Been a member here since 2017 and can definitely tell the gym is going down. The front desk of an office evening seems to be rarely staffed after 7pm, the amount of people that come in with one person who scans in is ridiculous at times. Some nights you see young children climbing on equipment unsupervised. Please work on bringing this gym back to where it once was.

Get Fit is the laughing stock of Somerset gyms. The owner is extremely rude and ends up running every manager he hires off. The equipment is often broken, the bathrooms are rarely cleaned, the owner runs the personal trainers off by cussing them out and he doesn't want to pay them what they agreed on. At night, the gym is filled with people and all their little kids running around playing on equipment. People even go that's not a member. Do not go to this gym. Regardless of what their reply under my review will be, don't believe a word of the fakeness that will accompany it.

Have been a member here for years and has consistently gone downhill. Equipment is dirty, half of the treadmills never work, and is never staffed during hours for me to use the tanning that I pay for.

Have tried since August 2022 to cancel membership. Finally got someone on the phone that would help but still getting charged. Told that even though we have not use the club for 6 months that we are being charged for the next 30 days.

Attempted to speak with Manager and/or owner. Nothing has been resolved because they are never available.

Would not recommend this to club to anyone.

In email response I was accused of cussing the employees. All I have done when I have called is requested to speak to manager. The employee does there best to not take my information and does everything to prevent me from talking with manager.

Have supplied the “manager” with my contact information via email. But no effort has been made for them to contact me via phone.

Love being able to tan before my workout! Plenty of machines, lots of space for stretching and ab work, clean, convenient hours. Mark is really helpful and kind. My husband and I have enjoyed this gym and give it two thumbs up.

I set up an account to automatically take out payments for my membership every month. Apparently they stopped doing this. Instead they reported me to a collections agency for not paying? Why did I go through the trouble of giving them my account information? Why did no one tell me, not once, "hey man, you owe a us some money"? No one contacting me and no one said anything when I walked in there. My number changed but they had my email. I injured myself and hadn't been in three months so they knock 15 points off my credit score because I didn't realize they weren't taking $20 bucks out of my account every month. It's all good though, their equipment is basic, minimal, and torn up. Not much space to do anything off a bench or machines. Most of the times the weight section is super crowded. I guarantee there's space on one of there 60 treadmills, ellipticals or stationary bikes. I guess they're in rough shape though considering they can't fix their equipment and they're doing shady stuff like this so maybe they could use your charity, but panet fitness has the same stuff, better quality and is probably still only $10 a month though.

Lowsey! Walked in with my wife to join, the guy at the counter just looked at us and went back to chatting it up with some girl. We stood around for several minutes and nothing! So we left for no return. It was close to home but I guess we will be going across town for better service!!

Very odd contract. Even if you go in and cancel I’m person and sign papers, if the person you’re canceling with doesn’t know how to do their job, you WILL end up in collections.
Calling them to ask why you’re still getting billed and how to stop it since you’ve already canceled will do no good. They didn’t even know what collection agency to transfer me to.

I enjoyed the gym while I went but see a lot of different staff when I go. Perhaps they need to ensure their employees feel confident in their job and know the correct information to tell their employees.

The gym itself is great , good barbells , well maintained machines , rubber plates (so it doesn't sound like a steel foundry every time I load my deadlift ) ,

My fellow gym goers are the only trouble here , in the sense that people here seem to be allergic to putting their plates away , big strong man can squat 365lbs but is too weak to unload his plates after , it's irritating and sad.

That said the gym again , is great , I like working out here. Definitely a fair price.

I'm Really enjoying my membership. 24/7 access, although no one has paid attention to my multiple requests to clean the large ceiling air vet. The dirtier it gets, the harder the AC has to work on these 90°+ days. Eventually the rise in electric costs will mean something to the bottom line. Either cutting staff, raising membership dues or neglecting other equipment repairs due to finances. It's basic business. Perhaps one of the owners will see this review.

Cierra Hogue has been my personal trainer over the summer! She made me get motivated to come to the gym and to try my very best every time I walked through the doors. I'm glad I have her to help me with my weight loss journey. She has helped guide me in many ways from the best choice of meals and meal prep to making sure I have a specific workout to accommodate my body type and making sure I do the workouts right. I really enjoy having a personal trainer! It was the best decision I have made!

I started going to GetFit in February, I started training with Cierra Hogue in March. Since then I have lost 20 plus pounds. I have fluctuated somewhat but Cierra works so well with me! She gives me hope that I can do it when I really want to lay down and quit, because mosy of this stuff is still all so new to me. This gym has such a nice atmosphere and it is SO clean.. I notice someone cleaning everytime I am there. i feel so comfortable when I work out here. The staff are all friendly and attentive.

Canceled my membership back in Feb, was already charged yearly dues plus membership monthly fees that had just came out the day I cancelled. Was told that I would have a $10 cancellation fee come out the month of March which I was fine with but reviewed my bank statement today and was charged another monthly fee plus $10 cancellation fee. Called and all I got was that they are sorry I was misinformed and that I wouldn't be charged anymore after this month. I sure hope not I have not used the facility since December.

I enrolled online and actually never had the chance to go there for 2 months.. when I called to cancel my membership they said .. oh, u have to pay one month ahead and 10 fees cancellation fees and that was ok till they took that money in addition to 39 dollars.. when i called, they said that was anual fees.. there was no clear info on the website that I'll be responsible for that and they told me i should have come personally to enroll to be able to know that.. that's not fair... i don't care about the money but I'm annoyed about hiding things from people to make money. it's like stealing

This gym is awesome! No huge crowds, I don't have to wait on anybody to workout. The staff is always helpful. No one bugs me during my workouts either, I used to hate going to a gym and some gym buff is there telling you about stuff no one cares about, but not here. It's nice, friendly and clean. Recently signed up and have been about 3-4 times. Great staff and clean facilities. I would recommend to any novice and intermediate people looking for an affordable place to work out. I haven't had a chance yet to schedule any of the consultations they offer. Only downside is there's only one squat rack and one set of dumbbells. Also, gets cramped a bit if you are looking to do deadlift. Not much room for cleans or anything more advanced like that. Overall, it's a nice gym at a very good price.
