Easy day pass sign up online and getting in after hours was a breeze! The perfect gym during our vacation from home! Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

A couple weeks ago, we visited Louisville for two days. In need of a workout on an elliptical, during those two days, I tried Jays World of Fitness 24/7 gym on a day pass. I was delighted. Jay is cool, I’m telling you (enthusiastic, considerate, likable). There were three clean, like new elliptical machines. I chose the one closest to my home elliptical, and it was just what I needed.

Jay's World of Fitness strikes a great balance between a welcoming atmosphere and an excellent selection of equipment. The gym is well-maintained, clean, offering a variety of machines and free weights that cater to both beginners and seasoned lifters. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help or provide advice on workout routines. Prices are reasonable, making it accessible. Overall, Jay's World of Fitness provides a fantastic environment and I recommend for any locals in the area looking for a new gym.

I needed a gym for the day as my usual one was closed for the weekend. Being this was so close to where I live, I decided to give it a shot. Day pass was $15. I followed the instructions on the website to call first. No issues, the staff member was quick to answer. The door was opened remotely despite the gym not being staffed.

It's pretty small but there is sufficient equipment for most people, albeit some of it is in disrepair or showing age. It was clean, water is provided by a fountain and there are plenty of TVs FYE. I stayed over two hours and got a great workout in.

In case you're wondering, monthly memberships are $50 or you can get six months for $300. I'd suggest the day pass to try the gym first. One advantage being a neighborhood gym is that it's not typically crowded and it's not a meat market. I felt comfortable working out despite a few other people being around. If you live in the Highlands especially, give it a shot.

Gym is an outstanding local gym. Affordable, convenient. The owner Jay is motivated and the gym keeps improving. Highly recommended for locals in the highlands. Walk here a few days a week and it does the trick!

Literally had a time set up to come and workout here, at a "24/7 gym", and nobody was here. Called multiple times and nobody answered. Finally a guy answers and basically tells me I can't get in. How is this place in business. IS this place in business? Don't bother making the walk here unless you're dying to stand outside on the street in front of a blacked out building.

Unsure if this place is even still open. Website is horrible. This gym is no longer listed on the app they want you to download to purchase a membership either.

They discontinued the insurance benefits. I’m a low income autistic person and the rates here are inaccessible. This place is one example of how if you’re able bodied and fully functioning you can have access to this gym. I feel discriminated since there is no gym that is walking distance of me anymore and now my body goals are going to stall. Welcome to a non inclusive gym. You would think this review sounds selfish unless you understand disability experience and do your research. Hope this reaches the owner. I walk a good distance from Frankfort Avenue in all weather and seasons to get here just so I can take care of something I wanted for years. This really doesn’t look good for you guys. You messed up once and I forgave it. Now you’re doing it again and leaving a disabled person more vulnerable to ableism due people just wanting money. If I were you, I would keep it.

Is this place open? The front door is locked, no one answers the phone, and the website taunts you with the possibility but doesn’t allow one to sign up.

The most complete lifting and cardio gym in the Highlands. All the equipment in well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. This is the place for solo training at any hour - get a fob and get going!

The best gym in Louisville with the best staff! Taylor helped me out through the signup process. Taylor is also always making sure the place stays spotless, cleaning everyday. Taylor is also always there to help you out if you need anything!

This company is shady, stay away!! They continued to charge me for almost 6 months after I cancelled my membership and won't give me a refund because they say I didn't properly fill out my cancelation form, despite confirming I cancelled in October and that it's in their system. I have called close to a dozen times to try to resolve this issue directly with them but have had no success.

Never crowded, and stocked with all of the essential equipment despite being a compact space. Clean and always open. The clientele are diverse and friendly. The staff even wave when they see me on the street.

I began my membership, years ago. It's small, & convenient, if you prefer to be active, casual, & walking to where u want to eat, or see a movie - after a work-out. I look forward to dating, if I ever get employment, & fitness, as I need it to be...Sorry. I love this 24/7 option. 😁 It helps me evolve, too. 🥳

Great gym in a perfect location. Ownership is friendly and encouraging. Has all the equipment you would need whether you just want to get in better shape or want to compete in bodybuilding or powerlifting. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area. It’s a good environment, and a good mix of people in terms of types of workouts (I almost never wait for equipment). If you’re looking for a gym in the highlands area, this is the place to be!

I recently moved to The Highlands in Louisville and have been looking for a new gym that would provide me with a place to lift which felt comfortable and offered me everything I needed for a great workout. I am so excited to have found this place!! I immediately felt at home when I walked in. The GM, Taylor was super nice and friendly. It was so nice to meet another person in this area who is into powerlifting and strength training. Bon, their GM of the second location The Factory Gym, was super friendly when I initially reached out to him to ask about drop-ins and even followed up with me the next day to find out if I was able to make it in and make sure I felt comfortable there. This is a GREAT environment for anyone looking for a new gym or a place to start or get back into a training program. Definitely looking forward to the growth I'm going to make here. Five stars!

Terrible gym and customer service experience from the beginning. I signed up for this gym back over the summer but have only went about 5 times because each time the gym staff are either not wearing masks or are wearing them improperly at best. First day I came in it was a "remodel" day and staff were walking around drinking beer and leaving equipment strewn out in the way to the point you could barely walk without nearly tripping on something.

I just moved out of town and have tried for two weeks, to no avail, to cancel my membership. I have called. I have emailed. I have messaged the gym's page on Facebook. I have even left a hand written note on the desk along with my fob, asking that someone please get in touch with me. Radio silence. Now that I've moved out of town I have been calling the number on the website numerous times and the number is not even working now. I would not recommend this gym to anyone based on my experience.

Management - if you are reading this - PLEASE CONTACT ME AND LET ME KNOW IF MY MEMBERSHIP WAS CANCELLED. And please ask your staff to be respectful of your patrons' health and safety by wearing a mask during a deadly global pandemic, especially when you have a large sign on your front door requiring your members to do the same.

The gym looks nice and clean! I'll stopped by twice now to try and sign up for membership.I just saw the other Google review noting the hours are from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. for new members. That's helpful and I will be back. Just a suggestion, you might sign up for acuity scheduling for allowing new members to join. It's an awesome software and works great for managing memberships.

I enrolled for a personal training when they attended for wellness fair in our company last year and I paid the entire fee for my schedule at once and they said they will refund the money any time for unused classes my first few classes were good and all of a sudden my trainer left the place and they asked me to continue with a new trainer which i am not comfortable. So I asked for a refund for rest of my classes they refused and forced me to take the training classes. "NEVER EVER TRY THIS GYM "

Their Highlands location is small but clean & super convenient if you live in the area.
Their St. Matthews location is bigger & relatively clean. I really did enjoy going to this gym, but the trouble started when I tried to cancel my membership & they still charged my credit card for 4 extra months. When my husband & I bought a house in a different neighborhood, going to this gym no longer made sense & we cancelled our memberships. My husband canceled & didn’t have any problems. I went in, filled out the form to cancel & turned in my key fob. The credit card I used for autopay is one I don’t use very often so although I monitor the account, I don’t monitor it as often. It wasn’t until 4 months later I noticed I was still paying for a membership here (I understand I should have monitored it more). When I called in the nice girl said she would have a manager call me back. Michelle, the manager, called me later that day & said that she pulled my record & found the form I initially filled out. She let me know that I should see my money reimbursed by the end of the week. Honestly, I wasn’t mad, bc accidents happen & things slip through the cracks & they were nice about how they handled it. 2 weeks go by, I check my credit card statement again & notice that not only have I not been reimbursed, but an additional months membership was charged. This is where I’m getting a little irritated. I call in again & ask to speak with a manager. I speak with Michelle, I was calm & didn’t use any profanity, but you could tell I was upset (rightfully so, they now had almost $120 of my money for a membership I cancelled 4 months ago). Michelle must have misunderstood me because she snapped, blew up on me, then said the Owner would call me & hung up. She didn’t give any timeframe as to when the Owner would call me–how long am I supposed to wait around? That’s all I need to know, so I can plan to follow up accordingly. When I called back she didn’t answer & when I finally got through a boy answered. He said the Owner would call me when he would–this is not a satisfactory answer for a customer who you have been taking 4 months worth of membership money from. Again, all I want to know is when the Owner would call me back so I know when to follow up if I haven’t heard back. When I finally called back & got Michelle she said I was harassing her for calling in multiple times, which proves that she was intentionally ignoring my calls–again, I just wanted to know when the Owner was going to call me. When Michelle still couldn’t tell me when I would hear back from the owner, I expressed that I was frustrated & said, “I’m never going to get my money back, am I?” Michelle insulted me further & said, “Are you going to cry? Is this what you do when you don’t get your way? How old are you?” Trying to get my money back that is rightfully mine is not “getting my way” it’s just the right thing. By the end Michelle said the Owner would give me a call by the end of the day & hung up on me. If I had a dollar for every time Michelle insulted me or hung up on me I would have the value of the money this gym took from me. The Owner did call me later that day; I was refunded my money by the end of the week. Although the Owner was able to make this right with me, I have a terrible taste in my mouth because of my interaction with Michelle, their manager. I have no facts on if Michelle is related to the owner, but the best way to describe her & her attitude is Michelle acted like an “entitled owner’s wife.” I am a HUGE supporter of small businesses, however, after this experience I can tell you THIS BUSINESS WILL GO DOWN WITH A MANAGER LIKE MICHELLE. She is rude, insulting, & I have never been hung up on by a business that is actively taking my money; the standards of Get Fit 24/7 are clearly lower than I thought with Michelle on staff. The Owner was nice and I hope for his sake he rethinks having Michelle on staff. I am thankful our recent move resulted in the change of gyms, even if it is to a national chain.

This is a real hidden gem!

I love having this gym within walking distance. I have a weird work schedule so I generally go after staffed hours but when I have interacted with the staff they have been the friendliest, most helpful staff of any gym I've joined. They never make me feel pressured to upsell or uncomfortable asking a question, which I really appreciate.

The facilities are also CLEAN. This is a very well-maintained gym and machines that I have noticed are out of order are repaired very quickly. It may be more expensive but the experience is so much better than at a place like Planet Fitness.

Again, I go at off hours but the small size has never felt cramped and I rarely have to wait for anything. The crowd seems pretty diverse, mostly other people from the neighborhood. Not broey or cruisey. When I've gone on weekend mornings it has almost always been completely empty aside form myself and a staff member.

I like that they offer a month-to-month subscription so that you don't have to try and deal with breaking a contract if you move or change your mind. It's a few dollars more per month but I think it's worth it for the flexibility.

Good little neighborhood gym. Most people attending live around here. The space is small, but has plenty of equipment. There's even a Jacob's Ladder.

First off Caroline, it should have nothing to do with ones heritage or racial decent in regards to a place feeling comfortable and welcoming. As for my subscription experience. About a year and a half ago, I signed up for the monthly membership, then about three months later. I took the leap and went for that yearly commitment. After about two months in, I looked at my credit card statement and realized that my monthly subscription had not been canceled once I jumped over to yearly. But once I let the staff know what happened. The 12 month membership became 18 months and I could not be a happier.
