Anong’s Saturday classes are the cure for a long week and a great way to start my weekend. She is more than just an instructor who knows the scripted dialogue. Anong TEACHES, and she teaches the whole person: body and soul. Love for the practice and love for her students emanates from her, and her sense of humor suits me perfectly. Her class is the best start to my weekend.

My boyfriend and I visited Hot Yoga Louisville for the Hot 26 Beats class on Sunday afternoon with Amanda (this is a 75 minute Bikram style class with minimal cueing). The class was fantastic, the studio is clean (I appreciate their strong adherence to no shoes in the studio), there is a great sense of community, and just overall a positive vibe. We had an excellent experience and plan to return next time we are in town.

I went here about a month ago for a drop-in. The woman and the front desk and the instructor were both great! Very friendly and accommodating to new members and those new-ish to yoga (I’ve taken a few classes back home in Boston but it’s been awhile for me!) They even texted me after to see how I was doing. I really enjoyed the class. The studio is very bright, and I prefer darker studios but the floor is very soft, which I’ve never experienced in a yoga studio before. The facility is great, clean, and the locker rooms have showers. Hope to come back between my busy work schedule, it’s a 45 min drive for me but worth it.

Looking for a truly inclusive studio that offers a variety of classes throughout the day (Hot 26, Barkan Vinyasa, flow classes, hot Pilates, core intervals), amazing teachers, and a friendly staff? Look no further and get on in here!! Easy scheduling via the app, parking around back, entrance back of building (door closest to Starbucks). You won’t be disappointed!

Five stars!! Hot Yoga Louisville has rejuvenated a motivation inside me! Always been an athlete, played soccer for 18 years, ran to stay in shape, etc…
Suffered a workplace fall, w/ injuries in June and have been reaching for any rehabilitation method possible…Friends mentioned yoga. Initially, I shunned it. Tried a few classes at Hot Yoga of Louisville and was hooked!! Revitalized my “ runner’s high!” Incredible instructors: (Anong, Kim, Morgan, Ellie, to name a few…) have been welcoming, informative and fun! The studio is clean, well-kept and comfortable. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my two+ months of my introductory yoga experience! Highly recommend!!

I live 45 minutes away and drive in once a week because of how awesome the classes are. They have a time slot and a class for everyone. The Hot 26 class truly puts a different challenge on yoga. It forces you to clear your mind and truly focus. I have had nothing but great experiences with all of the instructors as well. They have been as open and as helpful as I could've hoped for.

I would like to Say "Thank You" again KIM DETRECH, last Class was phenomenal. I have found you to be more than an Instructor, your teaching method is one of a Kind. Out of all the Instructors you emphasize Technique, and this is a True representation of a you as an Fitness Instructor. Your Instructions are easy to Follow and they're well Calculated by each Poses.

I would Highly recommend "you" Kim to anyone who is New and Unsure about taking on the Challenge of reinventing themselves.

I fell in love with Hot Yoga Louisville as soon as I walked in the door. The instructors are INCREDIBLY talented, giving you the tools you need to kick start your yoga journey. Great experience! This studio is under new management and there is a fresh sense of mindfulness and attention to detail that is winsome and worthy of consideration for those new to the practice of yoga or for those who may have visited in the past. Emily and Caden have breathed life into this studio and I highly recommend it to you! I had an epic experience with Louisville’s very own Bikram Yoga Sage Mary Ann on Tuesday at 11:30am! It was 75 minutes of pure ecstasy and detailed teaching with a awesome rhythm and flow! I will be back! On top of that, the owners called me to see if I had a good experience! What a delightful touch!

I took my first hot yoga class at this studio on September 27, 2014 with Lori. I have gained weight after quitting smoking and am not in good athletic shape. She was very encouraging and informative before class and it was under her guidance that I was even able to stay in the hot studio for the whole class. I was instantly addicted. I paid for the initial unlimited monthly deal and coordinated my schedule with my daughter's father and work in order to go as much as possible. After taking 5 classes, I decided to attend an "Intro" class with Charm to get more one on one attention with my awkwardly attempted beginner's poses. Charm was absent and in her place was an older, heavily made up, minimally clothed woman. I am a size 8/9, however, I was the biggest girl in the small beginners class. This woman asked me 3 times in front of everyone before starting class if "I was sure" I had done yoga before. Um, I'm an adult. Yes, I know where I spend my time and money, lady. She didn't improve on her attitude or communication from the minute she stepped in front of us to the end of class. She berated every single "beginner" in the class saying things like "Why can't you do this?" "Are you even trying?" She forced two other females deeper into their poses in class risking serious injury for a true beginner. It took all of my "yoga power" to stay in the class for the whole amount of time witnessing this type of treatment and after being publically embarrassed. The final straw was when this instructor went around and made sure we were all "not blinking" in Savasana pose (simply laying on your back a/k/a corpse pose). Whoever thinks this behavior embodies any of the principals of yoga is out of their mind. When I was finally able to leave the studio and look up the instructor, I was horrified it was "Betsy" - the owner. I gave up my remaining 2 weeks of unlimited classes and began attending classes at other studios - most of whom gave me a free class to try after hearing my horror story about Betsy. I do not recommend this studio for anyone other than a seasoned, advanced to expert level yogi unless you have a very thick skin and deaf ears.

Gorgeous space, warm & welcoming community, best teachers in the city, Betsy runs a dynamic studio, the benchmark by which I judge all other studios. Her team is friendly, attentive, talented & devoted. She is a Louisville legend. Worth every penny! I lived in Louisville for four & a half years. My time at Betsy's grounded me, provided me an incredible network of genuinely positive-minded yogis, challenged me with incredible work outs, and provided structure for self-reflection & self-growth.

★ 5

I've been attending Betsy's hot yoga for about a year now. This is a professional and practice oriented spot ran by a very much experienced owner ( Betsy) who strives for perfection and attention to detail in all her classes and instructors. Now, I would be lying if I told you that it's going to be easy your first time trying this type of yoga, but I will definitely tell you that you'll see results within your first week.
If you stick to the rules and listen to your instructor magic will happen. This is hard work and it is not for everyone! I have seen many people come in and then complain about the class for minimal aspects and small details that mainly were partially their fault. ( not the instructor's)
So if you are a yoga fanatic and is someone who is willing to take your practice to the next level, then I highly recommend this yoga studio. If you're simply not willing to put in the work that is required in order to achieve the correct results and benefits of hot yoga, then at least try it for a week before making negative reviews.
I recommend Mary Ann's classes, only because she is in my opinion the best instructor Betsey's got, plus She's one of the most caring people I've met since I moved down to ky from ohio.

★ 1

This place is a joke. Teachers are paid slave wages, the bathrooms you can barely fit in. There are a couple of good teachers and they teach at other places too so you can see them at other gyms. Meredith is a good teacher. But the way this place is managed is utterly ridiculous. The prices are ridiculous, and it's just not a friendly "hot yoga" environment that you would expect. I hear students complain all the time. One time a friend of mine walked out to get some water, and the teachers started talking bad about her to the rest of the class. It's just poorly managed. The guy at the front desk was extremely rude when I asked him the price for a bottle of water, he also smelled awful. Go see for yourself, it's basically a bad car dealership run by a very poor manager. Will never be going back! I went to Yoga East down the street, it was great. Friendlier too.

I gave Betsy's 4 out of 5 stars. The class was great, the teacher was enthusiastic, motivating and did a great job guiding us through the class. My only complaint about my experience was because of another woman working at the studio. Just before final savasana a woman bursts into the room and calls out about 4 students, yelling, "Is there a NAME, NAME, NAME, NAME in here? You didn't sign in before class - can you stop by the front desk?" Then she also mentioned, "There is also someone else who didn't sign in, I see 18 people in here and there's only 17 on the list." (Or something like that) VERY annoying before a savasana. Maybe she wasn't aware that class ends AFTER savasana, not before. Plus she was kind of rude and short before class.
