The alumni which is located at the Gatton student center. The
alumni is a student gym that’s open for everyone to use that’s convenient for all college students.
The membership is free to everyone who has a student I.D at the University of Kentucky. The
gym is very clean and has very nice staff. It also offers lots of different machines and space for
people to get their workouts accomplished. The hours of the gym are also convenient if you
wanna go late or early. The only downside is that the gym can get extremely packed and that
makes it much harder for you to get your desired machine right away. Other than that the gym is
very well put together, in a convenient location, and is free for all of the University of Kentucky
students. So it’s definitely worth going to when you need a workout.

The Alumni gym is great escpeillay for people trying to meet new people. Sometiems it can get really crowded there; it just depends on what time you go! A downside to Alumni gym is they don’t have any mirrors which I think are essential in a gym. But overall this gym is really good for any UK student it has evrything you are looking for. It might be weight lifting or maybe personal classes maybe even a mat room they got it! You can't really go wrong with this place. The locker room are really good and are equipped with a scale. Sadly its closed right now so I couldn't take any pictures in inside but art is really beautiful in there. They have lots of cardio machines so you will never be waiting for those but the workout machines you might have to wait for. They are also really good for powelifters.

As a freshman enrolled in the University of Kentucky, I needed a great place to workout while I live here and this place is the best place I found in Lexington. From the high quality gym equipment to the cool and fun atmosphere, it brings almost everything you need in a gym to achieve the workout you need. Also, if you are set up in the UK invests system, you get five dollars every time you swipe your card to get in. Not only do I get to workout in a very nice gym, I get paid for it too. The only setback this place has from being a 5 star place is that it does not have any mirrors, which are essential to some people while they workout. The gym offers lots of machines and free weights that I love to use! I would highly recommend this gym to everyone who goes to the UK!

The alumni gym is probably my favorite gym to lift weights in. It is the nicest and newest gym on campus. It has everything you need to start lifting there from stair masters all the way to smith machine, and they are all brand new with University of Kentucky emblems on some of the weights which I think is cool. There are a few problems with the gym. There are no mirrors which is kinda a must when you are in a gym, cause you need to look at yourself with a pump. And the gym is always crowded which sometimes makes it hard to lift. However the workers there are pretty nice, they do not say too much and they clean up the gym when they need to. Overall I really do like this gym and what it has to offer. There may be a few downsides but I think the pros outweigh the cons.

The alumni gym is a great resource for students at UK to use, as it hosts a range of workout classes and its free. It is conveniently right across the north campus dorms. My favorite thing about the gym are the weekly Pilate classes that are held there. I enjoy going there as it allows me to create a sense of community and make friends who have similar interests as me. The staff are all very nice, and welcoming. Besides the fitness classes, the weight lifting area itself does have a lot of equipment, making it easy to target all muscle groups. It is typically very clean, I notice there’s no random equipment thrown everywhere or trash. If you have never been to this gym before I think it's fair to warn you that it can get pretty busy and packed in the evening, so if possible I'd recommend going in the morning to guarantee you will have a spot in the area you were wanting.

Before coming to college, I had only stepped foot in a gym maybe twice, but now Alumni Gym feels like my second home. Alumni gym has lots of equipment, a variety of fitness classes, and every exercise machine a person could need. It can get a bit crowded from time to time, so my advice is to go after 6pm or early in the morning to beat the rush! The gym and the people who are in the gym are very accepting to people who have little to no experience in the gym which is amazing. My personal favorite thing about Alumni Gym is pilates with Linden! Her teaching style is one that all instructors should follow, her playlists are absolutely amazing, and the general atmosphere in a Linden class is phenomenal. She is absolutely everything and her pilates classes keep me coming back to the gym three times a week!

I have visited this gym a couple of times and each time I have had a good workout. Everytime I go, it is always clean and more importantly, it doesn't smell like sweat! A lot of gyms always smell like sweat and it is just not enjoyable but you never have to worry about that at this gym. I have never felt judged and everyone that is working out has always been nice. They have a lot of different equipment but for some machines, there is only one. My favorite machine is the treadmill and there are tons of those available, I specifically love the treadmills that are right in front of the window so I have fresh sunlight as I am working out. This is a con only because this gym is crowded most of the time. If you do want to go while it isn't crowded, I would recommend going in the morning, especially on the weekdays. They also have rooms in the gym where they host pilates classes (they are the best and you can meet so many people going). Every pilates instructor is amazing and its a very inviting community!

The Alumni gym is one of my favorite places on campus. I usually exercise here a few times a week after my classes. The gym can be busy at this time of day, but there's lots of space to spread out and do the things you need to do. The variety of stuff to do is what keeps me coming back here. You can do anything from free weights to cardio on the stair master. I personally have not attended one of the group classes they run here, but I've heard many good things from my friends. The staff here are also very helpful. Signing into the gym can be a hassle sometimes, but they are always there to help. You can occasionally find the gym quiet with only a few people, but most of the time the gym is full of life and good energy. The alumni gym is more than just a workout space for me; it's a routine that keeps me in a good head space.

With working out being one of my favorite hobbies, I love going to a gym that makes me feel comfortable and unjudged while working out. And the Alumni Gym at the Gatton Student Center does just that. This gym is big, clean, busy, and filled with a whole bunch of students every day at all times of the day. While I am working out at the Alumni Gym, I enjoy listening to the music playing from the speakers. The gym also has multiple of the same machine, so if the one you want is taken, you can still use another one. The environment is clean and judgement free. My favorite time to go is at night when it's not so busy but going any time of the day is also just as fun. The Alumni Gym is one of my favorite spaces on campus and I hope i continue loving it just as much throughout my college career.

This gym is beautiful, and very convenient for me to come to after working. Only thing that makes me uncomfortable, is having the in coming freshman’s and their families walk around the gym watching people workout like animals 🥴
