For lifting this is pretty wild and a legit place. I got to use equipment I had not seen or used before and got a great back and chest workout.

Fantastic gym, if you are looking for a gym that has a decent mix of bodybuilding equipment and cross fit stuff… this is it. Old school vibe to it.
I try to try out and review a local gym in all the places i visit for work. The one week pass was very reasonably priced. Over all great gym.

I had to come back and edit my review, I still stand by this place has the most variety of equipment of any gym I've been to in Louisville, but I stopped going for a while due to cleanliness and the lack of care of the equipment.

I went back today and felt incredibly disappointed by how many hazards there were here. Sharp points on cables for the pins I pricked my finger on, several tripping hazards from the mats not being secure or getting bunched up under the equipment, the rags to clean off your equipment smelled terrible, almost every machine I used had some sort of mechanism that was broken or flawed making it difficult to use, and again the bathrooms were littered with toilet paper, the hand dryers were caked in hard water from not being cleaned, and the floors/equipment are covered in grime.

I really love this gym for the people and what they are trying to offer, but at this point it's almost hazardous to workout here.

I know they are building a new facility and I'm hoping that these concerns are taken into account and rectified. I know the people who run this gym are incredible, but you have to do better for the community.

Update: After 10 months of lifting with Randi, I've gained 12 pounds of muscle...and I'm 42 years old, say what?? I probably have almost as much muscle mass as I did in my 20's at this point, which isn't supposed to happen, right? Brian said when I toured the gym at first and asked him how long to see results, "How does water cut through a rock? It takes time and consistency." That was such a helpful insight and has motivated me to stick with it. And this is one of the best investments of my time and money I've ever made. A friend once told me, "You can either pay for health now or you can pay later with hospitalizations and bills." Took me a while, but I finally see the wisdom in putting more money towards my health. It's an investment in my future as well as my kids' future so I can be healthy and stay active with them.

I LOVE this gym! I've really gained a lot in terms of physical health but also knowledge from both Brian and Randi. I can always get on the equipment I need, not at all like the bigger gyms where you're always waiting around for equipment or free weights. Randi has helped me lose 10 pounds of fat and gain 3 pounds of muscle in a little over 2 months! I'm so grateful for her and this gym and how it's making such a difference in my physical health and consequently my mental health. I was in a slump when I started but this gym and Randi have been so crucial in helping lifting me out of that slump, they have no idea!!! So grateful!!!

I’ll get right to the point, this gym is terrible. The only positive things about it are the fact that it does have good machines and a friendly staff, but everything else is awful. The parking lot is an absolute mess, especially during peak hours. The gym is extremely dirty and dusty, especially the bathrooms. I honestly feel like COVID-19 originated in this gym. There’s very limited cardio equipment and very limited space to stretch & warmup (especially during peak hours). No one ever re-racks their weights and plates here. Not sure if that’s a fault of the gym itself or the members here. It is actually impossible to find plates if you workout during peak hours, especially if you’re a very strong individual. My biggest complaint about this gym has to be the way it operates. It’s only staffed from like 8am-8pm on weekdays, but open to members 24/7. This pretty much means that on weekends, the gym is crawling with packs of high schoolers with absolutely awful gym etiquette. Everyone deserves to take up space in the gym but those who don’t respect the public space dont deserve that privilege, especially if they’re not even paying members. This gym allows people to bring their dogs. While I love animals, I don’t really think they belong in a gym. I once saw a man bring his dog and she urinated on the floor two times during his workout. That is a biohazard. There are no mirrors in this gym. I’m sure that’s a deliberate choice by the owners, but I’m personally not a fan of that. Mirrors can be very helpful in the gym for checking your form. There is a small posing room but it’s almost always occupied by bodybuilders practicing their posing routine for 20 minutes straight. And lastly, the price of this gym is ridiculous. $50 a month is standard for a good gym but this isn’t a good gym. You could get a much better experience at Crunch of the Factory for much cheaper. I strongly do not recommend this gym.

This place is a diamond in the rough. As far as gym equipment goes it’s the best facility I’ve been to in the Louisville area. There’s no shortage of places to squat, deadlift, and bench press. As well as dozens of machines and just the right amount of cardio equipment. I’m impressed if a gym has one designated deadlift space, this place has 5 deadlift platforms.

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is b/c of the bathrooms. There are no showers or traditional locker rooms. But, for the serious lifter this is not an issue.

Even on crowded days you can get a good workout in.

I had a week long membership and must say I was quite impressed. The amount of diverse equipment they have is amazing.
Pros:
- equipment (both diverse and quite a few racks)
- environment (the people are all quite friendly)
- feels like the owner is very transparent and nothing is set with contracts, just pay as you go, which I prefer
Cons:
- no AC during the summer, which is a given with its location. It would cost quite a bit to refit a storage facility like that. This is the only con.

This is a great gym.

Pros: Tons of equipment, open 24/7, great environment, friendly people, lots of space

Cons: People don’t have good gym etiquette here. Many people don’t re-rack their weights, don’t clean up after themselves, etc. Also not a fan of the particular treadmills they have.

Still giving 5 stars because the pros heavily outweigh the cons.

I sometimes go at night around 10pm-12am. This is the worse. Members rolling up joints on the couch. Going in and out the office playing vulgar music. Same group of kids. You can’t use the men rest room with it they locking the door and posing. This use to be a great family oriented gym. People steal all the time. The owners are so lax they don’t fix the problem they ignore it. You’re better off going to the factory.

It is an amazing gym. It is one of the first places to make me feel at home since moving from South Florida. I asked someone for a gym w sleds, turf, and barbells to lift. She referred me there & it is even better that what I expected. It has everything-OLY, CrossFit area, strongman area, machines, turf, rigs, sleds, sauna, recovery room, and more. The best part is that I can bring my dog just like I did at my gym in Florida. Also, everyone is there to get stronger: I love it!!! You should definitely try it!!!

I have lived in this city for a long time, and I have been a member of several gyms all over the area. None have ever compared to EA across all aspects. For some perspective, I am a provider in the rehabilitation field. With that being said, I’d like to think I am well versed on all things anatomy and functional movement. I can say confidently that there is not one time that I walk out of this gym without having learned something myself. It has truly changed my life. There is no one in this realm more dedicated to their craft than Brian and the other guys that make this gym what it is. They have something for everyone. I mean EVERYONE. All levels of fitness. All interests. All physical capabilities and limitations. These guys go above and beyond what is expected of them when it comes to training programs, fitness, nutrition, injuries, and anything else that comes along with making someone reach their full potential as an athlete. Equipment is top notch and there is not a member of this gym that’s not willing to help educate you on how to use it. Brian goes above and beyond working with his athletes on all their goals, including myself, as do the other owners and trainers. I will recommend EA to anyone who is interested in a change or starting brand new. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Love this gym. Joined here after my old gym shut down during covid and I needed another place open 24 hours.
They have tons of options when it comes to free weights and machines, pretty anything you can think of is available. Good selection of cardio equipment as well. It's a very large gym so even when it is busy it doesn't feel as crowded as smaller gyms do.
Kept clean, in good shape and they are always adding new stuff, well worth the price. Definitely recommend this gym.

This gym allows completely unacceptable behavior. In the early AM people are able to control the radio, which blasts the most offensive music so loud you cant hear on your head phones. After the morning crew discovered that Im Muslim, they switched to playing gospel music so loud you cant hear your own headphones while hollaring praise Jesus and Hallelujah to each other from across the gym. It is common place to see guys getting undressed and dressed outside of the changing rooms. There are very few pray bottles on the floor and I dont think anyone reracks their weights....ever. Also the parking is atrocious. I would not recommend this gym to any practicing Muslim. The only good thing about this place is that they are putting in a rock wall and have saunas.

Just wanted to drop a line to support this local business. Although I am no longer currently a member, I was previously driving 20 mins out to EA just because this gym is worth it: stacked with top of the line equipment, has plenty of squat racks, space, 24/7 access, and anything else you could think of. Chance is super nice, and clearly the staff are always putting in ongoing work to continually improve their business. If I didn’t have a setup at home, I would definitely still be an EA member, and I highly recommend their gym.

Best gym in the state of Kentucky. If you’re serious about training then this is the gym for you. EA has some of the highest quality equipment on the market, from Olympic barbells to monolifts and competition calibrated plates, they have it all.

If you’re a powerlifting/strongman competitor and want to train with the same equipment you’ll use in competition, then this is your gym. If you’re new to training or just need some direction, EA has you covered with some of the best personal trainers in the area.

There’s really something for everyone at everyday athletes and, best of all, the atmosphere is amazing. Everyone is like family at everyday athletes and everyone there is doing there best to get better while helping those around them achieve there own personal goals.

If you’re looking for a new gym, here it is. Stop by and try it out, or just go ahead and sign up, because you won’t want to go anywhere else afterwards.

In short, it is the best gym in Louisville. My wife and I moved about a year ago and leaving this place was like leaving friends and family. The facilities are top notch, the staff is determined and friendly and the resources provided are second to none in my experience.

If you are hesitant to start working out but know you need to, even if the goal is just 'to be healthier' this is the place to start, the place to go to every week and the place to stay at while youre in the area.

Thanks to the trainers my wife and I were able to move to a partially independent workout with little intervention from staff. We started with nothing and by tthe time we left we had the tools to continue working out in effective, safe and enjoyable way. Except the sled....screw that sled.

I've been a member at Everyday Athletes for 10 months now. It has literally been a life-changing experience for me. The trainers are all incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and friendly, and they've made the culture at this gym one of community and accessibility.

I've been a dedicated couch potato most of my life. The EA trainers encouraged me in my desire to become more active, meeting me where I was at and giving me tools to help me meet my goals.

There is a huge range of activity at EA, at all fitness levels. There are folks who, like me when I started, are just trying to get moving without hurting themselves, all the way up to CrossFit and competitive weightlifters. I never once felt intimidated here. I would recommend EA to anyone.

So let me tell you bout this gym.

I joined a month ago because I was looking to compete in powerlifting and I realized I needed some guidance. A friend of a friend trained here so I went to check it out.

Do you dream of a gym with no mirrors and chalk everywhere? Of inzer belts, deadlift platforms and squat racks as far as the eye can see? Of people who will pump you up, spot you whenever and push you to do better? Then look no further my friend, because Everyday Athletes is your dream come true.

Oly lifting, powerlifting, CrossFit and strongman under one roof. Passionate and knowledgeable coaches. I am extremely thankful that these guys followed their dream and opened this place because without it, I wouldn’t have such a wonderful atmosphere to grow as a lifter in anywhere near me.

Can we get some AC tho?!? Just kidding. Not having it is actually growing on me.

Been going to EA for a year now. One thing I can say is I contacted the co owner / coach about powerlifting, explained to him my weakness, coming from an injury , and everything. He analyzed my form, programmed workouts , and nutrition for me. Stayed late so I can finish workouts within the first 3 months. Literally the Best atmosphere in any gym EVER. This place became an second home to me. I competed in my first powerlifting meet and hit all type of PR’s due to the coaching. I would recommend anyone who’s looking for the right gym to check this place out. So, you're looking for an honest review of Everyday Athletes (EA)? Great, look no further because I'm going to tell you the honest truth that nobody else will. This gym is god-awful, it's horrible... it's truly hell on earth! Well, it is if you have any of the following phobias:

Metathesiophobia - fear of change
Kakorrhaphiophobia - fear of failure
Algophobia - fear of pain
Medomalacuphobia, no, wait, that's me... ahh... never mind... moving on.

Fear of change... fear of failure... fear of pain. Who, to some degree, doesn't have each of these fears? I've been going to EA since they opened their doors in 2011 and I'll freely admit to having experienced all three of these fears, at one time or another. In 2011, I couldn't squat 95lbs and didn't even know what a deadlift was. By the end of 2016, at 55 years-old, I was an all-natural two-time Kentucky state powerlifting record holder. That among various other reasons is why I've stayed and... that's why I can easily recommend EA.

EA employs the most highly educated, highly trained and highly experienced coaches and trainers in the city. That's not hyperbole, that's the honest truth and I'm living proof of the type results that can be achieved. Regardless if you're looking for weight loss, toning or powerlifting, they have an option tailor-made for your success because... they understand that people have fears and concerns and address each of them head-on by building trusted relationships that give their clients the confidence and motivation needed to achieve success.

Look, I certainly don't blame you for having fears or doubts, we all do, but don't allow those to keep you from improving yourself in a safe, structured and friendly environment. Please, give them a call and see for yourself what they can do for you; like me, I think you'll be glad you did.

Without any reservations, I highly recommend Everyday Athletes & the coaches to anyone wanting to meet and exceed their fitness goals regardless of experience level.

After a recommendation from a friend, I tried the free 2 week trial with Chance at Everyday Athletes. At first, I was a bit curious what I could learn from someone else since I had purchased a few fitness books, read blogs, watched videos and frequently reviewed the exercise program of the month through popular magazines. Although I had never had formal training with free weights, I was under the impression the only real goal was to move as much of the heavy weight as you could, oblivious to the fact that form can literally injure you. We spent the first sessions evaluating & documenting my (lack of proper) form and building a solid base of proper movement with lower weights. As we secured the form we added weight, beating & exceeding my self imposed (and often ridiculous) goals for the squat, bench and deadlift. I'm nearing 2 years of working with the team and haven't looked back and am happy with the progress and continue to notice improvements each session.

The coaches aren't over bearing yet do hold you accountable for activity inside & outside the sessions while the overall community of fellow athletes are supportive, offer tips, insights & personal stories of how they have progressed over the years. Every athlete has their own goals that are on different paths, but we all share in the desire to get better each session.

The trainings offerings are flexible with your schedule & frequency (and you can even bring well behaved dogs). In addition to individual/partner training sessions, they offer group classes: mobility (stretching, form overviews), CrossFit (via their sister program Strong Side Crossfit, look it up), MetCon (30 min sessions of cardio + some weight/equipment movements), and Power Crew (group power lifting sessions of bench, squat & deadlift).

So it is time to make an investment in yourself, press the message button, pickup the phone, leave a comment, stop by and get started. Each day you delay is one additional day you aren't improving your form, endurance and overall health.

I found Strong Side CrossFit through Groupon and have been going since. Everyone was very welcoming and also help to push/cheer you on during workouts. A smaller gym (which I love) with a great environment!

I started crossfit at Strongside hesitantly about 6 months ago. The people there immediately took me in and made me feel welcome. I am now going 4-5 times a week & love it! The coaches there are unbelievably knowledgeable and have helped me achieve many goals & pr's. The people & coaches at Strongside are by far the most humble, motivating & supportive people I've ever met. Classes are organized, well run & meet all fitness levels. This is the best gym with the best people & coaches. Friendship & fitness at its finest!

When it comes to CrossFit gyms I have seen many. I know the difference between good coaching and great coaching and Strong Side CrossFit has outstanding coaches. I highly recommend dropping in they helped improve clean in one class.

There are very few crossfit gyms in Louisville that offer the amount of equipment that Strong Side has, if you are looking for a gym that has it all this is it.

I was 46 when I started coming to Everyday Athletes. A Gymnastics accident, 6 car accidents and a boating accident had left me with migraines for 34 years, Vicodin daily for the past 17 yrs and steroid injections 1-2x/ yr. I thought, well, this was it. And I had been a body builder when I was in my 20's- and here I am. Very fragile. It's been about a year now with Brad and no more pain pills, steroid injections and I am lifting about 70% of weight I used to when I was in my 20's. My migraines are fewer- and I am no longer fragile. We used to say that we didn't think I would be able to carry a future grandchild. My first is due in April and I will. This is a great place with a great program.

Threw a combination of training and nutrition education, Everyday Athletes helped me loose 90 pounds before I found out I was pregnant. I've continued my training threw out my pregnancy and it has helped me stay healthy and active. There is no one else I would trust to help me get a better-than-before-baby body once my little one arrives (any day now) and I am cleared by my doctor to start training again. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

EA has been more than a gym for me. I’ve made incredible friendships, attained goals I never imagined for myself, and completely changed the way I think about fitness. My trainer, Brad Longazel, continues to help me push myself and reach the potential that’s always been there. I now view fitness as not just a part of my health, but as a puzzle piece to a balanced life. I’m thankful to have found a place that is such a good fit!

I've been training at Everyday Athletes for more than three years - personal training sessions twice a week. I am in better shape and healthier than I have been in years. I've made steady progress, stayed motivated, maintained a healthy weight and suffered no injuries working out - all because of my trainer. The personal trainers here actually work with you, not with cookie cutter sessions! My program is based on my body's needs. I couldn't be happier. Also taking some of the free classes that come with membership. EA is the best!

I've been training at EA for almost a year. The ownership and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The personal programs designed for me were always varied, fun and challenging. The gym is clean with a lot of space and equipment to accommodate for any type of training for any age. If you’re looking for a trainer or a standing appointment to keep to motivated to go to the gym you won’t be disappointed at EA.

I used to work out at a large gym, and went through five personal trainers there. Then I found EA, and I have been training here for a few years now... With the SAME trainer, Brad L. This is an awesome place to workout. You pay a small fee for personal training, and with the personal training you also get an open gym to workout when you want. They have group workouts also, and they don't cost any extra. My progress has been amazing. I have dropped 36# over that time and at age fifty-three I can say I am in better shape and stronger than when I was in my twenties. It took me years to start working out, but I will never look back, and did I say? This place is AWESOME!

Brad has helped me conquer many of my fitness goals. The most impressive part about my progress, though, is that I have gone above and beyond anything I'd imagined accomplishing. The sky is the limit with this place!

Chance has been my trainer for many years. I have seen amazing results in my body. I am pregnant now and still go to see him twice a week. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and I feel like I am in great hands with them. Also, their prices are very affordable which is great when you are on a budget.

I've been training with Everyday Athletes for just over a month now. I have been and continue to be impressed with the services they provide. Every session, I am amazed at what my body is capable of. I still have a way to go in my fitness goals, but I know the trainers at Everyday Athletes are there to support me and push me to meet my goals.

I began with Everyday Athletes to begin my second weight loss journey. It is from my trainer I am able to receive the recommendations that are tailored to me. Plus, I have gotten to bring my 9month old son to my sessions without hassle; due to no babysitter. Although, I have some ways to go in my journey I have the support from Everyday Athletes!

Never being an athlete, I was unsure of myself in the gym and nervous about lifting weights incorrectly. With the help of Brad Longazel I have been able to, not only lose body fat but also gain muscle. The education and experience that Brad and the other trainers have, put my mind at ease while training to become an Everyday Athlete.
Regardless of the level of experience that you have in the gym these trainers can help you become an Everyday Athlete the right way.

I need the personalization and TLC I get from the trainers at Everyday Athletes. After a horrid day, I go in for a session and come out feeling like a new person. Not only can I relieve stress, I get in better shape mentally and physically to tackle my next hurdle. Every trainer there has the same level of committment to the clients, so I wouldn't mind working with any of them. I would follow my trainer wherever he trains. I look and feel great thanks to the skill, expertise, and personal touch I get at Everyday Athletes.

I've been going to Everyday Athletes for about 8 months now and I've never felt better! I feel energized and STRONG. I've never enjoyed working out until now. I'm down 4% body fat so far and well on my way to reach my goal... thanks to my trainer, Brad Longazel. I meet with him twice a week for 30 minutes yet I feel like I've ran a marathon when I leave. Every trainer there is very knowledgeable in what they do. I would highly recommend them!

I have been coming to Everyday Athletes since September 2012. I am very impressed with them. I had never been to a personal trainer before and my friend talked me into trying them out. I work with Brad and he has helped me in so many ways. I am forever grateful for what he has done for me.

I have been going to Everyday Athletes since January 2013. I have a mobility problem in my left shoulder which not only impacts the way I exercise, but also limits what I am able to do on a daily basis. Since I have been working with Brad I have a noticeable improvement in the range of motion in my shoulder and I have much less pain. This has allowed me to sleep better and to have a better quality of life. The Everyday Athletes trainers work with their clients to determined their goals, evaluate their physical condition and then create a custom program to fit their specific needs. I would recommend Everyday Athletes to anyone interested in improving their lives.
