If I could leave a negative rating, I sure would !!

The place is dirty, I went at 11 pm and the trash were overflowing. The locker rooms are completely dirty with trash and debris. Recently just yesterday after my workout around 1pm i came back to the locker i was using and there was a different lock on the locker not my blue lock that i used. I thought it was weird because what type of person is just sitting around checking peoples lockers that already has a lock on it! I notified the staff at the time and they cut off the random lock. All my stuff was still there EXCEPT for my wallet. I thought to myself what customer is just walking around with bolt cutters.This was definitely internal by the staff. I went to the Planet Fitness on North Rock Road to cancel my membership months ago and was told there was a moratorium on cancellations, but I could freeze my membership. I agreed to that and left very clear instructions that at the end of the 3 month freeze, I was to be contacted before that membership was to be renewed or any fees charged. I work as a Construction Engineer and my work requires that I be at remote locations for extended periods of time. I return home and while I am going through my stack of mail, I find an invoice that I have been 2 charged for 2 months and late fees have been assessed. $41.50 for 2 months. I go in to close out this account. The person behind the counter says I cant sign the cancellation form unless all past due fees are paid. Of course she says there is nothing on file about my previous instructions. I put my debit card in the terminal, it says approved. I hear the email notification from my phone for the transaction approval. The person behind the counter says there is a "MAB Failure". She states she has never seen that before, but my transaction was not approved. We go through the entire procedure once again on the same terminal. Not approved due to this "MAB Failure" Then again on the other terminal in the store. Not approved due to this "MAB Failure" I now have 3 pending charges on my debit card. The employee was either making this terminal error up, ie LYING, or was grossly incompetent at their job. The employee refused to call anyone to remedy the situation. This employee Refused to contact anyone that could be jokingly referred to as management. This employee also Refused to provide the form for membership cancellation.

Great sign up experience! Mariah was amazing and took time to answer all my questions and give me a facility tour. I got the black card membership which has upgraded amenities.
