The gym and the equipment are fine I just need to cancel my membership. I have fulfilled my 18 month contract. The owner will not return my calls for cancellation and i have been to the gym during normal daily working hours and no one is there. I'm going to try and call another Anytime Fitness to see if they can cancel or have my bank (or ABC Financial Services) stop payment. It shouldn't be this hard to cancel an account.

I am on the phone with their 3rd party billing right now. The club owner has refused to stop charging my account (a month to month membership) for OVER A YEAR. I finally had to pay to place a stop payment on them. MARK is a thief. Best of luck getting in touch with him. Maybe he will perk up when he gets a summons.

Perfect if you work out very early, congested if you work out in the afternoon or evening. They have the equipment you need but not multiples of everything so to get a workout in without waiting you need to avoid peak times.

The staff is incompetent,try to cancel my membership he ask me the reason and I told him I made a trip to another country he asked me to show him my proof of moving before cancel it .at the end he gave me his boss number which never takes my call.he said he can’t cancel it but may be his boss could do it.but They continue to take money from my account .bad personal.i think I will take them to court soon

It was the first time I had been to Anytime Fitness. There were no staff members there, and I was there during staff hours. The gym doesn't have much equipment. I was unimpressed with the lack of staffing and the poor choice of exercise equipment.

AVOID TRAINER/GM KEN HAGGARD AT ALL COSTS!

I can honestly say that I will never forget how awful Ken was to us at this gym. First of all, he belittled both my girlfriend and I for our training goals. We both said we wanted to lift weights, yet he told me that "you'll never be big" and my girlfriend that "most ladies just use the machines". Ken repeatedly pushed her to use the machines, and when she tried to stand up for herself he begun to refer to her as "piece of work". He kept trying to redefine my girlfriend's workout goals, saying she should lose weight instead, subtly calling her fat and actually bringing her to tears on multiple occasions.

Then, as some sort of petty revenge for ending my trial, he refused to cancel my trial until I drove back home to fetch a carbon copy of the trial paperwork to return it to him. Despite this making no sense, as he had the original, he continued to insist that my copy was "his property". When I tried to reason with him he became brash and rude, insulted us, and kicked us out of his office. Ken really just tried to make our cancellation as difficult as possible.

The owner of this establishment needs to realize that Ken is an extremely toxic individual and has no business working in an environment where he needs empathy, patience, and to treat others with respect.

A little shocked to see such a low rating. I paid to work out in a professional gym - I was sick of the cheap gyms with 100s of idiot protein-farters. My hope was to have less riff-raff, and fewer farters. I got exactly what I wanted. Sure, it cost $40 a month. But, they didn't lie, and they were certainly not racist. I mean if you don't pay your bill... then you're an idiot riff-raff that I want to avoid.

If you want to scam this place, or not pay for your membership then of course you will be disappointed. All of the bad reviews are coming from idiots who signed a clear as day contract. You pay $X amount for Y many months. If you don't understand that, then please stay away!!!

I would say a nice plain Jane fitness center. It is convenient, obviously 24 hours. They don't have a huge crowd. They have enough equipment, but not much of a selection and the equipment is dated. Cleanliness is average. They only have one shower/bathroom for each gender, so that can be an inconvenience. I wouldn't recommend traveling out of your way to this fitness center, but if it is close, it will suffice.

Run away. Seriously. I signed up for a 7 day Free Trial with the owner Mark. He asked for a $25 deposit which I was told would be returned once I returned the gym keyfob. Totally acceptable. The equipment seemed pretty basic, and the $35/mo fee seemed high compared to other options in town but the location was convenient to work so I thought I would give it a try. In the end I decided to use another gym /w a lower fee and more workout options.

When I went to return the Key Fob Mark wasn’t around but the GM was. When I asked for my $25 back I was told that I was too late, I had to return the Fob on the 7th day of my trial and that my membership had already been “processed”. I explained that over the holidays I had gotten busy, that Mark never told me I only had 7 days to return the fob, and while I was sorry for the misunderstanding in the end they were getting the Fob back and I would like my $25 back. This is where things get interesting.

Their GM got very argumentative and hostile. He informed me that they had done “over 800 trials and ALWAYS told people they only had 7 days to return the fob”. He then said there was nothing he could do for me, that I would have to come back the next day to speak to Mark and again that my membership had been “processed”. I explained that I really didn’t have time to come back, that I was returning the fob and that I just wanted my $25. He then demanded that I leave his “office” and that if I did not he would have me removed from the property.

I was a bit shocked, asked if I was being thrown out to which he said “yes you are you will have to deal /w Mark tomorrow”. I then asked for a number to corporate, which he said he could not supply, apparently only Mark has it.

I am not sure what kind of crazy power trip the GM is on, or if Mark is aware of how his potential customers are being treated, but Anytime Fitness corporate will be. Turns out Mark isn’t the only person with their number.

Don't EVER use this gym. There is nothing "state of the art" about it, I've been to high school gyms with nicer equipment. It's just a regular old gym, with a terribly inconsiderate owner and general manager. When I signed up for this gym membership, the owner NEVER explained to me that is was a $600, 17 month payment type of membership. The only thing he told us was that if we didn't like it after 30 days we could get our money back. Apparently, I didn't know what I was signing up for. Well of course, life happens, so I went in to cancel my membership a few months after being a member because I was moving due to sudden circumstances, waited for 20 minutes for the owner to finish a phone call while pretending he didn't see me sitting right in front of him the whole time, then when I finally found the GM and started talking to him, the owner finally came in to see what was going on, and when I explained my situation they lectured me on how I signed a contract and that "they have a business to run." They told me the only way I could get out of my "contract" was to show them documented proof of my new address, and even then they wouldn't close my account until 30 days after notifying them of my address change. I understand that businesses have policies and rules to follow, but they could've explained all this to me without talking to me like I was stupid and being so inconsiderate. I will NEVER do business with this gym again. They treat a membership like a mortgage and treat their members like a sale instead of human beings.
