I like the gym because I go in and focus.The steamroom is not the best but I will say a garbage it what people leave in it.the gym staff is movation and cool. I will state have to walk up stairs for the treadmill that fine.better than planet fitness.I got great results with strength.if any ask about that i will say just go to the gym and stay dedicated and keep the gym clean and throw away your garbage 🗑 its a nice scenery

I didn't like it. I think the place is dirty, the weights are all mixed up, there are people smoking inside, and people are walking around shirtless. There isn't enough material to clean each machine.

I had came here to workout 2am and my good friend Kellz who works during the night makes the environment so welcoming and uplifting. I had shared a personal conversation and grew as a person both physically, mentally, and spiritually.
The equipment here quite versatile and always spice up the routine for some change into sessions.
If any locals workout during the night, I would recommend this establishment the place to Be! WINTER ARC!!! 💪💪💪

Crunch is great. I recommend going early, as it gets very busy in the afternoon. Free weights are available along with machines and a crossfire section. If the purple gym is on your nerves, hit Crunch.

I was feeling unsure about joining the gym and had so many questions, But after meeting one of the staff members, Kim Luján, I felt completely at ease. She was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. Thanks to her patience and kindness, I felt confident enough to join the gym on Outerloop—and now I absolutely love it!

Never again will I come to this location. Bunch of inconsiderate people not reracking weights and all the dumbbells are out of numerical order. Clearly the members don’t care and neither do the employees because they’re so out of order it doesnt seem employees even fix them. Inconsiderate location with a lot of kids working out. Not nearly enough attachments for cable machines, this location is honestly the worst gym location I’ve ever been to. Gum on the wall in the shower. Water fountain not cold. This is crazy how bad it is. Paper towels in the urinal, the inconsiderate moves are one after another. Final straw was I thought all the people working out in jeans, crocs, socks, and sandals was bad enough… dude came over without a shirt on and started lifting next to me. This location is insane, never again

In the locker room, almost all lockers are closed and occupied, even at 7 a.m. on Saturday, while there are very few people in the gym. It seems that many just reserve “personal” lockers, and the staff does nothing about it.
Nobody puts the weights and equipment back in place, which creates disorder and inconvenience.
The showers are dirty, with a lot of trash on the floor, and the gym itself is quite dusty.
I hope the management pays attention to these issues, as cleanliness and order are important for all members.
Surprised that almost all the dumbbells are actually in place.👍

When I signed up I was told I could cancel online or through the app at any time. This turned out to be a lie. The website still claims I can cancel online but that is also a lie because I called this location and they were adamant that I had to come in personally to cancel. VERY shady business practices going on here. Don't trust them.

Every time I walk into Crunch Fitness, I’m greeted with big smiles at the front desk, which instantly sets the tone for a great workout. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and genuinely makes you feel like part of the community.

I wish I can give this location ZERO! Today I came to check the outer loop location so i can be part of it, I asked about the 7 days free pass. The Manager her name is Mia was absolutely so rude, non professional. She asked me if i have my driver license which is insane to ask, when I asked her why she said we need to make sure it’s you, i told here i been before in different location in middle town years ago and no body asked me for ID when I hade my membership back then.
I told her my ID was in the car and if I can just walk to my friends so I can pick up the key from him to give her the ID, She did not allow me to go and pick up the keys from my friend and I had to wait until my friend come to the lobby and then I provide her with the ID. During all this time, she did not smile. She was not polite I felt unwelcome!!!
I would definitely not coming back to any location for a Crunch or refer any friends to Crunch. If Mia I cannot handle the customers professionally. I suggest she just stay home and give people bad vibes.

This is the WORST gym to go to, unless you don’t pay for a membership & wanna go for free bc no one is ever at the desk from 5am-6am 95% of the time, they don’t answer the phone, they don’t clean the bathrooms or the tanning beds. And 50% of the time the beds aren’t even working. I’ve been paying for a membership for over a year & majority of the time I come, I’m not even able to use all of the perks of my membership bc no one wants to be at the front counter. But I guess I’ll cancel my membership & just start walking in for free :)

This gym would be so awesome if we didn't work out with a bunch of 2nd graders who can't put their weights back where they belong. The dumbell rack is the most out of order I've ever seen in my life. It irritates the hell out of me when I have to spend a whole 2 minutes hunting down what I need. I like to keep moving, I'm actually here to train, not be on my phone or stand around talking like othere. then if it isn't that the plates are scattered everywhere, I literally just watched one of the trainers not have his client re-rack his weights too. It's to the point where me and my buddy started calling people out on this garbage when we see it. I even messaged the CEO letting him know the issues, instead of writing back and attempting to make changes or even apologize for my experience there, he didn't even respond at all and he blocked me. The members are children, they piss all over the toilet seats, leave a mess of toilet paper on the floor, you name it. I don't know what happened to gym eddiquette but this place really doesn't push it.
2025 update:
Just went in there today for the first time in probably 2 years, never went back because this location is so aweful, today however was the closest and only one I my fiance and I could go because we were in a big rush. Mind you, it's our closest one but we literally will drive to any other one any other day just because of how bad it is here. To update my review though, I see nothing has changed, we still workout with small children at this location, almost went off on a guy a few Machines down because he was vaping between his sets and blowing it everywhere, notified the employees that if they didn't say something to him that I would and there would be an altercation. The dumbell rack is just as disorganized as ever, just as many plates all over the place as ever, napkins on the floor everywhere just as always, just pure lazy people in there working out making no gains. The members are lazy and so are the employees, hands down worst gym I've ever been to. Added a photo I took today of the floor upstairs.

I been coming here for awhile and recently I had a problem where I needed help asap due to medical condition and I lost my vision was able to make to employee name carlos and his voice was very familiar from all the times he speaks to me when I enter and exit and I handed him my phone asked him to dial a number for me not did he offer help he went above and beyond to help me I have a condition if my pulse out of fear/anxiety reaches a certain level i can loose my vision up to 15 mins or when that pulse comes down. Today I came in and made a mess I was going to clean it up carlos told me dont worry about it he will take care of it. I want to always make a point to point out the humanity i see out there and once again let tyler know he has a great team working for him. Just know i appreciate carlos for the kindness he displays in his people skills working at crunch fitness. I think crunch is the best gym in louisville because they have great staff leadership and humanity

I would like to say Thank You and Thank You to Ms.Kim . She went up and beyond to help me resolve an issue, even though it took weeks to get it resolved she made sure she kept in contact with me through email Every step of the way, even if that required multiple emails a day. I was on the verge of reconsidering crunch as a gym but when I saw how compassionate Ms. Kim was about her job and how she wanted to help me resolve the issue it changed my mind. I have the highest tier membership so i am reviewing for this location only. The fittness instructors, Matt for barbell 45, Autumn with cardio tai box, rop to bottom burn out, and extreme hotzone, and Michelle with zumba are all great. 5 stars for the fittness classes and their instructors. The location is clean and organized. The workers seem knowlegable. My only complaint is that often times i have had to wait 10-15 minutes before someone would show up at the front counter when wanting to get set up with the hydro massager.

Assistant manager Chris was very helpful in explaining packages and classes offered . The staff at the front desk are friendly, always greeting guests as they come in and willing to help. The locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean when I come in. One of the better Crunch locations in my opinion .

The only benefit I have to this gym is that it’s a few minutes from my house. The staff is TERRIBLE the gym is often dirty full trash cans, weights thrown all over the place, empty containers and paper towels to clean off equipment, the sauna in the women’s locker room is often broken AND speaking of the women’s locker room they clearly don’t abide by their own rules when it comes to lockers there have been locks on these same lockers for MONTHS that have never been removed or taken off which causes others to not be able to use the lockers it’s clear that the lockers are not for daily use only. And somehow my membership just randomly went up without notice and no changes. Anyway save your money chain gyms are trash

I rushed and signed a contract because it was one penny to join and they said that was the very last day although that was a lie. I went into cancel after not using the gym one single time and they charged me $80. The fees were for the yearly dues and for June payment. I explained to them I would be moving to a different state and they told me there was nothing they could do. I explained I had not even walked in the door since joining due to moving and also you have to call to cancel your membership which is very convenient for them but not so convenient to someone that can't get to the gym. There was no upper level person I could speak to. They said they did not exist at the time. My son has been a member there for many years (I pay for his membership) and I had been a member there a while back. We were loyal customers and this is what we get. She turned her computer around and zoomed into the tiny print on the contract that I signed and said "sorry we didn't talk you through it but you did it online and signed it." Why would any business charge a customer almost $100 for absolutely nothing. It does not make any sense to me. Their gimmicks to hurry and sign up because the deal will be gone is a bunch of Lies. Every time one ends the same one starts over the next day. They just want to rush and get you in there to sign without benefiting you at all, just themselves. I will be canceling my son's membership at the end of his term (august) and we will not be returning to any Crunch Fitness no matter where the location is due to this terrible customer service.

The gym is just okay, but there are some serious issues that need to be addressed. The dumbbells are never in their proper place, which means I spend more time searching for the right weights than actually working out. Organization is a basic expectation in any gym, and this place falls short.
Additionally, there’s a barefoot woman who is allowed to walk around the gym freely. This is not only unsanitary but also a safety hazard—both for her and everyone else. It’s surprising that the staff hasn’t enforced basic hygiene and safety rules.
If management can step up and fix these problems, this gym would be much more enjoyable. Until then, it’s just mediocre at best.
Update Look… I like Crunch. The vibe, the equipment, the early hours all great. But we gotta talk about The Barefoot Bandit.
Every morning around 5:30 AM, sis strolls in barefoot. I’m talking straight from the parking lot into the gym. No shoes, no socks, just ten toes down on every surface imaginable. It’s giving Tarzan does leg day.
And the wild part? She walks right past staff like it’s totally normal. Meanwhile, I’m over here dodging invisible germs like it’s a cardio warmup.
Crunch Outer Loop, I say this with love this ain’t a yoga retreat in Bali. It’s a gym. Where people sweat. Please address this before someone catches athlete’s foot just from making eye contact with the floor.
Do better. For the sake of our soles (and souls).

I posted previously that there was no maintenance happening. Kim from crunch reached out to me personally by phone when she saw my review. I’ve got peak. Equipment is nice but staff are not the friendliest, particularly the men working tonight. Staff tonight in general weren’t very happy to be there. The lockers are frequently packed, it makes me wonder if they’re ever checked. I know we’re only there to workout, I just wish staff were kinder and more willing to help.

My biggest complaint is the sauna. It is so hit or miss. Sometimes I sit in it for 20 minutes and don’t break a sweat. It’s an entire waste of time and it’s been down several times since I joined.

Cheap gym with a good location. Can get very busy. Also things are broke frequently, especially the sauna. Toilet paper and paper towels seem to be hard to come by here. Overall worth the 10 a month but definitely leaves much to be desired.
Update: more of the same, broken sauna, they just fixed the water fountain after a month, you get a good workout looking for dumbells. Overall a major disappointment. Definitely looking for a new gym.

I usually go to the Crunch in Outer Loop everyday with family, friends, and sometimes with my boyfriend. I was with my boyfriend when first I opened my account, the person who helped me said it was fine for me to put the account under my name and have my boyfriend take the picture (due to me not feeling comfortable at the time). After that; every time I went to this crunch or another crunch they’d always let me inside because of my first name and last name matching my ID. This day March 7, 2025 as I entered to go do my regular workout I entered the gym and scanned my phone as normal. This guy who is White, Skinny, blonde and curly. He’s a new manager there at the Crunch at Outer loop and was very rude and drove me to the point where I just straight up cancelled my membership ship. Bad experience

Customer service is terrible, I am my wife's guest, we go together every day and the guys who control the entrance know it, just for one day she couldn't go and I went with her cell phone and the application to check in and they didn't let me in, they asked me for 10 USD to let me in. Just for one day it's terrible so I'm going to cancel the subscription for us and some friends who came together, we're going to Planet Fitness. Just for one day they will stop having 4 clients of the year

M telling you they play policy games ..this is our policy that is our policy...just to take away your money ... Been going to this gym after school for about 3-4 months now and honestly I don't understand the hate. The weightlifting machines and cardio machines have a good variety, the people are usually always nice, and the employees that work there are usually nice too. The only bad thing about this place is the dumbell area, the dumbells are usually out of place which is a given because people won't put them back either way, but I wish someone was fixing it every now and then. Other than that a great gym and have made some great progress with this place.

I never have problems here as. Well this evening I needed to know about my account and see how much I owe due text messages I kept getting. The GM pulls my account and told me I'm like 3 months behind on my bill. I explained to her that I should only owe one month. I told her due to personal reasons of why. I showed her bank statement and she still tried to say I owed. At this point I'm like whatever I'm not paying for months I already paid. So short story of one star review this woman called me broke and basically was saying I was lying. Who the world calls someone out at a vulnerable moment in there life. I never will interact with this lady.

There have never been and likely will never be 15kg/35# barbells here. I've mentioned this on the surveys emailed to me several times. I hate when I have to use this gym out of necessity on the weekends bc hook gripping the 20kg barbells with my tiny ass hands is near impossible.
December 2024: exterior door alarm by the lifting platforms has been beeping (probably due to low battery or malfunction) for at least 3 months. I guess management are the type of people that aren't changing their smoke alarm batteries at home either bc this shit is wild. Every 30 seconds a beep.
August 2024: the floors in this place are NOT cleaned. I've added video of the women's locker room floor from August 11th and a picture of the same dirty foot prints on the locker room floor on August 31st. TWENTY DAYS WITHOUT BEING CLEANED THOROUGHLY! The sauna floor is equally as gross.
Feb 2024: The cleanliness has gotten a tiny bit better. The lifting platforms and sauna are not as dirty as they were. This location seems so busy that they would need a professional cleaning team every night - the one or two folks working is not enough for that amount of space.
Dec 2023: I only go here because they have lifting platforms and a sauna - both of which are always disgusting. I try to clean everything before I use it as well as after, but you can't clean the knurling on a barbell with paper towels - it shreds them. The barbells turn my hands and shins black. The lifting platforms haven't been swept or mopped in weeks. I don't think the sauna has ever been swept or mopped. I understand they're hiring for an overnight janitorial person, but it makes sense to hire a cleaning company if you don't have the staff to do it yourself. C'mon y'all.
Every week that I use the sauna, it's the same dirt and debris on the floor. 🥴

This location always has issues. Computers always down at night can't get drinks, can't tan, can do anything. Then the sauna half the time don't work. Equipment broken for weeks. Been a member for almost 2 years myself and wife and son and bunch of friends. Tired of our normal night workouts and extras never working. Actually travel to other locations before to have the same Computer issues.

Staff are cool and always great with greetings.. then the handicap parking is always full with people that don't even have handicap passes. I have a bunch of medical issues and have emergency meds in my car and sometimes need to get to them quick.. i hope they enforce the handicap areas get a tow company to start towing them people then maybe us with handicap passes can park there. The ADA will eventually fine them and the city will start ticketing cars. Ppl be considerate there are actual handicap ppl that try to go to the gym..

Please do something about the men’s lockers. 75 percent have locks in them which just stay on them 24/7. Even when the gym is not crowded most of the lockers are locked with same locks. Already told front desk which they said they were aware and going to take care of it. That was several weeks ago.

I like the setup and the machines available. However, the gym is never clean, and they always have empty paper towel dispensers and spray bottles. This does not encourage cleaning after the use of machines/weights. Also, the sauna is not consistently working. Overall, I like the gym, I would love it if they clean it better and fixed the sauna issue.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this place. I canceled my membership at and made sure the staff confirmed the cancellation. Despite this, they continued to collect the monthly payments from my account. I contacted several times to resolve the issue, but did not receive any solution or refund for the improper charges.
If you are looking for a gym with transparent practices and good customer service, this is not the place. I recommend checking out other options before signing up here.

I moved to a different state where there isn’t a crunch location and I had the absolute worst time canceling my membership from here. I thought I had canceled it two months ago when they told me to send an email letting them know that I will no longer go to that gym. I had even called a month later to verify they had received my email, which they did. I was still charged for another month. I called again to understand why I was still charged even though I sent the necessary information they requested and they told me I have to pay $60 cancel my membership or wait for another 5 months to cancel. This information was not communicated with me when I initially called and when I called again to receive confirmation that they received my cancellation email. So now I have been charged for another month plus $60 for something that I thought should have been resolved.

Yeah.. I tried to see and give this place time for a half way decent review., I’ve been waiting five weeks for them to transfer my account and change my plan to something else.. it should not take five weeks to change a plan., it should take all of five minutes.. it’s been cleaner lately but yeah there are time it gets gross in there.. the free weights are never in order.. the computers are always down at night.. I hate planet fitness because I think their employees are weird and children of the corn like and almost cult like. Their client base too.. Having issues with Personal training where I have been wanting everything to be cancelled after my 90 day contract but still getting charged after. Email the head trainer and get no information. On why I'm still getting charged.
The gym itself was fine. Most of the time wasn't very busy so I can work out pretty much what I want but the bathroom was pretty dirty all the times I was there.
I would still go if they would ever get with me about why I'm still being charged and get a refund for all of the Personal training. But the trainer I had for those 3 months were great.

* update* after not having a good experience a random truck driver with an awful twitch and shoes that were more for walking on gravel and the poor guy couldn’t even show me the exercises and how to do them. He wasn’t the original trainer they paired me with he was someone they threw me with at the last minute bc they didn’t have anyone else. The energy was very rude and condescending when I was ask to use my finger print and I said I rather not, they laughed at me mockingly and told me what did it matter everyone else does. I end up cancelling my membership to only realize I have been charge since April and my membership had not been cancelled! We are now in October and I was told I couldn’t cancel again without coming in. I said well can you pause it until I can get there I’m on bed rest? I was told no both would have to be in person Or I would have to email. I emailed with no Response only to go in today physically and Ben told the email I was given they don’t check! So why give me an email that isn’t checked? I assume this is a way to keep your cancellation from being address and incur yet another billing cycle in hopes you forget. the location at Fegenbush paused my son whose in college membership, he attends that location faithfully. They did this over the phone without a problem! I’m sorry but my experience isn’t a good one at this location at all and management and the front counter isn’t In sync with each other and makes it hard to get simple task done and finalized. I just wouldn’t recommend them for personal training and this location doesn’t give good adequate support to their clients
My issue is when signing up I mention the $1 free month membership. I wasn’t given it. I was referred to the gym by 3 other family members one of which is taking training there. I called the next day immediately and told Shane who seem confused at first about the whole thing and was content with telling me he couldn’t do anything. When I told him that wasn’t sufficient and there was a new employee whom first day was the day I signed up, who also didn’t show me the facility or told me anything (kid first day, I get it) Shane didn’t use the opportunity to apologize or to say hey when you come in let me take you on a tour and tell you about the options and amenities we have. He just blew me off and then said he would refund my 52.99 and it would be in my account and that was that. He said there was an activation fee that would be coming out and I ask at that time if you can just move it over to cover the activation fee and I’ll pay the difference, he said he couldn’t. No, not an apology, not an acknowledgment of any sort for the incident nor the lack of showing me the facility. Fast forward to 3 days ago, I called to ask about pausing my membership before I head out as I work out of state and North Dakota doesn’t have CRUNCH in Bowman area. Shane answered and said sure but you have to come in and sign off on it. I pull in 2 minutes later and ask him about signing the doc. He pulled up my acct and the details only to tell me I would have to wait until the activation fee came out which was November 1. I told him I couldn’t be gone by then as I leave on the 10/30. At this time I ask him to look back and see if i was credited for the membership fee that I don’t believe was applies to my acct. After doing so he realizes i was correct and still wasn’t credited.

The owner did call me and informed me that the locker room was promptly cleaned and that they were sorry about having to see that. They also informed me that they were just now able to hire a male member of management which I think is a valid reason for it not being cleaned. The weights still aren’t racked most times but there probably isn’t a whole lot they can do about that. Overall I would say management does actually care and I’m glad they actually seem to be taking feedback seriously.
This gym is dirtyyyy. Showers probably haven’t been cleaned in weeks and the sauna hardly ever works. When the sauna does work, there is usually dirt everywhere. Weights are never put back and people leave trash everywhere

My personal feelings toward crunch fitness is for me someone who suffers from a agoraphobia and physical disabilities as well. Tyler is amazing director who understands the struggles for someone like me and hires amazing staff who go the extra mile to create a environment for someone like me to feel safe and comfortable. It's not easy for me to share this post but I felt needed to point out to tyler and his team a special and unique employee name Kalia who treats me like family when I'm there. On st patrick day Kalia saw me out in public.
When I fell she came to my rescue. I have service dog for mobility and stability she immediately recognize me from the gym and helped me up. I wanted to do this post to thank tyler for all he has done and Kalia for her humanity she shows to her fellow human beings and when I'm at the gym she looks out for my safety and she is a true asset to crunch and to tyler as well as the entire Crunch team. Thank you so much to both of you (Tyler Gress and Kalia). I want to add to this review and hope tyler will get it. I was at the outer look gym and I met this employee a few times he always shows he happy to be there greets me. He goes out of his always his name is Alex and he is a true asset to crunch. I can honestly say that he definitely has alot of humanity and with all the times I talked to him I can say I see him as a friend now. That shows that crunch is a great gym and tyler goes out of his way to make sure he has a good staff. Tyler if you see this can you tell Alex that he represents crunch fitness well and I don't know if you do anything special when customers write a review about a employee but if you do can you do something for alex at the outer loop gym and Alex if you see this keep doing what you do and show the humanity and thank you

El proceso de facturación es un gran enredo. Fui hace 5 o 6 meses aproximadamente a cancelar mi membresía y me dijeron que no se podía porque el contrato era de año completo. Cuando vuelvo a ir, tenia par de meses atrasado, pago toda la deuda, la muchacha que me atiende me dice que al próximo día me saldría una factura del pago del mes para poder cancelar, lo acepto y resulta que automáticamente me cobró el mes más el otro año que yo no contraté y la que me atiende me dice que en el sistema no aparece ninguna solicitud mía de cancelación y me pregunta que si yo tenia pruebas de ese proceso. Que más pruebas que realizar el pago. En fin, después de un largo día espero que ya no me salga más ninguna factura.
PD: En aquel momento pensé que no me saldrían más facturas, hoy un mes después me vuelven a cobrar de la tarjeta. Fui a reclamar para que me devolvieran lo que cobraron y ahora me explican que este es el último mes ya me lo han dicho varías veces y aún continúan cobrándome. Ahora la muchacha después de decirme que yo no tenía pruebas de eso y cuando le dije que si la tengo porque ella misma me lo imprimió me dice que si aparece mi cancelación pero que no la han procesado que. Según ella, van a enviar un correo para que me devolvieran el dinero, pero debo de esperar hasta dos semanas. No se hasta cuando será esta situación. I am currently a personal training client. My complaint is about the personal training director and general manager. My trainer is awesome but he had to change his schedule so I went from twice a week training to once a week training as of 4/15/24. Since then, I have been charged every week, either for the twice a week or once a week training amount. This has resulted in over $760 of incorrect charges. I have reached out to the personal training director multiple times. The latest (incorrect) charge processed on 5/31/24. My husband and I spent over 2 hours trying to reach the director. When he finally spoke with us, he basically gave zero information. In addition to calling, messaging my trainer, leaving messages via actual humans, sending emails, and using the Contact Us function, literally no one has assisted us. It’s clear that the incorrect charge will process again on 6/14 (2 weeks after the 5/31 incorrect charge) and it’s almost $200. I can’t afford to pay for 2 training amounts and the monthly charges and the customer service has been incredibly disappointing.

The billing practice is very predatory. They will renew your membership without warning. When you attempt to cancel and refund the membership within 24 hours of renewal they tell you that you get access to the gym for the remainder of the last month of payment, and since you have access they can't refund your yearly fee, only stop the next monthly fee. Don't sign up, they're scammy billing practices aren't worth the hassle.

My boyfriend and I switched from Planet Fitness because we wanted to try Crunch Fitness when a location opened up near our work. I could leave a 20 page review about all the great things that this gym chain has to offer and it still wouldn't be everything. Crunch is absolutely amazing. The equipment is wonderful and well maintained. There is an amazing variety of machines and there is something for everyone. I focus on cardio and my boyfriend focuses on strength and we both feel very fulfilled once we leave the gym. The staff is friendly and helpful and the gym is clean and makes everyone feel welcomed. A family member of mine is disabled and he has anxiety but always feels welcomed when he goes to Crunch Fitness. Also, it doesn't matter whether u are a novice or experienced gym goer. Whatever your Fitness level...Crunch Fitness can accommodate. I've been to many gyms: Everyday Athletes, Etown Swim and Fitness, Factory, LA Fitness, Esporta, Gold's Gym, Ballys etc. But Crunch stands tall above all of these. The main reason why I continue to support Crunch Fitness is simple:Tyler Gress, the area director for Kentucky and Indiana. Tyler is very professional, compassionate, and cares about the Crunch Fitness members. He is always ready to offer a helping hand and he makes everyone feel valued and seen. He talks to you as if you are a friend and if there is ever an issue he will resolve it for you quickly and efficiently. Tyler Gress is definitely an asset to Crunch Fitness and deserves all the recognition and praise in the world. Whatever he is being paid should be doubled and he deserves a promotion. He is definitely one of the greatest human beings that I have ever met in my entire life. I continue to call Crunch Fitness my gym of choice because of Tyler and because of the wonderful things that Crunch has to offer. I am losing weight and feeling great. I continue to tell my friends and co workers about my gym experience and they have started to sign up to become members of Crunch as well. In addition to many machines, there is also classes, saunas, and hot yoga at some locations. Anyone interested in Fitness should definitely give Crunch Fitness a try. I love the outerloop, middletown, and fern creek locations the most. The staff at these locations are also amazing.

Went to check out this gym today, was considering joining. However, I’m overall not impressed and will not be joining. It looks like a nice gym but customer service is huge for me and this place really lacks it. When I entered, no one said hello and there was a group standing behind the desk. Immediately I was hit with a strong unpleasant smell. I asked if I could get a tour and was told currently, no one was there to sign me up or go over membership. The girl told me I could sign in on a tablet and look around. I attempted to sign in but the tablet wasn’t loading, so I laid it down and looked around. When I was leaving, I was told if I wanted to go online and sign up for a membership, then they could take me on a tour and tell me about the gym. That seems a little backwards. Why wouldn’t you want to sell me on the gym to encourage me to sign up? I’ll check out one of the other locations.

Update - I officially disdain this gym. I was told multiple times by different employees that my membership would automatically cancel at the end of my 12 month contract, unless I opt-in for auto renewal. Well, I come to find they have still been charging my credit card and somehow my account was set to automatically renew - the opposite of what I was told. Manager then refused to refund my money even though it is the wrong-doing of the employees for giving me false information. She said she needed proof of the previous phone call conversations....how could I possibly provide that? Had I known they were going to scam me I would have recorded the calls. Lesson learned. Truly bad business practices and bad management.

The biggest downfall is it's SO CROWDED after work. People stand behind the strength machines to wait in a line to use them. I've never seen a gym have waiting lines for equipment.
Moreover, the gym is very bro-ey, extremely male-dominated, and as a female, I don't feel comfortable working out there sometimes. L.A. Fitness had a women-only strength training area and I really wish more gyms would adopt that concept. The bathrooms smell bad and doesn't seem like anyone is cleaning or maintaining the facility. I want to cancel my Crunch membership at this point but unfortunately I signed a 12-month contract so I have to ride it out.

There was a bloody bandaid on the mats... for hours. Unacceptable, especially when the three closest cleaning stations were all out of paper towels. Not to mention the men's room stalls commonly being out of toilet paper.

Pros: Nice new facility, good equipment, good amount of space and amenities, great trainers and classes, friendly staff.
Cons: The dumbells are pure chaos. It's never the cleanest (but not dirty either per se), and the cardio area is usually HOT, and they don't police people filming so some days you have to navigate a field of tripods and it can be super unnerving.
Either way it's worth a try.

I had high expectations when this gym opened earlier this year, but the gym culture is terrible.
The free weights are laying around the gym most everyday. The men’s locker room is regularly dirty most every morning. Tanning beds software system is broken more than it should be.
