The equipment obviously isn't well cared for. I had a hard time finding an elliptical with a TV that works. The Wi-Fi was down for almost 3 weeks when I finally cancelled my membership. Other than the guy who signed me up the employees didn't seem to care if I was happy or not.

I chose this place for two reasons: it’s one of the few gyms in the area that doesn’t require you to give your account number and routing number to them to sign up (HUGE for me, security/privacy) and it has everything I’m looking for but not a lot of people there at any given time. I really don’t like working out in a crowded gym (No privacy, have to wait in line to use any equipment, etc)
This gym has an indoor track that I use all the time, it has a lot of private spaces for spinning, classes, racquetball, swimming. The staff have been friendly when I need something.

Clean place. Certainly an older gym with a recent upgrade. Dumbells go up to 125 and there is ample equipment and machines. Standard large box gym that seems cared for. Would highly recommend for anyone including bodybuilders. No deadlift platforms, but thats about the only drawback.

I do not visit this gym on a regular basis for multiple reasons.
1. I have a bad back and the ergonomic bikes they offer ARE NOT ergonomic.
2. I can only use the pool because of the bike situation and it is NOT warm.
3. The showers take forever to warm up then it's slow going anyway, because the water pressure is not very strong. You have to walk nude or wrapped in a towel to the dressing stalls that are not close to the showers at all. Even the tiny college I went to had an area inside each shower stall that was kept dry and you could keep your clothes there while showering and then get dressed there afterward as well.

The gyms are nice and not too crowded. It's impossible without a lawyer to get out of the contract though so be sure it fits before signing.
The trainers are a separate group with the organization. To be fair it's almost impossible to get results 2 or even 4 times a week for just 30 minutes no matter how good the trainer may be. I've had enough bad experiences to wish that I had never signed up for training and they will not break that contract even if there isn't a trainer that you can use. Skip paying for a trainer and get a program online.

As I looked back on this I noticed that the name has been changed. It was originally for LA Fitness. I don't know who Esports Fitness is.

Can we get CBS programmed into the TVs? Of the 15 channels that you offer, how is CBS not one of them? I can get this channel on the rabbit ear TV I have sitting in my basement.

Is there a plan to upgrade the spin bikes? Those things are as old as the rabbit ear tv in my basement. You have great spin instructors, but I have to drive to Crescent Springs to attend a class because the bikes are so bad. I even understand replacing some bikes gradually and not all at once.

Those are the only problems I have. I have been with LA for over 7 years and they have been good to me.

They will sit you down like a used car salesmen and try to sell you personal training from trainers who have little to no education on how to train someone or create a program. They will try to pressure you for about a half hour in a room interrogation style until you agree to sign an agreement that they tell you is for 2 weeks of free training when its actually a 12 month contract for paid training. Very poor selection of weight training equipment. Overall worst commercial gym I have ever been to.

The equipment is not up date for how much they are charging over here and they do not communicate well within their own staff. For example I requested to cancel my account before I was shipped out for military orders only to find that 5 months later my account was still active and I had payments each month taken out of my bank account for a service I was unable to use. I received a membership for a gift. The LA Fitness of Florence, KY is not so great. The equipment needs to be repaired and or updated. As much money as LA Fitness charges for memberships, I would think these issues would not exist. The staff is not interested in helping anyone—without a flash of cash! This gym is dark and gloomy with poor ventilation and a lack of cleanliness. I will continue my membership at the Fort Mitchell branch. It is clean, bright and the equipment has been updated and the staff is friendly.

Everyone is so friendly. The staff go above and beyond and get to know all the guests. They're doing well to renew and remodel the place! Of the dozen or so LA Fitness locations I’ve been to, this one is the best. Like the others, the restrooms could use some more attention throughout the day and the place could use a good deep cleaning due to crud in corners & crevices but overall it’s very good. Cleaner than most, tons of equipment and free weights, and has a great walking track. Very friendly staff too. Kudos Florence location, keep up the good work.

There’s numerous lockers in the locker room but about 1/3 of the lockers are broken in some way (missing ring for lock, broken or missing floor or ceiling, etc). Parking lot could also use a serious recoating.

GM Jeff was horrible. I was told our membership was canceled. I then checked my credit card and was still charged the following month. I called to the store and wanted to cancel over the phone after I was told it had already been canceled. He got an attitude and a horrible temper during the phone call. I have seen many reviews about how rude and disrespectful he is and I experienced this first hand. Terrible experience.

Over all okay gym but needs a lot of updating and improvements. Equipment is very old and need of upgrades. A big percentage of equipment is teared or broken down. If a machines is not working it is scheduled for service for months.
The gym as a whole needs a good cleaning... it’s kind of gross how groudy the equipment is and for what we are paying for the gym shouldn’t be in the shape that it is. I can see this being a reason people leave due to lack of maintenance. This gym has a lot of potential but falling short in keeping up.

The GM, Jeff Hawkins was horrible. We were working with a manager at another location for a membership and the only thing holding us back was checking on the Florence club as we would be visiting 2 different clubs. We told him this straight out at the beginning. He then still took us through the entire sales process and then proceeded to completely lose his temper and call us rude for signing up with the original manager we worked with. Arguing with customers as a GM is the reason LA Fitness has a horrible reputation in NKY.

So i stopped in to check out the facility, got the tour and gave all the necessary information required to do so. After the tour I was pulled into an office and given the sales pitch, which was fine too. I said no, and then they brought in the brass from the next room over to give me a more enthusiastic sales pitch and suggest that i did not know what i was missing out on, which i understand as well...you have to make sales. Aside from the snide remarks and both people getting up and walking out when the sale was realized to be fruitless, here is where i have an issue. Every day now they call my phone and leave a voicemail, most often times the voicemail has nothing but silence. When i answer the calls whoever it is hangs up. I loved the facility and would have became a member had they not been so pushy, but now after all of this there is no way, this was very disappointing.

One of the best gyms in the Northern Kentucky area. The staff is incredibly friendly, their facilities are clean and complete, and it's a place where students who go to school elsewhere can come back and exercise without any issues. Being a student at the University of Kentucky, this is the first place I contact when I'm back home for extended periods of time. Highly recommend it.

I can't beieve that this place actually keeps enough clients to stay open. We joined one summer for the track and the pool when we were training for half marathons. The pool seemed to be closed every other time we were there, and the floor of the pool was so bad, you could feel it crumbling when you walked on it. The showers were bad, and there was only one stall that sprayed with anything more than a trickle. They advertised a rate of $25 (?) a month, but the sales person was worse than the stereotypical used car salesman, doing everything in their power to sell you more than you wanted. The workout machines all had bad bearings, or rollers, and you could feel the drag, and/or grinding when you used most of them. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Been a member for years and it’s been mostly a good experience but yesterday I talked to a manager? Jeff? Big guy. He was playing with his cell phone but he greeted me nicely..... but when I asked him to verify my height and weight for a weight loss program I’m joining, he turned sour. At first he wasn’t going to do it at all, but he relented and quickly took the measurements. He acted very put out by it.
