Strange, in a good way, combination things. A simple place with everything you need. Low cost, but all the right equipment. Lots of in shape good looking staff and patrons plus lots of us schlubs inspired to push harder. Lots of friendly people ready to answer questions and lots of people seriously into their workout. I think almost anyone can fit right in.

The only reason I joined this gym was because a friend was going to start teaching yoga classes there. Once that stopped, I only stayed because I loved the dance fitness class. When that stopped, there was no reason for me to stay. I have an entire home gym that I got during Covid, so I never went. I had 3 months left of my contract. I've been members of multiple gyms over 3 decades. Who does contracts anymore? Only gyms that are sub par at best. They know that people may not be happy with their outdated, dirty gym equipment. $46 a month for a smelly, dirty, outdated gym is robbery. Yoga there wasn't relaxing at all since the music in the gym was always loud, banging of weights, etc. They installed a punching bag on the wall in the adjacent room and people would use it while we were trying to relax in yoga. Even had a guy come in and start using it WHILE a group class was going on in THAT room. The mirrors in the group class room were quite often filthy. Was it splattered sweat? Who knows.
Finances have become tough so I was trying to lighten my burden. I also developed some medical issues and have been in and out of the hospital. Stephanie, the manager said we could "freeze" my membership, but it would add that number of months. Kind of defeats the purpose. This medical issue isn't temporary.
Seriously, save yourself some grief and just go to Planet Fitness or really ANY other gym. Over 3 decades of going to several different gyms in 4 different states and this has been the absolute worst.

I love this gym. They're actively restoring older stuff, they've painted recently, they replaced the old torn seats. They're fantastic. I love all the workers too. They're all kind. I like that there are different places to work different things out if you need to. I love this gym. Way better than the other option in the area.

HA! Starred my 7 day free trial and will say I’ve been to a lot of gyms. After day one I will never go back this gym. The equipment is ancient and held together with parts that don’t go with that equipment. With paying way more than planet fitness they should be able to get some new equipment. Another thing it stinks. Plus I know someone who works their and they say the staff doe nothing to clean and make the place look presentable.. hope the owner reads this and does something about it..

Was a nice gym. The contract I signed into was sort of a pain. During the recession, with a loss of income and couldn't get out of the contract, it took an impact on my credit. I would recommend Planet Fitness, they're a 1/4 of the price and no contracts.

Club fitness has a great atmosphere, music, and machines/equipment! The employees are always helpful and asking how they can improve the gym and I love walking in and having Stephanie greet me with a big smile! There is plenty of room for stretching, lifting, cardio, spin, and more. Would highly recommend this gym!

UPDATED from 2 stars to 4 stars. Stephanie, manager, called back and apologized for the behavior of the employee. She explained in detail the new contract and billing process.

We have been members of this gym more than 10 years. Yesterday, May 30th, Stephanie, the gym manager, realized that our contract had expired, and we were paying about $25 a month more than what we should for our family plan of 4 people. She assisted my husband in a new contract with a more affordable rate. Today I called to speak to the manager Stephanie to discuss the bill and changes as he couldn't remember the details, and the man that answered phone would not say if she was available , refused to get her on the phone, and disconnected the call. This is not how to run a business.

Tried this place out with a friend the other day. Didn’t see anyone working. So I got on Facebook and looked them up trying to get prices. See they have lot of group fit classes to choose from but No tanning or any other amenities that are appeasing. The equipment is old and dirty looking. A lot of the dumbbells seemed to be falling apart. Seems to me that instead of paying all that money for group fitness they should update their equipment that most people use. $45 a month is way to much, especially with how out dated everything in that place is. I mean even the treadmills are full of rust. I think I will sign up at Crunch since they are building multiple facilities around louisville and I hear the one in Fern Creek is opening in the spring. $29 a month and you get a guest pass every day and brand new equipment, tanning and hydro massage.

A young lady signed me up about a year ago and she was not trained in detail on the contents of the contracts that Club Fitness offers

I was told after inquiring multiple times in the same conversation - that I could cancel anytime. That was incorrect - You must sign an agreement or pay double the price monthly

The young lady did not say that during my sign up process

I then called to cancel a few months following and they told me to come in - I took vacation time from work, came in, signed a document and was reassured I wouldn't be charged following that month

5 months later, I've been charged each month. The Owner/Operator - Stephanie Langley - called me saying "you signed an agreement, I'm sorry that my employee didn't inform you of our contract, but you signed an agreement until april"

Update: I've been able to remove them from being able to bill me through fifth third, but the process was infuriating. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES IF YOU WANT A SUCCSESSFUL BUSINESS

Club Fitness is a great gym. They have a lot of options for how you wish to workout and the atmosphere is very friendly. My only issue is that with some machines they only have one of (lat pull downs for example) and sometimes the gym goers like to use those machines for multiple different workouts in one go. This has caused for these machines to be taken for over an hour on multiple occasions. This could only be fixed by providing more of the popular machines.

Overall, the decor could use some updating and the weights clearly have been used significantly but it is a great gym. Highly recommended.

I’ve gone here for years. this used to be a place where experienced lifters could lift and god forbid even be louder than a library setting. unfortunately now is not much more than a planet fitness but instead of a lunk alarm some guy is going to come bother you mid workout for making noise in a GYM. sad, especially when i still paid my membership when they were shut down in covid because i used to like this gym. Plenty of other great options for gyms in the area.

This place is my church. No frills gym with a lot of space and always reinventing themselves. I go twice a day most weeks and I really don't have a lot to complain about. The owner is always there and is extremely nice. The lounge area is pretty nice also.
