I attended the Pop Up Full Body workout today. It was an amazing experience. The space is super inviting; and the instructor was skilled, welcoming and encouraging. A beautiful soul. She demonstrates the exercises and offers modifications to fit your skill level. I definitely recommend that you give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been battling a hip injury and was at a point where I could not sit without being in extreme discomfort. I had tried traditional physical therapy for years which only focused on strengthening select body parts and not treating the root cause of my issue which was muscular imbalance and misalignment. I had heard about the health benefits of Pilates and faced with the increasing likelihood of hip arthroscopy, I decided to give it a try as a last ditch effort to avoid surgery.
I have been working with Lorna at Pneuma for about six weeks and it has been a transformative experience. She is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and each session is customized to my body to suit my recovery needs. Lorna uses a holistic approach to fitness and well-being, using specialized equipment and props in order to mobilize joints and strengthen/lengthen muscles through well-controlled, low-impact movements.
Since we have started working together my pain has decreased tremendously, I have better mobility & flexibility, I stand taller and have better posture, can sit for longer periods without discomfort, and am significantly stronger with better cardio fitness. Overall, my body feels better than it has in years.
What really sets Pneuma apart is that it is not just a place for exercise, but a sanctuary for rehabilitation and relaxation. Pneuma provides a calming atmosphere, the ambiance is serene which lowers stress levels and provides a rejuvenating experience. I often use the Infrared Sauna after my session which is not only relaxing but also improves my recovery.
I would highly recommend Pneuma to anyone interested improving their health and fitness and also those interested in decreasing pain associated with occupational or office related musculoskeletal discomfort. The results have been amazing and I am very excited to continue my journey to improve my fitness and overall physical well-being!

I had been hurt in personal training previously and was diagnosed with cervicogenic headaches. I am also suffering from intermittent vertigo. My phone consultation with Lorna helped bring clarity to how physical therapy, chiropractic care, and personal training can work together. I came to Ms.Lorna for my first time today and didn’t know what to expect, but I can say the service she provided was amazing. Especially for me being an athlete and not always getting the exact stretches I need. She made sure to open up my hips,shoulders and back which are key parts to an athlete movement and productivity on the field. I will most definitely be making me more appointments to keep benefiting from the full body recovery and stretches. It felt amazing.

I have been working with Lorna for a bout 2 weeks and all of my sessions make me feel ten times better as an athlete. I came in and told her what I needed to work on and pains that I were having as an athlete and her work has made practices and intense football training easier. I would highly recommend her services to any athlete even if you are not in pain because this is injury prevention!!

My husband and I have been working with Lorna for a few months now in a private Duet class. We both work out regularly but wanted to switch up our routine and challenge ourselves with Pilates. I’m sometimes floored how hard a workout can feel when I’m not breaking a sweat but get the soreness of a CrossFit workout. We tried a few different instructors before we met Lorna and we LOVE her classes. She took the time to ask our goals and really breaks the movements down and gives us the why behind the exercise. She challenges us each class and they are never the same. The variety keeps me coming back whereas I always had found yoga to be a bit boring. I highly recommend Lorna to new or experienced individuals!

I don’t think most people understand the body, mind and emotional benefits of Pilates. Pneuma’s approach focuses on all the above. I was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was and that it was a full body workout and this is coming from someone like me that works out 4 times a week. I highly recommend it and Pneuma is the place to go for it.

This studio space is truly an experience! It’s AMAZING. As soon as you walk through the doors, you feel the peace and calm. It’s like your mind, body and spirit all take a breath together! I tried the infrared sauna while I was there and it was just what I needed. The mental stillness and the release. The warm cider was the cherry on top! If I could, I would take the sauna and the Reflection Corner home with me. I’m thankful that I’ve met Lorna. She is definitely a vessel, here to connect people to health and wellness. Personally, Lorna is giving me much needed exposure and guidance for my own health and wellness journey and it’s appreciated.
P.s. I tried the Rebounder as well. First timer and I’d easily do it again. It makes cardio a breeze!

Have now been attending 2 half hour sessions a week for the last 3 weeks. After the very first session, I experienced a fairly significant reduction in severe ankle pain. Since then my nearly lifelong debilitating bilateral ankle/foot pain and instability has improved to the point that my pain is not at the top of conscience on a regular basis. I can do everyday task without deciding which activities to forgo because of severe pain and swelling. For the first time in about 30 years I feel hopeful that I can finally regain my mobility and avoid additional major corrective surgeries!

Lorna is a uniquely situated health professional much needed in our current climate of change in every sphere of life. Her many skill sets regarding mind-body connection are artfully employed to address any condition or situation one might find themselves! I've not met anyone like Lorna -- she has quickly become my teacher, my mentor, model for living/moving/thinking/planning, and my coach for investing in myself now and in the future!
As a healthcare professional and Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting (trauma) hospital, I have a unique window and perspective into the human condition. We therapists work hand-in-hand with doctors and nursing staff to assist the patient to improve their health and get back to their lives after illness, injury, surgery, etc. However, in mainly only dealing with the physical body, we are not able to treat the whole person adequately -- not even sufficiently. But our health, fitness, and wellness are all inexorably linked--- true, really good health, or the holistic approach, implies a balance between the body, mind and spirit.
Enter Lorna! Personally depleted emotionally, physically, and having difficulty maintaining/ managing my life and relationships, a friend and counselor suggested Lorna. I had always wanted to "get into" Pilates, but even the first session took me to the place where my mind and body met through Lorna, her skills with her tools, Pilates exercises and equipment, and her knowledge of the body. Succeeding sessions, only added layer on layer, both inner work and outer work, amazing!
I have been seeing Lorna several months, and each and every session reveals more about my body, mind, and spirit - I am certainly stronger, yes! and I have been toning, yes!, and stretching muscles and tendons, yes!, and weight-bearing on bones correctly through her guidance. Yes! Perhaps not surprisingly though, I have noticed an increase in organizational skills, goal setting, and attention skills--decreased distractibility!
I could go on....and on...simply put: Invest in yourself! Invest in your (the entire you) self.
I highly recommend Lorna Jarret!

"You can't move your BIG TOE so we can't help you.", said the neurological center physical therapists every year when I would go for my multiple sclerosis evaluation. I took my first class with Lorna. She taught the importance of foot movement, weight transfer and toe lifting. She gave unique cues to help wake up my slumbering toe and it WORKED!! I am very grateful I was exposed to Lorna's work. I am also saddened that the mainstream physical therapists are so quick to give up. Try this out and you'll come away learning something new.

Miss Lorna is very knowledgeable and experienced in the health and wellness field! She had me sweating huffing and puffing with the 15 minute trial workout! I work our regularly 5 days a week and she pinpointed my weak points in my back abdominals and quads that need strengthening! Mrs. Lorna has created a pleasant and relaxing place. More than that, she has created an atmosphere of serenity. She not only specializes in the human body, but she also cares about the emotional and spiritual well-being. My teen son participates in the Knights & Kings mentorship program which I highly recommend. He really enjoys the program and I love knowing that he is with such wonderful mentors.
Worth mentioning, when I was there this week, another mom had a massage while the boys played chess. She was very pleased with her massage and after Hearing about her experience, I’d highly recommend the massage!

I came to Lorna’s Pilates 5 years post stroke. Lorna is one of the best holistic practitioners I’ve ever worked with. She’s extremely accommodating, has a deep, holistic, knowledge of the structure of the human body and he’s giving me hope that I can practice martial arts again. I won’t say all the great things about Lorna & Pneuma Pilates, but I will share a few of the major mentions. First, I wasn’t sure Pilates was even for me, but it was worth a try after a friend recommended Lorna. I’m a 60 year old professional equestrian. After 40+ years of riding, my hips, low back, shoulders and neck were tight. My mobility and strength were diminished to the point that mounting & dismounting were painful. I didn’t have the needed strength to maintain a. correct seat and posture, so my performance in the arena was less than desired. I was losing confidence with every ride. In less than 10 sessions with Lorna I am much more improved. I still have a long way to go in terms of reaching all my professional goals, but I am certainly riding pain free, with confidence and more mobility and flexibility. My horses are happier, I’m happier and we are back in the winners circle! In addition to the desired results, I’m sleeping better, I’m more fit overall and I have more strength and energy through my very busy day. If you’re on the fence about Pilates, you can’t go wrong with Lorna at Pneuma Pilates. She is fantastic when it comes to biomechanics and her keen eye will not let you cheat yourself. Do it! Lorna is a wonderful person who has created a space that is peaceful and healing. I was drawn to this space because I really enjoy Pilates but there are many more services available. Lorna has introduced me to a Rebounder Class that is so much fun. Years ago I damaged my ankle extensively and still have some problems with it. Most exercise programs are too hard on my ankle but with this class you use a trampoline which takes the pressure off your joints. It is so much fun and a great workout. I highly recommend checking this place out.
