The culture, cleanliness, and overall vibe of this gym is abysmal. It’s dirty all the time, nobody.. and I mean nobody reracks their weighs or wipes down the equipment after using it. The clientele is a mix of roided up meatheads and people who never put dumbbells back in the correct spot. The men’s locker room is always nasty as well. My one-year commitment ends in December and I’ve never canceled a membership so quickly. Would not recommend to anyone.

To start off with...my son & I thought we would try it out when they had the penny special for 30 days. We did & loved the facility but the staff are so pushy that we decided not to continue. Well we were told you could freeze your account at anytime so instead of cancelling I thought I would wait to make sure I didn't want to continue & just freeze it for awhile. They continued to try to take money out of my account for two months after I froze it & they were told repeatedly that I froze my account & it continued so I cancelled my account even though I had never signed a contract or anything to have to cancel. Well as of 4 months later they are still trying to take money out of my bank account & using two different names to try to get money after cancelling months ago! Also they have continued to accumulate the amount! It is now over $200 that they try to run through on an average of two- five times within a 24 hour period! I have to keep my bank account locked at all times. This is ridiculous!! They are doing the same thing to my son's account! My suggestion is to definitely go somewhere else!!!

The guy at the front desk was really nice. This is the only reason why they're even getting a star. I was supposed to start with a personal trainer today at 9AMand she wasn't there. I waited 30 minutes and she never showed up. So hopefully I'll get a phone call for a reschedule or I get put with someone different. I will give them a chance and see where it goes. I also got a hydro massage while I waited and noticed that the place isn't really all that clean. But we shall see if things get better. I will keep you all posted.

The weight management is not ideal, it is pretty often hard if not impossible to find two of the matching weight dumbbells.

As for plates, you will usually have to go between multiple machines in order to find multiple of the same weight, once again.

As for machines, it is 50/50 if you'll be able to find the proper grip. Especially for lat pulldowns.

I came in tonight to finish setting up my membership. I ended up leaving with a super energizing workout that made me feel good. Dezere at the front desk, she is absolutely phenomenal she gave me a wonderful tour she explained things to me and made me feel like family as soon as I walk in the door. I love the brand new workout machines that they have the group fitness classes and the sauna! I'm so glad I made that switch to Crunch Fitness. It's like I'm still paying the same price but I have more amenities and that's always bomb! Definitely recommend this gym 10 out of 10 I can't wait to come back!

I dont even know where to begin. I have been to Crunch all across the US and this was hands down the worst. Walked in to the strong smell of cigarettes that almost made me vomit. Half of the equipment is either in bad shape or inoperable. No gym etiquette nobody racks their weights or cleans the equipment after use. And if you bring this up to the staff they act insulted that you dare bring any of the issues up. Thank god this isn't my regular gym or id be leaving crunch entirely. Corporate might want to come in and do something asap.

Staff is extremely rude and unprofessional! I had my account on auto pay BUT I was still charged a late fee and a processing fee and they refused to reimburse me for the charges! I called at least 8 times and they gave me the run around and when I finally was able to speak to the GM she still refused to return my money! I immediately decided to cancel, I had the cancel any time membership for 2 months but they made me pay the annual fee to cancel. So I paid over $80 to cancel a membership I had for less then 2 months due to the unprofessional staff!

I’ve been going to Crunch for over 2 years, switching between the Shelbyville Rd and Dixie Hwy locations. I had been trying to switch my home gym to the Dixie location but was told by both locations I needed to do it at the other one; it took several phone calls and trips to both gyms before the issue was resolved. Today, I spoke to a young woman at the front desk shortly after checking in regarding the communication issues between the gyms themselves and between the gyms and their paying customers; her response was “Well, that’s never going to change. We are constantly hiring new people and you can’t expect us to train them all and for them to communicate that way.” If you’re looking for a gym with poor communication, a revolving door of employees, and no resolutions to issues customers face, then this may be the one for you!

The Crunch Fitness Dixie Location is a great facility to get a workout that fits everyone's needs. Equipment includes many treadmills and ellipticals, Olympic weight lifting areas and free weights and also machines that make it easy to get a 30 minute weight lifting session in. However, my favorite is the group fitness opportunities such as cycling, HITT and group weight training. We're lucky to have this location in the Dixie highway area so close to home!a

Been going to this location for years. There was a time it was not the greatest place to work out. Extremely dirty, lazy staff, equipment down for extended periods of time... over the past few months it has turned around substantially. MacKenzie has the place cleaner than it's been probably since it opened, very friendly, staff has improved, all around much better gym atmosphere. I went months debating on changing to a different gym, but as long as it keeps going the way it is with the right people involved, I will be there. And I'm not big on the classes, but if I did do one I'd have to sign up for Marie's class. She's super awesome to chat with and her classes always look super fun!

I decided not to continue going back because after a couple of visits a guy named Brandon at the front desk embarrassed me in front of my daughter saying she couldn't come as my guest to class. We couldn't catch a break on the treadmills because a lot of them are out of order so we decided to start class. I was actually getting excited about working out in my life. I've been trying to reach someone in management regarding a refund for training sessions that I did not approve. Supervisor Makenzie promised to call me back on memorial day and I still have not heard from her. Staff refused to give me anything other then a email address for her supervisor, Tyler and he won't respond. I have completed my 3 month and 6 paid installments contract for personal training services. When I told my PT I no longer wanted to continue he told me he would take care of it , he later messaged me and said that I would have to come in and fill out a form . When I came in to fill out the form they told me that my PT also had to be there to fill out the form . I went back and spoke to my PT what was told of me , I then asked him if will be getting charged still since I completed my contract . He promised me not to worry about that because I will not be getting charged . A week later my card gets charged again. I called crunch and spoke with the PT director, she informed me that I am unable to get a refund but I could still use 2 work out sessions. But from now on she has pushed the cancellation form and I will NO LONGER get charged again . I asked her if I need to come sign anything , she told me that I didn't have to ( which I have all in voice recording) A week later when I got to fulfill the PT they still charged me for I am told that another payment is pending , and that they are currently working on speaking with the PT directors boss to see what's going on , and then proceeded to ask me if I would like to go ahead and schedule those sessions to which I have declined, called my bank and cancelled my card. Because Crunch has made this a nightmare to deal with I will no longer be a member at Crunch since I had a month to month pass. I have text messages and voice recordings telling me I won't be getting charged anymore, and I will pursue legal actions if I have to .

This gym is always dirty the womens bathrooms are never clean no matter what time u come trash cans are always full.The sauna floors are dirty I don’t believe it’s safe for anyone to take a shower .Several times I have used a stall and no toilet paper is available. Staff is mixed some have good personality and some don’t have a lick of customer service .I get it hire who u can I see they have a high turn over rate so no need to mention them I have seen hundreds of people come and go and that is a good combination for nothing ever changing at this gym pertaining to cleanliness.I addressed a manager today about no toilet in the stall and she was very rude sharp and snappy with her response as if I was getting on her nerves. Perhaps this is something that should be looked at or tended to daily that way u don’t have managers aggravated by customers not being able to wipe clean after using the restroom,maybe just like clean wipes and hand sanitizer I also need to start bringing my own toilet tissue.U recently added to the gym which is ok but if u are going to continue to keep the gym filthy u will lose customers

The cleanliness of this place is a disaster. The trash cans are always full, the paper towel dispensers are empty often, 2 of 4 HydroMassage beds are out of order. Janitorial is a complete joke. Please ban cameras and tripods, it's getting ridiculous. People workout on the bench press while having their tripods at the dumbbell rack. This needs to be addressed, it's getting to be a safety concern

Last year this was a 5 star gym. In the last year though it has just declined rapidly. Its hard to believe how dirty and in disrepair it is there now. Trash overflowing everywhere, no towel paper or disinfectant spray anywhere, piss all over the toilets, spittle and snot on the mirrors, broken lockers, NO BENCHES IN THE LOCKER ROOM, tanning beds are missing lights, cable machines are in constant disrepair, no one, literally no one re-racks their weights and the new issue is that the staff now plays the most vulgar trap music over the PA so loud that you have to yell to talk to someone right next to you. So loud that you can't even wear headphones to not hear it. The staff that are there are rude and even hostile when a complaint is brought to their attention. For example when asking for towel paper and disinfectant the responses have been 1. Dismissive walking away and 2. Advisement to go to Planet Fitness-or something like that. It's hard to tell because again the trap music is loud if your not yelling at the top of your lungs you can't make out what the other person is saying.

Went inside the facility to close out my account, after not attending for 6 months r/t an injury. The Manager Peyton totally disregarded me, and blew me off as I waited. I was told by staff she would come out of office in 10 minutes to talk to me. She did come out but never acknowledge me sitting there waiting while she came out to talk to her staff. Second Rep stated oh it will be an hour wait now. The Manager never looked my way and she knew I was there to see her. I was told she would call me. Of course, she never called me. My experience was poor service with substandard professionalism.

I love the gym, just wish they’d clean more, the mirrors stay dirty. All of them. Like every mirror is dirty. I literally only see one person cleaning and she’s not very big so she prob can’t reach the mirrors but yea it’s dirty. The location on Bardstown rd is my favorite because of cleanliness but Dixie loc is closer so I frequent there more. I just wish it was more sanitary and clean.

I have been attending this facility since around the time it opened.
It feels like the ones running it stopped caring about the over all cleanliness of the facility.
From over stuffed trash cans to a complete unavailability of cleaning product. Such as having to go-to one side of the gym for paper towels and then another for spray.

As a member at Crunch for almost 3yrs, this used to be a really good gym. However, it has declined from when I 1st started coming. The place is always dirty. I’m a person who likes to actually wipe down the machines before and after using them. None of the cleaning stations ever have paper towels or spray bottles that work. If there is a spray bottle it’s more than likely empty or doesn’t work. It’s bad enough when people don’t wipe down the equipment after using it, but I at least had the option to wipe them down before using. Now there isn’t even an option to clean. EVERY mirror in the gym is filthy and has been dirty for MONTHS. I don’t know the last time I looked in a mirror and it was clean. Trash cans in the group fitness room and bathroom are always overflowing with trash. The music is played so loudly in the gym that there is no point listening to your own music with your own headphones because a lot of the time I can’t even hear my own music loud enough with the feedback from how loud the music is being played in the gym. The amount of equipment that doesn’t get re-racked in the HIIT area is ridiculous too. People put tons of weight on the bars and just walk off and leave it. Dumbbells and equipment are usually laying everywhere scattered around. I’ve driven 25 minutes to different locations, but I unfortunately am not able to make that long of a drive everyday for the gym, when the one on Dixie is conveniently located by where I live. I have tried sending an email about these issues to the manager and never received a response back, so maybe this will help to get some of these issues resolved.

I want with a couple of friends I like working out here I ended up getting my own membership. It's a good atmosphere, but I wish they keep it a little cleaner specially the bathroom and sauna areas

Estoy decepcionada de este gym aparte que se debe tolerar el olor horrible que trae algunas personas, el personal d ella noche no está al pendiente en la sala de musculación hay personas que fuman dentro de la sala hasta en el baño por dios donde está el personal. No obstante el volumen de la música pasa el limite señores no estamos en una discoteca estamos en un gym donde si es mejor no escuchar música genial pero está bien colocar música para ambientar el sitio no para que te estrese y te duela la cabeza, se le dice al personal que baje la música y lo que dicen es que la manager la dejo así y ellos no la pueden bajar. Señors o señor manager de le agradece dejar una música con un volumen moderado no uno que te explore la cabeza y que quieras irte porque no te deja entrenar. Entrenas o escuchas música
