Kris has been an integral part in my rehab and recovery post both ACLs in the last 2 years. Thanks to the work I started with Kris after my first one, my rehab time for my second injury that was much worse and compounded with a re-tear of my meniscus was cut in half! I am forever grateful to him and thankful for his vast knowledge, desire to learn and deploy new things in the gym and his ability to meet you where you’re at and SAFELY get you where you want to go!

Kris is an amazing strength coach! He is concerned about form and mechanics way before he ever thinks about the weight on the bar. If you're just getting started with strength training or if you just need a tune up or you need some specific training, Kris is the coach. He's also a great all-around guy.

After injuring my lower back, my physical therapist recommended Kris as a coach, and that was the best decision I've ever made. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly how to tailor a program just for you. He helped me to increase my numbers and keep my form locked down. Any obstacle that got in the way, he knew exactly how to get around it. Kris is an awesome coach and an even more awesome person, who knows how to motivate you and push you well past your limits. Extremely grateful!

I’ve known Kris for 5+ years and I’m that time he has helped me tremendously in my Fitness journey. From the times he was a coach at CrossFit Maximus helping me with my Olympic lifting technique and teaching me the true art and beauty of kettlebells. In recent years he has helped prepare me for different job specific physical challenges to my lifting technique! Outside of being an excellent coach and programmer Kris is an excellent individual and always a pleasure to be around. I have recommended his services to numerous people and would strongly recommend him to anyone reading this review. Kris is the man!

I have trained with and been programmed/instructed by Freeman off and on since 2009. Due to his past experience and career, he is able to program and train all ages, levels of capability, types of injury, and goals. He has been relentless in becoming better and more knowledgeable throughout his training career. Having worked with several trainers, Kris is the only one that actually and truly customizes programming for the individual. He also just happens to be a former recon marine. Semper Fi-

I’ve been training with Kris for about 5 years now and never thought I’d be as strong as I am now. He has a massive knowledge base and is constantly updating it with new effective training methods for building strength. He implements them safely and effectively and always has good advice for proper recovery and nutrition (which I’ve come to learn are probably more important than the training itself.) Being a chiropractor myself, I have high standards for a strength coach who emphasizes proper technique and Freeman passes with flying colors. He has all the necessary equipment you’d need to get strong without all the fluff. I’ve seen him coach clients from their teens all the way up into their 80’s, and he always has a specifically tailored plan for them. With Freeman’s coaching, your only limits are what you’re willing to put into it physically, how conducive your diet is to your goals, and the amount of rest you get. He’ll get your best out of you.

At the recommendation of a friend, I've trained with Kris for almost two years. As a working professional and father of 3 little ones, my schedule is chaotic and changes often. Kris is very flexible and adjusts and accommodates my training plan around my hectic life while also keeping me honest about progress towards my goals. Tough, but fair and realistic...the perfect qualities in a coach. Highly recommend.

Freeman has been an excellent resource for the Versailles community! He has done amazing things with young athletes for sport and strength performance, and older individuals for building fall prevention and resiliency, as well as everything in between. I would trust him with any of my patients.

I have known Kris for five years now, and he is an amazing coach and person! I am a competitive swimmer, and his training regiment has helped me become a better athlete. Without his help, I would not have been able to qualify for the 2020 US Olympic Swimming Trials. He will help you reach whatever goal you want to achieve. And, as an added bonus, he is one of the nicest people you will meet!

Kris Freeman is an excellent coach! He has helped me fix form issues I’ve had many times and has been writing my programming for about 4 months. During that time I went from plateauing on all my lifts to making progress again. I’ve been hitting personal records on all my major lifts consistently with his input and guidance. My form feels better than ever and I have more energy and stamina than I’ve had in years. Kris knows what he is doing, if you’ve got a fitness goal, he can help you get there. If you are new to lifting he can get you started on a path that will give you a foundation you can build upon the rest of your life, wether your 17 or 71.

Working with Kris will lay the groundwork for proper form and the appreciation of moving weight. Strength gains will be a sure side effect of his plan for you.

Kris participates in the Heroes Movement program, which allows vets to get training they might otherwise not seek out.
I've been away from the Army for 20+ years and didn't realize how much strength I had lost until working with him for a while.
While I have a long road ahead, the progress he's helped me make so far is impressive and highly motivating.
Now if I could just put the donut down. 😋

I’ve been strength training with Kris for five years now and his commitment to proper form is above and beyond any trainer/gym I’ve ever used! Thanks to him I’m stronger at 50 than I was at 25 and free of injury doing it! He truly cares about the health of his clients and it shows. I love his motivation and positive attitude.

Thanks to Kris and his knowledge, patience, and attention to specific client needs, I’m the strongest I’ve ever been, and feel amazing! After 2 kids and surgery, I didn’t know that was possible! It’s just an added bonus that we have a blast while at the gym!

I was referred to Kris by my physical therapist after suffering with back issues for over a year. The seven months I have been working with him has been life changing. I am growing stronger and my daily life activities are now pain free. I have recommended Kris to all my friends and family that truly want to make a difference their lives.

I started training with Freeman 8 1/2 years ago. This equates to someplace in excess of 800 sessions. He’s coached me through near terminal cancer, 2 foot surgeries, systemic shingles and a triple disc fusion without injury. I’m on the edge of 70 and there’s no doubt that his coaching, empathy, and attention to my specific needs has accelerated my rehab and recovery. I’m a productive and highly functioning person because of Kris.
Never too old and never too young for Freeman.
Do it!!

Kris is a very knowledgeable, encouraging and driven strength training coach. I like most other women didn’t want to do this type of workout for fear of being “bulky”. He reassured me that would not be the case, I have now been training with him for over a year and am in the best shape of my life. I trained before and during my pregnancy with no issues. I’m 8 weeks postpartum and feel great, can’t wait to get back at it!

I drive an hour to train at Freeman's gym. Freeman is a master of his craft. If you are looking for a coach and not just a place to workout this is the place for you.

As a certified strength and conditioning specialist with 15 years of experience training clients, I'm very selective about recommending other coaches. I've had the pleasure of watching Kris Freeman coach clients for 10+ years, and have spoken to over a dozen of his clients, and I give Kris my highest recommendation. He helps his clients reach their goals while staying safe and healthy. I'd trust him to coach anyone I care about, myself included.

Kris Freeman is one of the best strength coaches in Kentucky. He's been practicing his craft, and helping people get stronger and live healthier for over a decade. Getting stronger, losing body fat, getting healthier, having less aches and pains -- Kris can help. I highly recommend working with him no matter what your goals are.
