Do NOT send your child to this so-called “Cheer Camp” if they are under the age of 13. It is negligent, unprofessional, and unsafe. This is not a one off, its a pattern. I just discovered another parent had a nearly identical experience meaning this is a recurring problem they’ve never fixed.

My daughter was injured during camp while the staff sat on their phones. They dismissed her injury, had no certified staff on site, and actually had to run next door just to get ice. No one called me. Instead, I received an email a day or so later from the owner (who wasn’t even present at the time of the injury) that said:

“We do not call parents for minor bumps, scrapes, or bruises. Athletes jam their fingers in cheer quite often. I know I’ve jammed mine hundreds of times… playing basketball, football, and in daily activities…”

This was not a jam. It was a broken finger in two places with a growth plate injury! The camp does not hold proper legal certifications for pediatric campers, and it shows.

And if that wasn’t enough, when I arrived to pick up my child a day before, I was stopped by LG&E, the power company, who asked if I was the owner and could pay the 6 months of overdue bills. They were were shutting off electricity within 10 minutes. This is not just carelessness; it’s a pattern of negligence. They should not be allowed to run a children’s program, let alone one that involves physical training.

This is a stellar operation! The owners Josh and Ashley are staunch hard workers who love and support their athletes at all times. My granddaughter joined about 2 yrs ago knowing nothing and now has many tumbling skills and much practice with dancing and showmanship.
Teachers/Coaches are always positive and have high expectations without undue pressure. I’m happy to be a part of this program.

My daughter is coming up on year 3 at KCC and we love it! From the standards to which our athletes are held to the coaching and relationships that are built within the teams, we have loved everything about KCC. Gracie has improved IMMENSELY since she started at age 4 and now that she’s completed two half-seasons (a fabulous option for beginners!) we are going in to the 2024-2025 FULL SEASON 100% ready. We have been using this facility for a few months and WOW is all I can say.
Wonderful, knowledgeable coaches that encourage and TRULY coach all athletes.
We make a 35 minute drive to be here and there are multiple gyms to choose from on the way. Our experience here has been unlike any other we’ve had and look forward to our many years of growth here!!

After attending a Bellarmine cheerleading camp in the summer at KCC, our daughter absolutely fell in love with cheer. She was in gymnastics classes for several years and decided she wanted to try tumbling for cheer so we signed her up for classes, and later she tried out for the half season competitive cheer team. The coaches are knowledgeable, well-trained and truly love what they do and it shows. Our daughter is now on a full season competitive team, and has really grown and developed her skills over the last year. We have tumbled at KCC since 2016 and there isn't another gym in or around Louisville that compares. Our school cheer program also had a wonderful experience practicing here, with coaches providing proper techniques and guidance for competition routines and stunts/tumbling skills. My oldest daughter is in her 3rd season of All Star Cheer and there's nowhere I trust more with her safety and development of a sport she loves. We live in Bullitt county, which has two other cheer gym options within 5 minutes, but we still choose KCC because of their incredible coaching staff. They're committed to helping the athletes achieve more than just excelling in cheer, but also enstilling values that make them coachable and successful in life.

I wouldn't recommend this facility. It is not safe. My 9 year old daughter was injured while doing a stunt during one of their practices and no one ever contacted me during the practice to come get her and take her to the ER. We only found out about her fall when we picked up her at the end of practice that night.
After a trip to the ER and then a pediatric orthopedist, we learned her wrist and growth plate were fractured in two places! The main coach took a week to reply to my email about the situation and I was allowed to stop making monthly payments for the remainder of my term since my daughter was in a cast. However, after that initial email, neither the main coach nor the assistant ever reached out again to check on my daughter's condition. There was not one phone call or email to check on her. The entire experience was disappointing, rude and unprofessional. Once they can't get your money, they don't care.

KCC is the ideal facility for school teams! We love the privacy and one on one with the instructors! Everything you need is right here: tumbling instruction, skills camps, choreography, music, and more! Great facility and great price! Flexible scheduling and free open gyms make it so my cheerleaders have plenty of opportunity to learn and develop!

We absolutely love all the staff here at KCC. Each of them care about the kids achievements;,they lift them up and encourage them. I've never heard a Coach talk down to participant. They are stern (hey, they want to win), but they never tear a kid down. I love that they take the time to find and fix a problem in both stunting and tumbling. I also love that they are up on the floor and actively showing them how to do things the right way.
