From initial consultation to first class session I have nothing but positive things to say about HITSONA, and Steve. There is a sincerity, desire to understand you and your goals, and a very clear explanation of what to expect and how things will work. The apps used for scheduling and monitoring workouts are easy to set up, understand and use. The first workout had myself with 1st workout, someone on her 4th, and someone on her 101st! Steve coached us all and everyone was focused and hardworking. I was given clear demonstrations of each move and kind, direct corrections when I needed to adjust something like my stance or how my hands were on the bar. It was appropriately challenging and humbling! I have an athletic background and I am excited to be returning to workouts. At about 11 min to go I thought, “what have I gotten myself into?!” But with the positive coaching, interval breaks and active recovery I was proud of myself for finishing my first workout and look forward to going back. 🤩 Truly an incredible place! I had a friendly short phone call session with Steve, the owner. Clearly he is genuine and passionate about health and fitness. We met in person to hash out my goals, needs, expectations, AND to see if Hitsona was for me.
It was and I’m going to my 4th workout today🤩. I see I am in complete control but if I need help with nutrition, motivation, etc., I will be completely comfortable in asking because they offer the help.
It’s absolutely perfect if you like warm, friendly, fun people. The staff and members are patient and very helpful❤️.
I like too not having to look up and see some scary workout person, realizing, oh crap that’s me😆. There are no mirrors, and no trappings of a big gym, just the equipment I need and really sweet regular folk wanting to do better. You’ll get what you put into it but the 25min sessions make it much more doable.

One thing I can say about Hitsona, is they keep me accountable. If I ever get out of routine, they will check on me and make sure I get scheduled for a class. I need that accountability to stay on track. It’s like having my own personal trainer.

I was looking for some sort of place with classes instead of just being left to do your own thing with weights. Hitsona has small classes of 6 people, so everyone gets personal attention from the trainer as needed to correct their form. They also take your measurements each month, which should help to track progress.

I've tried various workout routines over the years but could never find anything that fit consistently into my schedule- until Hitsona. The 25 minute classes are easy to fit in my calendar, and with online scheduling and multiple time options, it's easy for me to plan my workouts. The classes are faced-paced and always different so you'll never get bored. The HIIT format pushes me to push myself because I can do anything for just 25 minutes! Each workout is backed up with performance data, and I've enjoyed watching my endurance and recovery time improve.

More importantly, Hitsona has changed the way I see and take care of myself, not just as a busy working mom, but as an athlete. My cardio strength grew enough to give me the confidence to run 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons! I've even won or placed in my age group a few times, which I never would have thought possible. Hitting the gym after leaving the office helps me decompress before going home so I have more energy for my family, and am also sleeping and eating better because I value the work I'm putting into myself.

Let me share my reasons for joining Hitsona gym.

I wasn’t comfortable looking at myself in the mirror. I struggled to see any hope for losing weight and often felt unattractive and overweight. Then, out of the blue, Hitsona appeared in my Facebook feed. With no plan, goal, or preparation in mind, I decided to join. It felt like an escape from my feelings of failure.

As I began my journey, I started to understand why I was drawn to the gym. I realized that despite feeling like a failure in many areas of my life, Hitsona showed me that I could succeed. I learned that I could overcome my negative beliefs and handle challenges, even pushing through progressive overload.

Gradually, I began to use the gym as a way to test my potential and apply my life theories in a new context. I started to connect real-life situations with my experiences at the gym, transforming my mindset.

The gym has become a powerful tool for changing my belief system. It’s a place where I can build confidence, surrounded by others who are striving to improve their lives and who embrace self-love. It’s a mental detox space, a place to elevate myself mentally—and yes, it’s also where I can exercise.

HitSona is not your typical workout place. It’s different here. I’ve been a member a little over a year and this is the only time I’ve ever committed to something and not gave up. The owner and head coach has a life-affirming presence and uses it to maintain an inclusive and positive gym environment. Steve answers all kinds of questions from nutrition to mentality to form. I did not exercise prior to joining and was very nervous about a class environment, but the change has enabled me to stick with it - knowing that the workouts will be at specific times, will not be exactly the same from day-to-day (but will still be set so I don't have to plan them), and I will not have to fight anyone over equipment. With the addition of group reinforcement on the FB page from people all shapes, sizes, and ages, it is great value for the money. I have been going every weekday morning for about half a year now and have lost ten pounds without really changing my diet; I've also lost several inches and gained 6% muscle. Going helps me feel accomplished and clears brain fog for my workday; the sessions are strictly half hour, monitored, and heart safe. The place was a little hard to find the first time, but I’d recommend to anyone. Steve even encourages members to bring their children and has set aside a play area for young ones next to the lounge where parents can still watch. The only negative thing I could say is that there is no bathroom, so if you have to use one, you would have to find it somewhere else downtown.

As someone who hates exercise, I love these classes. I take my 5th class tomorrow and I already feel stronger and have more energy. The people there are super nice. I like that I don't have to get on the floor and there is lots of variety.

HitZone is a experience all on its own not just another Gym or ordinary workout place
The people (Members) are Amazing,Encouraging, uplifting to each other this has A lot to say about this place no Judgment it doesn’t matter get give it a try you well see for yourself just what I say I true we are a team, friends, family and oh let me also tell you about the great Coach/Trainer we have he is a one of a kind helpful and patient also there to answer questions and solve problems

I have always been one to HATE exercising! 1. Just to be honest, IT SUCKS! 2. Who has time in this busy world with kids, jobs, and life in general? I found HITZone through Facebook and was skeptical at first, thinking "oh great, another gym is all we need" but there was one thing different about them that intrigued me "25 minute sessions, twice a week" WAIT! WHAT? Do you mean to tell me I can get exercise in 25 minutes? So, I broke down, sent a Facebook instant message, and someone messaged back immediately asking for my number to talk on the phone. Yes, it was awkward, but I agreed. The next morning I got a call from a man with an accent that was definitely not from Kentucky 🤣 it took me a minute to understand him, but after 15 minutes he was very kind and informative and I agreed to meet with him at the studio. After being introduced to the HITZone way, starting my sessions, and now almost 4 months in, I can't ever go back to a normal gym! HITZone is EVERYTHING!!! Personal coach, personal sessions provided with heart rate monitoring, health, and wellness coaching. THE WHOLE SHEBANG... The coaches are so nice, very informative, and, most of all, so supportive and inspiring. One would be crazy NOT to give it a go... Sincerely, A HITZone lovin' member....
