Awesome gym. I was visiting family here, and it’s rare to find gyms with competition style bench and equipment. Vibe is also top tier, with proper music (none of that dance edm garbage). Absolutely the place to hit it.

Only gym in Harrodsburg, and the gym owners uses that to his and her advantage. This gym you think is a decent place until you really see the environment (the click) and the kind of people the owners really are. Owners are extremely greedy, lie about being able to cancel memberships or even increasing the membership without notification before hand. They will try so hard to persuade you to stick it out and keep paying.

If you are a powerlifter, better stay local and not win awards because if you do, the click will weed you out and the owner will become jealous. If you’re a real trainer and don’t stand there and clap your hands for someone pulling on some bands, the owners will have issues with you.

Not to mention these people are “yes” people. They will stalk you, harass you, and even taunt you but in your face will try and be lovey dovey like they’re your best friend.

I’d suggest Planet Fitness or Atomic in Stanford over this junk.

I recently purchased a business in Harrodsburg KY and found my way to Image.
Doug and his entire staff are amazing! There is a variety and abundance of equipment for strength and conditioning as well as cardio. I fall more into the powerlifting community so I was so excited to find a deadlift platform, and a mono lift. I’ve met competitive bodybuilders as well as casual fitness enthusiasts and beginners too. It’s a welcome place for all of us no matter where we are at on our fitness journey! Great people, great place, so happy to have a home there.

The place is a very clean gym with some real nice equipment. had some small issues with the billing department but after a quick talk with the owner doug everything was handled professionally and accordingly !! Much respect I will be back

Amazing facility with top of the line equipment, super clean, friendly staff and a comfortable environment for beginners to professional athletes to train at or just improve your body, strength and muscles!! Gym owners are very professional and offer personal training as well as group classes or you can exercise at your own pace. I highly recommend this gym!!

I absolutely love this place. There are plenty of free weights and benches, so you don't have to wait around or rearrange your workout because someone is on the station or using the weights you need. The cardio equipment is cardio equipment; no gym outside of mega-chains is going to upgrade unless something breaks, and I have found that the machines are typically in working order. Some of the benches and machines have some wear on the leather, but that's to be expected, considering some of the weight members subject them to. On the flip side of that, you can look around and see where worn equipment has been refurbished or replaced, so it's not like the owners are ignoring it. Everything is clean, and the owners and employees are always cleaning, when they're not serving customers.

Now, as for the people who work there, I couldn't ask for a more friendly bunch of people. Although everyone there is always ready with a friendly smile, most of the interaction I have had with them has been with Doug. He gave me my initial tour and signed me up, and ever since, whenever I walk in he greets me warmly, whether he's at the desk or across the room. He even called in his maintenance guy the day I stupidly locked my keys in my locker, and that dude wasted NO time getting there.

As far as other customers - this is definitely not Planet Fitness. There are people in there lifting heavy weights, some of them training for competitions. Weights are dropped, and you can tell when people are hitting their last few reps or their last set by the noises they make. Most people go there to actually work out; I don't think I have seen a single person snapping "gym selfies." There aren't people clustering around equipment, just yukkin' it up, while blocking access for other members. Overall, the other patrons are very respectful of others' space and time.

There are some cons that go along with being a small, family owned gym, and I think I have covered and rebutted most of them. All of the one-star reviews are people whining about canceling; everyone whines about canceling anything. Look at reviews for Dish/DirectTV, for example. Of course they want a chance to talk you out of canceling, YOU are their livelihood.
Beyond that, I get the sense that the owners truly care for their customers.

This is a great place, and I am torn between wanting them to grow and thrive, and wanting to keep the place to myself!

Doug's awesome! Really helped me out and figured out a workout plan for my time here at home. Really went above and beyond to help me maintain my fitness goals while I visit home from being on leave after being stationed overseas for so long, which is a major stress relief for me so I can maintain my physical readiness for when I return to duty.

Half the equipment barely works. They have awful customer service and very unprofessional. They try to give you the run around to keep taking your money every month saying in order to cancel you have to sign a paper but only if the owner is there to watch you sign it. Highly don’t recommend coming here! There’s obviously more than one person having this issue.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Doug is a bully and will hold you hostage in a membership. Regardless of your circumstances. He will pass the blame on everyone except himself. He’s losing a lot of people’s memberships so his tactic is to harass you to no end! Oh and will threaten you with collections! EVEN THOUGH I signed his cancellation form.. like why be argumentative? and make things up? Just cancel the membership! I signed the forms. Did what they asked. I left because of my boyfriend? Lol that’s slander sir, I don’t have a boyfriend.

All fine and dandy until you try to go and cancel your subscription and they beat around the bush about it and make you come in and sign to cancel it. Then you will still get charged another month after the month you actually cancel it and turn in you key tag. So your paying for nothing for a month when they take your key tag too and still charge you again. I ended up having to go to my bank to cancel it so i knew for sure!

WORST customer service experience and all I wanted to do was cancel my membership. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I suggest going with planet fitness or 24 hr fitness. It went from me requesting to cancel my membership to being questioned and criticized about my lack of commitment to my own health.

update: This review is not of the business but the customer service! The policy is there for a reason but in my experience with much more professional businesses that value their customers, they actually go consider the customer's situation and actually make decisions accordingly. You are wanting me to stop by all the while I am on the other side of the country just to sign a document, there are other avenues to get my signature and for one you had mentioned mailing you the signed documents, I'm still waiting on the cancellation form so I could sign it and snail mail it to you. It is 2023 and with the security in technology that we have access to now you still require "stopping by" to sign.
THIS RESPONSE YOU'VE GIVEN IS EXACTLY WHY I SAY THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Way to go deflecting and choosing NOT to take care of your customer that is still paying by the way... Dont get a membership plan through the company you work for and expect to come here. Was told they didn't like our Walmart fitness plan and they would rather work something else out. If it's that big of an issue that we got a fitness plan through our work they should let it be known they don't want to uphold those plans.

Dishonest owner. The owner below states that he has not heard from me since I joined. I plainly stated when I joined that I travel the country building large scale solar farms. He told me that I should just get the monthly and send a letter with the tag stating that I wished to cancel my membership, I did so and 3 months later, and several states away, I am still being charged. If you are truthful in your sentiment and there has been a misunderstanding then please cancel my membership, since corporate has as much an issue as I do with getting ahold of you. If it IS a miscommunication then I will apologize, recant ans remove this review.

Great environment, great gym. Owner is there on site every day and very accommodating. This helps the gym “have a face” and gives Image Fitness character. Equipment is in good, working order. Tried canceling with them. The owner proceeded to be very rude and tell me to rerack my weight which I didn’t intentionally do and is understandable. However, I addressed the fact that half the machines and cardio equipment doesn’t work and he told told me “ill see you when you get here” and hang up on my face. Was very rude and had never mentioned to me that I left my weights untracked until I called to cancel. Tried canceling 3 times now and they weren’t helpful at all. The gym doesn’t have equipment that works. Every time at least 2-3 machines are out and unsafe. 80% of the cardio equipment is dangerous because it’s ignore, not maintained and damaged, they never replace broken things. If I was treated better and equipment worked I probably would have stayed but not after this experience.
